she def has a drink problem

where was sons friends parents?

silly neil, tho is is cute, i still rem him in 2 episodes of hustle, and when he gets conned he is spitting mad and very funny

LoveDeathPrizes · 13/09/2017 15:30

Maudlin Like a sexy dragon.

mydogisthebest · 13/09/2017 15:31

I thought the first series was far fetched enough but this one is just completely mad. A child could write better.

I dislike Gemma intensely. I think she is far worse than Simon. Still don't understand why she went into absolute loony mode just because she found ONE hair on his scarf. If the story line had been that he had previously been unfaithful or they were having problems then maybe but that isn't the case. It's quite easy to get someone else's hair on you unless you never set foot outside the door.

I have always thought Suranne to be a terrible actor and know quite a few people who agree with me although I know she won a BAFTA. I have always thought her method of acting is pulling faces and in this she excels at that

CakeNinja · 13/09/2017 15:33

MyDog, she found the hair on the scarf the same morning she found the lip balm in his pocket which got her suspicious.

Why is she still speaking to Roz? Why is the woman across the street still speaking to her? Why is she pestering young boys? Is it possible to drink so much wine? What was in the box? What about the acid and syringes?
God this is so bad it's good

troodiedoo · 13/09/2017 15:58

Not watched e2 yet but these comments are brilliant Grin

User843022 · 13/09/2017 16:06

'have always thought Suranne to be a terrible actor and know quite a few people who agree with me'
Yes wasn't she in Crimson Fields that WW1 drama that had potential but what with her and Hermione Norris's simpering ended up being unbearable too.
I want to like Dr Foster, I don't mind unhinged and far fetched but the harassing teenage boys and long pauses and stares is all getting a bit silly.

Clawdy · 13/09/2017 16:24

Simon is a brilliant actor. Those smiles that never reach his eyes......The look on his face when he was discussing "my wife" with Neil.....

MrsFring · 13/09/2017 16:31

In that interview above, Bertie ( who sounds like a pretentious cock in rl ) says that this series is 'Greek' and explores hubris. Someone is going to die, the hubris refers to Simon presumably. Please, please O mighty Greek gods let that someone be Simon.

EnidButton · 13/09/2017 16:40

I didn't like the last series but prefer this one. I think I was prepared for it being complete bollocks this time Grin It's soapy escapism.

I think Roz could be talking. She's not to be trusted anyway.

Maybe the teenage friend was going around saying she was coming on to him or something and it made her son snap. He kept leaning away from her like 'wtf'. Mind you I don't blame him. GP watches teenage boy through window and then asks him if he has wine, sits getting pissed whilst discussing her son's sex life/lack of it. Inappropriate is an understatement. Where was the lad's Mum and Dad?

They all have very nice houses.

mydogisthebest · 13/09/2017 17:19

CakeNinja, I must remember that if I find a hair and, god forbid, lip balm my DH must definitely be having an affair. Do men not use lip balm?

Ok maybe a bit suspicious but not go straight to loony mode. As I said, a child could write better. The dialogue in this week's episode was awful

scrabbler3 · 13/09/2017 17:27

Re the nightclub - I thought that Parminster had a university, which would explain a busy club on a week night? I'd understood that Gemma had studied there and I'd assumed that the elderly Welsh doctor had too, years before. Maybe I've got that completely wrong!

Max's parents may have been out, hence his "dance like no one's watching" performance. Her grilling him and asking for wine was so weird.

Bertie and Jodie are fab actors. I was hoping that she'd be in it a little more this week.

I still think that Roz is trustworthy, just awkwardly stuck between her oldest friend and her close colleague and trying to be fair to both.

Margomyhero · 13/09/2017 17:30

A lot happened this week.

Agree that Simon quite likely planned for him to get off with the woman in the pub.

I like their houses - where are they?

Too much wine drinking though - they must all be constantly hungover.

LoveDeathPrizes · 13/09/2017 17:31

I like Jodie too. They've got a few strong female under-used actors.

BR62Y · 13/09/2017 17:47

This series is just utterly ridiculous.

Who would have a shag on the stairs of a nightclub with the bouncers 2 feet away and people walking past yet in the next scene she is having sex with her Bra still on ! Yeah right!

troodiedoo · 13/09/2017 18:29

My mum discovered my dad was having an affair because she found a long blonde hair on the sofa. Think she already had suspicions though.

TurnipCake · 13/09/2017 18:35

Maybe they're gearing up for Season 3 to be Dr Foster in front of a Fitness to Practice panel?

Niamhisnotarealname · 13/09/2017 18:53

I don't think it's revenge, all he goes on about is how she should move on but I think her remaining constant reminds him about what he lost and he can't stand it.
he thinks he hates her but actually, he hates himself. There's my tuppence worth 😊

Niamhisnotarealname · 13/09/2017 19:01

oh my and I am crying laughing at how awkward Tom's poor friend looks!

hollyisalovelyname · 13/09/2017 19:04

The blonde hair on the coat and being suspicious was mad I thought.
DH sometimes has lunch or a coffee with a (different) woman. Just the two of them. It's work or a friendship developed from work. I don't go checking his coat for stray hairs. Smile

famousfour · 13/09/2017 19:13

Utter gribbage (and I quite liked S1).

But semi-compelling in a car crash sort of way.

Nobody in this is particularly sympathetic.

MissEliza · 13/09/2017 19:16

The only good bits of last night's episode were with Neil and Simon. They hate each other but pretend to be mates. I loved Simon getting his own back by putting temptation in Neil's way. That all made sense. I don't know what the rest of it was all about though.

3DGlasses · 13/09/2017 19:19

Totally bonkers and silly...but I enjoyed it very much!

Veterinari · 13/09/2017 21:27

The only thing worse than the plot is those AWFUL clumpy nude shoes!!
