I know they're not surrounded by help, but if be super wary of the trash people if I were Rick. Wouldn't trust them as far as I could through a poorly sculpted wire cat.

The trash people are pretty weird - would they have really developed their own language and gladiator arena within such a short time of the zombie apocalypse?

So bloody frustrating the whole truck thing, at the same time it prob was all about to go south at saviour HQ anyway and if Rick had remained prisoner we would have been yelling for Daryl and co to do SOMETHING!!

What is Eugene doing right now - is he killing himself with pills and wine? He needs to cut off the mullet and get a grip.

I reckon the strange trash people lived in some weird art-trash commune pre apocalypse.

Can anyone tell me what the original plan was? I thought the plan was to send in a truck, but Rick seemed surprised. Like I say, totally not following it lately.

I can believe I'm actually looking forward for this season to end......I really have lost interest in it but don't want to stop incase it improves

If it carries on like this they will loose too many viewers and the show will get cancelled anyway. Have they changed the writers or something? it used to be sooo good but now its just something else I watch rather than the highlight of my telly week.

Poor Eugene lol what was he doing at the end? Has he got sick from touching father Gabrielle? That sounded weirder than I meant it too I don't think he is killing himself. How much is Negan playing him though? I wish Dwight just shot Negan why can't someone just shoot Negan????

I'm not convinced they would have rallied after the walkers got in from the truck crash.

I don't feel like I unrstood anything that happened in episode 7 argh

I didn’t enjoy much of the Eugene part, like others have said I couldn’t hear half of it.
I kept waiting for Negan to walk out and hit Dwight over the head with Lucille when they were outside.
I don’t really get why they all decided to go against the plan. They’ve always worked together so why now when it really counts do they all go off on their own. Is anyone watching to see if Negan etc get out or did they all just leave? Did no one care where Rick was? Even Michonne seems to have forgotten about him. I don’t know why he keeps trusting the scrap woman. He keeps saying everyone will come and kill them and yet no one has even asked where he is. He could have easily been killed there.

I have seen the preview of next week and it does look good so maybe this has all been a bit of a slow burner to a big midseason finale! It is a shame that they’ve stopped working as a team though .

Everything you said JimmyJammy. I didn't even really get what Daryl was trying to achieve. The result of all the saviours escaping through the gap they created strikes me as entirely predictable.

I don't get whether Eugene didn't grass on Dwight or whether he grassed on Dwight off camera, people keep seeming to speak I need code or mumble.

I watch it with my husband and he doesn't care if he doesn't really fully understand whTs going on but it's important to me!

If I'm too thick for a show like TWD there's no hope for me!

When the most die hard fans don't have a clue what's going on, you know the show is going down hill. Which is such a massive shame as I've followed from day 1 and it's my favourite show on TV. They need to send the actors to elocution lessons.

I’ve stopped watching. I’ve got three episodes on catch up waiting but I can’t be arsed.

Oh thank goodness it's not just me thinking it's gone down hill! Last season was DULL this season has been a bit better but If OH didn't insist on watching it I'd probably not bother any more. He still thinks it's great ATM

Maybe they want to go all art-house and plan to gradually increase the mumbling until they have to include subtitles as standard? I couldn't figure out how to turn on the subtitles on nowtv so this would actually be helpful

I complained to my other half about all the mumbling in a lot of tv series I watch I struggle to hear a lot of the big ones. He is a bit of an expert on audio and says it's the way they film it something to do with the sound levels you are supposed to listen at, often recorded to include surround sound he tells this more technically but I zone out. Iv noticed the sound effects and the music is often really loud but voice is always low. So this results in me either putting the subtitles on or sitting with the remote the whole programme trying to tweak at the right times as not to jump out my skin with the adverts screaming at me.

I think twd has been gradually getting worse for this over the years.

Those trashy hoarding people are so irritating. What was the point of trying to attack RIck with a Walker at the end of a stick? Should just leave them to rot.

Negan didn’t really look concerned, with his smirking face. I can’t wait to see what happens to him.

So wait... Was It obvious to Rick and the viewers that the saviours had escaped right at the end? Because I didn't get that from the last shot.

I barely understood any of what was going on, agree with pp about the mumbling.

Really slow and lots of drawn out monologues that don't move the story along at all.

I miss the excitement of it!
