to find the Siobhan/Brian/Ruiri/Jennifer storyline distressing? Is it just cos i'm pg and hormonal - or is this every parent's nightmare. 'what if i die and have to leave my child(ren)'.
sob.
I reckon Jenny will come round. Or at least I hope she does...
Anyone else?!

Aah! TinyGang... that's what I thought. Would be a fab solution (Adam and Ian, I mean), mainly because of how much it would piss off Brian... His only son being raised by his {shock] gay stepson! Yay! You go boys..!

TrilbyOFerrall · 09/04/2007 19:38

Oh bugger. I missed it tonight. Bloody cricket.

What happened?

yew, i reckon elizabeth and nigel will step in. jenny being very annoying. she manages to get on ok with caroline and brian was boning her for years (geddit?!? or am i giving my age away..)
ps apologies for misspelling the ruiari's name but went for how a friend of mine spells it, knowing it would be incorrect as he is scottish.
i'd rather be brought up by lillian that jenny anyway. not wild about elizabeth and not sure about any man who proposes to one sister and moves onto another when he's rejected - but nige is ok i suppose for a tim-nice-but-dim (but still think lizzy only said yes as on the cameron fraser rebound).

OMG yes I did and I got as far as enveloping them and they are still just sat waiting for me to organise myself as far as the PO, I meant to email you and tell you how useless I am ( again), I am sorry!

I will definitely get a bit further with them this week, honest

Lio · 09/04/2007 19:51

Eh, what have I missed? Did Elizabeth volunteer but Siobhan said no? And did Brine propose to Lillian first way back when, then ended up with Jenny?

JanH · 09/04/2007 19:55

Yes and no, Lio (the sisters thing is a ref to Nigel & Shula I think)

I reckon Lizzie was after Lower Loxley as much as on the rebound from nasty Cameron. And Nigel is a love (in a soppy sort of way)

JanH · 09/04/2007 19:57

(Oh, and Lizzie's offer was only in the short-term - to have Ruairi while Siobhan had her chemo, pref at Felpersham not Ireland, but Siobhan wants to be near her mother)

fishie · 09/04/2007 19:58

JanH you are gooood, sure you're not a sw?

i think he'll end up with lizzie (who can't have any more children?) and then EVERYONE will find out.

TrilbyOFerrall · 09/04/2007 20:07

Thanks Jan

Doh, I hate it when I miss an episode.

Did anything interesting happen on the Ed/Will/Emmerrrr/George front?

Lizzie has a heart condition. ACtually I was hoping she would die last time it happened

EnormousChangesAtTheLastMinute · 09/04/2007 22:13

yes, sorry, it was nigel who proposed to shula and was rejected before turning to a heartbroken elizabeth. i agree, lower loxely sealed the deal!
i have been listening waaay too long. i remember eddie proposing to clary. i was a child at the time, obviously...
the whole ed/will/george/emma thing seems to be v low key at the moment - only thing i recall recently was when ed picked george up and held him for a moment outside the shop. but i don't listen religiously so could have missed something.

how come you lot know how to spell Ruiri? You've been on the Archers website haven't you?

I confess, hatwoman

It was George's birthday this weekend ECATLM, Ed bought him a nice present but refused to be around when Will was to bring him over the next day despite Clarrie trying very hard to persuade him (mostly because she wants her boys to be friends again, as if that's ever going to happen!)

i think jenny 'knows' about caroline in that way that cheated on wives know but don't officially know.
did brian have an affair with betty?!?! god, i missed that one. i guess some stuff happened when i'd just left home and life was just a giddy whirl that didn't involve the archers.
still,i was there for the greats, mark hebdon being killed, john archer being crushed to death, susan being sent down (quite spoiled christmas)

Jenny did know about Caroline - and so did Peggy, who was very snotty with her for a very long time but realised eventually that Brian was to blame - probably after he'd had his go at Betty, not to mention Mandy Beesborough from the Pony Club

treacletart · 09/04/2007 22:46

The Archers website says Jennifer knows about his affair with Caroline and his "flirtation" with Betty. Did he and Betty really have an affair?
