*Un-cringey

TizzyDongue · 12/09/2017 22:31

Missed the first half - stupid recordy box didn't record. Can anyone summrise what happened (saw from when she was in the garden and turned the sensor light on).

No iPlayer access so can't watch that.

Maudlinmaud · 12/09/2017 22:38

Tizzy I was watching from the start but I don't think I could summarise it for you and I'm usually pretty good at that.

TizzyDongue · 12/09/2017 22:40

Oh dear. That bad?

CakeNinja · 12/09/2017 22:41

Just settling in to the second episode. I don't watch much tv but got really into the first series.
This one is quite odd but I'm just trying to catch a glimpse of simons teeth - they seem alright but I can't get that good a look, he does a lot of closed mouth smiling Grin

Maudlinmaud · 12/09/2017 22:43

No I enjoyed it Tizzy, but I was slightly distracted by the cringe fest. I'll need a second watch. Can you not get iplayer

CakeNinja · 12/09/2017 22:43

Ooh, getting a better look now he's talking in great depth to neil about having sex with Gemma Shock very odd conversation Confused
And the teeth are bigger on top than on the bottom but can't really see them being deformed?
Is she having dinner with the other GP to butter her up for info on the sons appointment? Was he asking for condoms?

TizzyDongue · 12/09/2017 22:45

No - not in the UK (get BBC through cable) so iPlayer is a noPlayer!!

Maudlinmaud · 12/09/2017 22:47

I think this is what happened at the start.
Gemma asked Neil to bump into Simon so he could find out about finances. Neil and Simon went out for drinks that evening, Simon knew the game, he got Neil drunk, Neil then went off with a woman.
Gemma went to the blonde GPs house for dinner and tried to find out why her son had been at surgery.

ChickenVindaloo2 · 12/09/2017 22:50

Observations:

  1. Why does no-one close their curtains at night?
  2. I would totally fuck the ginger neighbour, Neil.
CakeNinja · 12/09/2017 22:50

Jesus, she has no boundaries does she??

teaandakitkat · 12/09/2017 22:52

I'm not watching any more. The reason I liked the last series was because you were never entirely sure if she was a bit crazy, or justified in her actions and everyone around her is crazy or what. In this one she is just crazy. Going to her son's friend's house and drinking wine with him? Who would do that? It's too ridiculous.

And Simon is just too creepy. It actually upsets me to watch him. He is really disturbing.

CrizzleMyShizzle · 12/09/2017 22:57

Yeah, the tension has gone.

CakeNinja · 12/09/2017 23:00

Agree, no tension, she's just completely unravelling Confused

Mammysin · 12/09/2017 23:01

I love it ! Was delighted Simon was Quizzing Neil about Gemma. I think the teacher is a bit of a wet blanket tho' !

wineusuallyhelps · 12/09/2017 23:02

Oh god, it's so ridiculous but here I am analysing it. Why?

I'd totally fuck Simon into next week, yet I also think he's horrible. Why?

Gemma said she hadn't brushed her teeth but then she snogged/fucked the teacher anyway in her sweaty last night's underwear. Why?

My mind is boggling.

The only sane thing is the teacher...if he's not been put up to it?!

LoveDeathPrizes · 12/09/2017 23:03

I don't think that baby is Simon's. I've been wondering since the first series why they crowbarred in a like about her sleeping around (Kate)

MorrisZapp · 12/09/2017 23:04

If Griff Rhys Jones and Rolf Harris had a love child...

But I'm also convinced Suranne Jones is Maureen Lipman's sister

LoveDeathPrizes · 12/09/2017 23:04

Yeah I must admit wine I don't get why he's so into her either. There's a lot against that relationship...

LoveDeathPrizes · 12/09/2017 23:05

I agree about Simon. There's little ambiguity to his character now. He's a real villain - he's gone a bit Trunchbull.

LoveDeathPrizes · 12/09/2017 23:11

I think Simon is very beautiful. But then I thought that when he was dressed as a 6 foot matriarch too.

Am I looking into this a bit much - was Anna a bit weird with Tom in first episode? She seemed really over familiar.

Mammysin · 12/09/2017 23:11

I hate Simon but I love him, yannow? Such a bastard ! ..

PhelanGood · 12/09/2017 23:13

Poster above has given me an idea of what's in the gift box from last week...

... Could it be evidence that Simon's only able to father boys - ie he only carries Y chromosomes, or something.... Meaning he can't be the new daughter's father?!

LoveDeathPrizes · 12/09/2017 23:15

Oh yeah I forgot about the present. Gemma took bloods at that initial pregnancy appointment of Kate's...

stonecircle · 12/09/2017 23:26

I don't think if the present proved anything damaging that she'd be able to keep quiet about it. She has zero self control. She already blurted out about seeing the new wife with another man when she was watching the house. No revenge served cold for her!
