Re Kim's clothes, I forgot she's wearing the knee brace and thought for a second she's wearing blueish purple over knee boots.

What's wrong with Kim's knee? Did I miss an EE bit or is it RL injury - and why is it over her clothes?

I also don't mind Joyce and Ted but at this point I want to know more about their backstories. Maybe one of their kids will come into the show soon? I'm a big fan of Maggie Steed and have been since the days of Shine on Harvey Moon back in the 80's - did anyone else used to watch that? I read she was doing a musical for two months in early summer whilst filming EE in the day so that explains why we're only seeing more of her very recently.

I thought Maggie Steed but great in Jam and Jerusalem but she's wasted in EE.

EE can't even do a baby funeral scene without adding something ridiculous.

The allotment service was lovely. Def showing karen in a different light to a typical 'single mum'

I don't mind Joyce at all either. They just have to develop her character and I like having older people in it. We can't blame her for reading they lines she has been given. Plus she makes a welcome change from the recent Grange Hill type episodes that were filmed in the school.

I liked seeing Michelle saying 'No means no' to tubeman. Usually in EE the women seem grateful for having 'got' the man. He seems really sinister so I'm sure he is going to reveal his true colours soon.

I thought the same about Jane having brain damage. She obviously doesn't seeing as she was able to write a letter on a page. Surely someone would have said that to the doctors.

I think Denise rang Kim. Though why she wouldn't ring Patrick who is reliably supportive to her is anyone's guess.

Why was Whitney trying to get childcare for Arthur, it was breakfast time in the Vic. Surely she could have run across the Square and got Lily ready for school and done the school run. That would have helped Stacey more.

The allotment scene was well done. Did she bury the blanket and footprints image? I'd have kept them so I had something tangible to hold in the future.

Exactly, theycalledme, not their fault they haven't been given anything decent to work with and I also prefer them to those endless episodes in school with teenage struggles going on an on, that got very dull very quickly.
