I still can’t believe it. Sadly I’m at work tonight but will catch up tomorrow. I don’t know if enjoy is the word. www.google.co.uk/amp/www.radiotimes.com/news/2017-10-16/george-michael-freedom-channel-4-extended-trailer/amp/

😢

AnneEyhtMeyer · 16/10/2017 22:14

He was amazing in every way. This is heartbreaking.

Alvinstail · 16/10/2017 22:21

I have never heard a bad word uttered about him. I am finding this a very emotional program. The footage of him with Answlmo is heartbreaking.

Grammy78 · 16/10/2017 22:23

So awful to think about all the shit he got from certain sections of the media when he was already going through so much.

Absolutely Grammy78 !!

Graphista · 16/10/2017 22:29

I think a lot of addicts are self treating mh issues to be honest

Grammy78 · 16/10/2017 22:31

Definitely Graphista.

Grammy78 · 16/10/2017 22:33

I never knew Spinning the Wheel was about HIV. Listening to the lyrics then and knowing what they're about was a real 'Wow!' moment.

Graphista · 16/10/2017 22:37

Grammy I think at the time he was vaguely relating it to Freddy Mercury.

In addition to anselmo and freddy a lot of other entertainers that George would have known/been friends with were being diagnosed with either hiv or AIDS.

Older was out around the time of my first mc and I did find it soothing.

Alvinstail · 16/10/2017 22:37

Loved how Ricky Gervais spoke of him.

Graphista · 16/10/2017 22:42

Ricky confuses me - when he's being 'straight' I like what he says but I don't like his humour

KERALA1 · 16/10/2017 22:43

Sad seeing him and Whitney - huge for us late 80s/ early 90s teens both gone Sad

Graphista · 16/10/2017 22:46

Total weep fest Sad

He's right we won't see his like again

Grammy78 · 16/10/2017 22:47

It really feels like a goodbye. Sad

Jellykat · 16/10/2017 22:47

So beautiful inside, and out... < sigh >

Graphista · 16/10/2017 22:47

Curious as to why Andrew wasn't on commenting, in a worried way, heard rumours he's not been well too.

colouringinagain · 16/10/2017 22:47

He really was a lovely man with an amazing talent. RIP Flowers

SipsiCat · 16/10/2017 22:48

RIP George Flowers

Hollystyrene · 16/10/2017 22:49

So beautiful.

and a bit of a double take to see the Sony logo at the end of the credits, after all that...

honeyroar · 16/10/2017 22:49

I feel like I've learned a lot about him since he died that i wish people had known before. He was a pretty amazing person, and I wasn't particularly a fan (although liked a lot of what he did).

Love the Turn a Different Corner duet with Chris Martin.

Ps, I don't like Ricky Gervais's humour much either, but think he's a wonderful person. I'm an air stewardess and I had him as a passenger once. He was one of the most down to earth celebrities I've ever met.

Thornyrose7 · 16/10/2017 22:50

Feeling emotional. Such a huge loss.

Grammy78 · 16/10/2017 22:51

Hollystyrene, I thought the same about the Sony logo at the end.

Thirtyrock39 · 16/10/2017 22:53

Totally perfect tv that
Beautiful man
Gervais is clearly a massive fan tbf he's still rocking the faith look!! Makes me really nostalgic - all the cool blokes in late 80s/early 90s were wannabe George's with the designer stubble and big earrings and leather jackets
