I reckon Gemma's ex paid that woman to have sex with the ginger hair guy. Everything he does is plotted and planned.

It's a drama on midweek T.V. of course it's not realistic.

I read that Suranne had just had a baby before they started filming this, so maybe not feeling super confident about her body, hence weird sheet position and bra left on.

I thought Simon's speech in the new house and Kate's speech at the party last week were wonderful, from an entertainment point of view. The absolute frigging nerve of the pair of them. It reminded me of the simply glorious dinner party scene in the last series. Totally bonkers but oh so much fun We need a bit more of that and a bit less weird stalking and snooping. I was so scared that she was going to make some hideous inappropriate move on that 15 year old

I thought quite s realistic portrayal of someone on the verge of a breakdown with all the risk taking etc

Acting was brilliant

wasn't very good last night too much high drama and all the drinking is awful cant bbc take some responsibility showing people boozing all the time.
Also how unrealistic that she just happened to see into everyone's houses no curtains etc. The young lad was on his own too and she managed to walk round the back of the house and see him how likely?

My God...I think we've jumped the shark. Last nights episode was so bad. I loved the first season for a bit of camp drama but bloody hell. I love Suranne Jones cos she's a right good northerner like moi ;) but she insane grinning and gurning is not acting.

I think this season may hinge on the blonde doctor....went to uni with Simon, also has son by mental father (possibly Simon) there something going on with her.

Not reading the thread yet as I'm half way through ep2 but have paused it to say Bertie C has the smuggest face I have ever seen. I hate whoever he's in screen. Testament to how good an actor he is maybe as I watched that Strange and Norrell thing he did and didn't feel like urge to throw my iPad across the room.

The rest of it is enjoyable nonsense but christ he's loathable. Won't be able to look at Griff Rhys Jones the same again either. Would've bet money they were related but apparently not.

Not sold on the new guy being a plant. Simon is obviously still very bothered about Gemma and Neil having had sex. Kept referring to her as "my wife" instead of my ex. I don't think he'd arrange someone else to have sex with her too.

Bertie is a fantastic actor. He does this weird mouth movement while glaring from under his eyebrows and breathing heavily through his nostrils. It's really intimidating and threatening. I feel Gemma is properly restrained in as far as not punching him squarely in the face. Violence is wrong of course but I can why she would be tempted.
