Ooh the pool is a good observation - there was talk of Simon struggling to swim, the visuals in the opening credits and the reference to Dr Foster - puddles etc.

Simon is SO GROSS!!! Bleurgh! He has a face like a paving slab with a dead guinea pig attached to his chin and teeth like broken piano keys and he is sooooo smarmy!!!! Gahhhh!!! Smug, arrogant, detestable git!!

As for Gemma! She is clearly a loon and her character has clearly been written by a man who thinks this is how wronged wives behave. If you are going to write a female character you should at least understand women??? This writer seems to think that us ladies are unstable basket cases in the face of adversity. Who the frick would invite themselves into a teenage boy's house demanding wine and info like some crazy woman??? And who would shag their new man with morning breath and sweaty pits? And what self respecting man would chase after such a woman???

None of this makes sense (though I will probably still watch it as I'm hoping a hoyse will fall from the sky and land on Simon and his slag-bag.

There were far too many crazy yell at the tv "why would she do that?!" moments.

Don't think sober sane teacher would just leave off her tits Dr in the club like that. He'd have stuck her in taxi and got her home.

Passed out people being trodden on and just left there? They'd be removed.

She should have just looked up on the system what Tom had been in for rather than fabricating a reason to have an impromptu dinner with a woman no one would have hired in the first place because she's clearly nuts too.

I loved it though. May it get even more unbelievable! Maybe Simon & Dr Foster will get back together again and adopt Kate or something.

I think Simon told Tom about Gemma and Neil.

He was vindictive enough to take revenge on Neil when he was having an affair himself.

He probably lied to Tom and said Gemma was cheating to and is no better.

To be fair, it could have been much worse, when Sian said she was gay, I was expecting Gemma would try her old trick of shagging her for blackmail purposes. Still time for that, I guess!

I never watched S1 and bunged watched over the weekend, god it's tosh, but it's fun tosh.

This is far more fun than series one.

Gemma's such a fabulously unhinged yet oddly together, dangerous, sexy, disgraceful character who will make you want to throw rocks at her one minute and be cheering her on next. It's fantastic to see such a non-sterotypical portrayal of a middle aged woman on TV.

Some of you would have her being all responsible, sensible and upset and staying in sitting on the sofa with a slanket and a big bar of chocolate watching films.

Am I the only one who can't get over the insane amount of alcohol Gemma was consuming? I'd have passed out half way through the evening. Also I'm not buying a club in a small town being packed like that on a school night.

Gemma looks less attractive in this series, I don't think the young teacher would be really interested in her. In that nightclub scene she looked like someone's embarrassing mum who had turned up unexpectedly. And didn't that night seem to go on forever! She was at so many houses, and met everyone she knew!

I can't understand the plot, the characters or their motives. Just a bit amazed that no-one at the surgery is surprised at her behaviour. Does she actually do any work?
If the Daily Mail found out about her there would be an expose and she'd be struck off.

Aye it was a school night wasn't it? And yes it's a small town. And no, nightclubs aren't really a thing any more. Looked like she'd strolled into the hedonist lounge at creamfields or something.

I couldn't understand the dialogue. The sober teacher finally got into it and said come back to mine. She suddenly backed off and said no I'm staying here, but see you for breakfast??
