I think they just buried the bear that Callum brought with him and the family photos, I think Bernie was cuddling the blanket. I too would have kept the footprints card and blanket Sad

Redcrayons · 15/09/2017 14:10

I've just read on Digital Spy that originally Steven wasn't going to die and that was added in later. If they filmed the hospital scenes before the rewrite it would explain how Ian is remarkably chill about Steven dyIng.

I reckon they do all the hospital scenes in a big batch so they don't have to keep rebuilding the set.

It's all a bit stupid and ridiculous. I feel like I've missed a few episodes and missed the crucial explanation about what's going on.
Ted and Joyce and Shooting Johnnie - why is he even thinking about covering up for Ted, why was Linda only livid when she knew it was Ted and not Joyce? If someone had shot my son I'd rip their head off, no questions asked.

Kush's heart attack played for laughs?

Fi/Max's revenge - long way past caring.

The Taylor's story is so good but has been done a great disservice by being lumped in with the rest of the crap. Although how have I managed to miss that she's got two more kids??

Redcrayons · 15/09/2017 14:27

Kim injured her knee when she was on Strictly last year. It must have been really bad if she is still wearing the support. Looks like they have given up trying to cover it up because I only noticed it this week as well.

The80sweregreat · 15/09/2017 16:21

Poor Tameka and her leg - i have heard this actress speak on another programme a while back and she is really posh in real life, nothing like Kim at all. looks a bad injury.
have to see what tonight brings - will Ian finally start to realise that Steven isnt coming back to work? will it dawn on him that he only has the cafe left now - and nobody to open that up as Kaff has gone off on holiday? is he insured for Beales? so many unanswered questions.

Akire · 15/09/2017 17:26

I doubt he is covered given they be able tell how and why Fire started. Makes sense if filmed while Stephen was still alive. You'd think fit in a crying on corrider somewhere for him! Noones had to ID the body or anything.

I wonder if Lauren will end up pregnant wasn't they going to try? Ian will give her money house and poor Abi left with nothing.

50Symptoms · 15/09/2017 20:05

The Ted and Joyce storyline Zzzzzzzzz.....

I just turn the sound off when that comes on.

50Symptoms · 15/09/2017 20:05

Is Kim really posh in real life Grin. She's a great actress, great sense of humour!

50Symptoms · 15/09/2017 20:11

P.S. Does anyone notice that Eastenders has very good wardrobe, scene setters, hair and make up etc. Forget the name for who's in charge of that kind of stuff. There's a lot of detail e.g. in house decoration. For example, I noticed in Abi's kitchen there is a big yellow sheet saying "Abi's cupboard" in the kitchen which would be the kind of thing she would do.

nancy75 · 15/09/2017 20:27

If I cared less about the spams I would be asleep - I simply do not care if they sling them both in prison & throw the key down a well

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 15/09/2017 20:28

I'm not too keen on Lauren's wardrobe 50. Grin

I agree Red Linda seemed resigned to the fact that Joyce shot her Sausage by mistake and then absolutely livid when she found out it was Ted. Confused

nancy75 · 15/09/2017 20:28

Careful Kush, D has the kiss of death...

nancy75 · 15/09/2017 20:29

Does D have any spare fingers for a wedding ring? She's already sporting a lot of bling there!

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 15/09/2017 20:31

I can't seem to get past the fact that Mr Spam is James Herriot. I keep expecting him to get a call about a cow stuck down a well Nancy

youarenotkiddingme · 15/09/2017 20:32

So the mayor has stepped in to stop the knocking down of walford and the re development.

Guess that's how they are saving Walford from Sean Wink

Found the spamsters storyline quite an anticlimax. We knew something had happened but it took 3 seconds for Ted to break and for them to spill all.

Thinks Kush may be a gonna - Dee have him the kiss of death and the marriage proposal that signifies the end as he went to theatre!

I'm wondering if what he has is genetic and therefore Arthur is at risk? That would be a reason to put Metin behind bars - to leave Stacey to deal with it alone.

nancy75 · 15/09/2017 20:32

Maybe having his hand stuck up a cows bum in his earlier life is the real cause of the ptsd?

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 15/09/2017 20:35

He's been inside a lot of cows. That's got to affect you.

50Symptoms · 15/09/2017 21:03

Grin I lost it

Not getting the Cush heart-attack thing.

Some of the most recent storylines are dull and daft in equal measure.

FairfaxAikman · 15/09/2017 21:08

Sausage was in CtM venella. He was a young lad set to go to uni until his girlfriend announced she was pregnant. She miscarried a he got to go in the end.

LineysRunner · 15/09/2017 21:12

Beyond stupid to have an unelected ceremonial borough mayor 'having a word' with the Council and thus being able to halt a major development. That's up to the Planning Committee or the Council's judicial processes.

Theycalledmethewildrose · 15/09/2017 21:22

The Ted storyline was another PSA - talking is good, look after your mental health.

Sometimes the filming is a bit more suited to a stage play and seems at odds with the rest of EE. Will something now happen with Michelle's guy though I wouldn't be surprised either if that is the end of him, just seems pointless.

Why doesn't anyone think it is extremely odd that Max is babysitting Ian. Why hasn't anyone outside the immediate family mentioned Steven. Would Ian talk to Louis about Steven and then head off to the pub? Wouldn't people come to him to sympathise? Nobody has mentioned him at all.
What was Lauren eyeing up in the fridge? It looked like a plastic bottle of water? What is Louis eating in that house, there is no food in the fridge!

The Abi sign n the cupboard wax part of a storyline when she first moved into the house share.

nancy75 · 15/09/2017 21:38

Lauren was Looking at a bottle of booze in the fridge. Why is she staying in the skuzzy flatshare? Ian is the only one in his house, surely it would be better ( and more hygienic) to stay at Ian's?

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 15/09/2017 22:01

I'm a bit concerned about Abi bringing her baby up in the flat share. It's a bacterial breeding ground.

Lauren must be staying there because it's always heaving with booze. Hmm

dingdongdigeridoo · 15/09/2017 22:44

I didn't know mayors had so much power. Ours just does the big scissors thing and hangs out with the local masons.

Abi's house is gross. Reminds me of my student digs. I laughed at Ian trying to explain the death to Louie. Oh no, that infant is going to be so sad that his stepdad of a few months is gone!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 15/09/2017 23:13

I watched this weeks on catch-up, but was Confused to see Jane walking about through the Square and Stace saying "Lily said to me Is this what Heaven looks like "

I thought "Urgh not a Dream Scene surely , is Jane dead and dreaming of Heaven"?
The Dr would say "Sorry Mr Beale, she's in Heaven now...... Heaven, Heaven"
And Ian sitting bolt upright, sweating and starey eyes.

Then realised I'd clicked onto 04/09 not 11/09 ..................Blush

HateSummer · 16/09/2017 04:17

episode. Ian telling Louis about Steven in heaven: he sounded quite chirpy about it Confused. Why isn't he doing the flubber blubbering? ☹️
