Lauren well deserved that promotion. She is a self taught web designer whose previous portfolio includes designing the website for Beales. And did you see her with that camera? She's got skills. She should be allowed to work from home, take endless sick days or swan off whenever there is an emergency. Which is daily.

Lauren left Weyland to look after spaniel head. So, now she hasnt a career, or a boyfriend , or a chance to wear Spam's dress. Her sister is a snake who is pregnant by her dead 'boyfriend' and she is looking at having to pay a funeral bill, probably, unless Ian pays it ( but if he finds out the truth, he might not) who'd be a soap character eh?

When Abi went to bed, Lauren was leaning against the kitchen counter necking the vodka. When Abi came downstairs in the morning, Lauren was still propping up the kitchen counter. Must've been a long night.

Re. Dot's super nap: my nan used to be on heavy medication and once slept through some very noisy things going on outside the house. Maybe it's Dot's meds. However, my poor nan didn't get us to step in time, nor did she decide to open someone else's cafe to hand out free drinks – shouldn't the Old Bill be after Dot for that, too?!

Agree re Ian, it's almost like Tiny Tears has lost the plot – literally. As in 'hang on, which bit of the story is this supposed to be? Ummm okay, sad face then , I guess. Let's just sit this out until SOB SOC is gawn'.

The only person who would miss the rings is Lauren really. The others won't even know they were delivered and presumably would think they were cancelled or returned if they did think about them. Surely someone will notice Abi wearing a ring hanging around her neck though.

Abi did hide the rings away under her vet fleece! lol.
of course nobody will see them - Donna might, she is switched on and knows about the baby and Steven, but i have a feeling she will keep quiet.

Caught up jesus wept what with Dots lie in and then clear up Maxweeping and trying to kill jane anyway it was all just too much cack Abi was good though proper bitter and twisted

Lauren said she didn't want to go home - something along the lines of 'how can I go back their to our house and our bed without him'.

I too laughed at the eat your sausage comment. I agree it seems vague that Ian knows about Stephen not a word!! I presume Lauren didn't want to go home because all his stuff, yet Ian being told to go and rest.

I thought give you more time to decide if you wanted see baby, given it's been what 48h max? She was asking to see her, surely these days we have moved on from it's for the best don't see. Can see a teenage self harm thing starting.

The scene with Kim and the defibrillator didn't work at all. Hamming it up for comic effect seemed like bad taste, and I usually love Kim's scenes.

Good point whoever mentioned the odd herbal soup that Joyce brewed up for Dot's migraine.. just before she slept through her neighbourhood blowing up (with some screaming and sirens).
Hopefully Sausagesleuth will get wind of it and stare the truth out of Joyce on her next friendly visit.

Terrible episode, too much Sonia. Surprised Sonia said "heart attack" and not "cardiac arrest", her nurses training must be slipping.
Also I'm not medically trained, but she diagnosed that damn quickly, almost as Kush was hitting the ground.

Also Martins storyline wtf? But Calamity Joyce is wandering around Walford General for casual chats with the sadly invincible Johnny Sausage.

I keep thinking I've missed an episode it's so shambolic,
why is Ian so completely unbothered by Stephen's death?
Why are Jane's mum and brother not around?

How much vodka did Lauren drink while standing in the kitchen overnight?
Why does everyone say a drink could kill her, rather than say she's an alcoholic?!

I think Lauren had liver issues, so a drink could actually kill her.

Couldn't work out if Max stopped squeezing Jane 's tube because he couldn't go through with it or because Ian came back.

I knew that Kush was going to have a heart attack and thought it would be a good storyline to show that young, fit people can have heart attacks but it didn't really come over like that. It got lost in the rest of the mumbo jumbo. Bit like Bernadette's story.

Also Mr Pryce has got better looking since the explosion.

The most stupid thing about Kush's heart attack was that supersonia managed to diagnose him by simply putting her ear to his mouth. I don't recall her checking for a pulse yet she's straight in there with the chest compressions?

As for the defibrillator -

The writing is soooooo bad. Like a hastily assembled team of writers thought up these story lines in a hurry on the afternoon they decided to bin off the current producer, covered in biscuit crumbs and downing vodka red bulls.

Yet I'm still watching it.

Is it going to get better? The last week or so have been a relentless mess, one thing after another.

It will when we see the results of the new producer's work.
