Judith looked more like 7 or 8. But they did over-age Rick.

Negan isn't a governor type psychopath. He doesn't kill unless he feels he has to. I'm not saying he's misunderstood or anything - he's done horrific stuff - but he's not someone compelled to kill or 100% driven by his ego. That's why there is room for some kind of rehabilitation, possibly. What would Glenn do if it had been Maggie, though?

Anyone trying to watch Talking Dead and there's no sound?

Yeah that was gross - but lol re 'chili?' on talking dead. Why was she in a long white nightie - was it some kind of carrie reference? It was annoying the way that scene went and pretty obvious his decision is going to be a mistake for Rick in the future.

I only watched 1 minute of talking dead but there was sound.

So Rick and Michonne get trapped in the rubbish pile and instead of moving the 3 things they end up moving to escape they go deeper in. Why?
Bit of a better episode with a lot more zombies than we've seen in a while.
The Oceanside dialogue was annoying, instead of apologising for killing someone's nan, Enid says 'well tough it was her own fault' yep way to win friends.

Got the idea they are trying to be more and more gross, with things like the minced zombies, as interest is dropping off.

Not sad to see Carl go. Even less sad to see the dumpster lot disposed of. I suspect Negan will lose it (in a gruesome way) when he discovers more than one dumpster person was killed.

Stripy I don't think it's just being gross for the sake of it - more that seeing zombies being disposed off the same old way can get a bit dull. It was pretty gross but I thought effective and visceral (no pun intended). Seeing poor Noah being torn apart - now that was something I could have skipped.

I guess I don't care so much how the zombies go, it's more the gruesome human deaths that bother me.

It's such hard work to watch, although happy Simon killed off a large bunch of characters. It was a rubbish group (no pun intended). Badly cast and scripted they added nothing to the show imo.

They need to get rid of lots more though to make it watchable and enjoyable again - it was way more interesting when it was more focused.

Did Carl have a death scene????

We watched last night's from the beginning and there was no Carl in it whatsoever. It started with the word MICHONNE on the screen and Rick and Michonne packing up and leaving Alexandria, with the grave with the makeshift cross presumably being Carl's.

Have we missed Carl's actual death?! How do you know those visions of older Rick a while back were Carl's?

I don't think it was supposed to be just gross - I think it was meant to be traumatic for Jadis and there will be a storyline following on from it - instead of seeking vengeance on Negan she will be seeking vengeance on Rick? I just don't think it was realistic that Rick leave her there although obviously it was a valid point that she has caused a lot of people to die with her games.

MargotLovedTom1 he died last episode. We didn't see him actually die though. Heard a shot, which I took to be him shooting himself in the head to avoid becoming a zombie.

I didn't mean they were being just gross. I suppose I might have been better saying gory. It's like they are thinking of ways to be more gory.

Maybe I've just blocked stuff from past series out!!!!

Dh has been watching this season but I can't bring myself to pay much attention to it. I'm starting to want Negan to kill Rick.

I'm glad Jadis starts speaking normally though! What was that stuff about a helipad and solar panels? I was hoping the dump was going to turn out to be some cool underground bunker. But I guess the solar panels explain how the mincer worked.

I have not bothered with this week's (yet) because it has been so disappointing for a while, and I was pissed off over Carl's completely unnecessary death. I was considering giving up. Was this week's worth watching, do you think?

I would like to see Jadis getting her comeuppance and talking in complete sentences though!

I have been following this faithfully for seven series, it was stunning in the beginning, and I grew attached to many of the characters. I enjoy sci-fi and fantasy, don't really enjoy gory horror, have to psych myself up to watch sometimes. I just want them to have a happy ending, zombie virus to disappear, etc. It's never going to happen, is it though?

It was on last week????! ! But the Sky planner didn't record it and it's set up to record new series automatically. Grrrrrrr.

Stripy I get what you mean sorry - showing the results coming out the other end of the machine was a bit unnecessary, just showing them going in the machine would have got the point across. I almost wonder if that scene has been planned from the beginning and that was the whole point of the double-crossing junk gang.

Guess it’s not just our Sky Box/Planner that ‘forgets’ series links, it does it often. I checked ours before it was due to record WD & it had ‘forgot’ it’s rather annoying.

I'm taking it as a sign to give up on the whole show - maybe our Sky box is simply very discerning . I'm not even bothered about seeking out that episode on catch up or something.

Where can I watch episode 10 for free, don't have Sky and all the places I used to watch it are not running it. I've always watched online for free what's happening

So I know the standard response to this would be to stop watching, but I feel like I’ve invested a lot of time and emotion in this show and I want to see it through. But really. What a crock.
AMC must surely be setting the pacing as this season is slower than a week in the jail.
The swamp walkers. Like the minced ones of last week it’s just another opportunity for Greg N and his special effects dudes to show what they can do but it’s wearing thin.
Tara. What a bloody hypocrite. You don’t get to change sides eh? Isn’t that exactly what you did? Not that long ago (in the time frame of the show, not the dog years we’ve all be watching for) you were standing beside the Governor while he lopped off Hershel’s noggin were you not? I might be wrong but I CBA to check.
Gabriel- that was actually quite a nice thread until a) the doctor died and b) the blind thing is just going to be a PITA and it makes me a bit sad.

I think that you can tell a lot about how the series is going by how frequently it's posted on in this thread.

I'm desperate for an end to Negan but not sure what I'd keep watching for after that.
