Just love this series.

Had a little lump in my throat when head girl told her mum she loved her.

Mrskeats · 28/09/2017 22:06

The candidates in the debate did well I thought

TansyVioletta · 28/09/2017 22:41

I'm watching it now. I was thinking "Chelsea looks like Miss Shanks" and then Miss Shanks said "I look at Chelsea and i think, Gosh, you remind me so much of myself" Grin

This series seems a bit more balanced than previous series as they aren't just concentrating on the most disruptive students week in week out for the drama.

Zhx3 · 28/09/2017 22:47

Loved tonight's episode. What amazing children they were focusing on. Full of drive and positivity.

TansyVioletta · 28/09/2017 23:03

Love Chelci's grandad saying "They can't all be wrong." about all the different teachers praising her. Smile

TansyVioletta · 29/09/2017 00:00

Rebecca was kind to Chelci about pipping her to the post. Although Chelci and Josh didn't win they've done brilliantly in their work in the community. (Josh elected as member of Youth Parliament and Chelci getting Rotary Club award for services to the community

TansyVioletta · 29/09/2017 00:05

Next week should be interesting with the Great Trainer Rebellion!

MiniCooperLover · 29/09/2017 10:41

I found Leon highly irritating but at least he admitted himself he can be over confident. I thought it very telling that Rebecca congratulated him for becoming Head Boy and he just said thanks but didn't congratulate her for doing similar!

Keel · 29/09/2017 11:01

Yes I thought that too MiniCooperLover. I was glad Rebecca won Head Girl.

Keel · 29/09/2017 11:07

The Head, Mr Povey, looks a dead ringer for Gareth Southgate

Mrskeats · 29/09/2017 11:15

That's who it is keel
Been wracking my brain for who he reminded me off. Thanks Grin

Keel · 29/09/2017 19:56

He's his double isn't he Mrs Keats? 😆

TheSecondOfHerName · 29/09/2017 20:01

I was very impressed by Rebecca; I think she'll go far.

MiniCooperLover · 06/10/2017 12:26

I love Miss Bland! I hope every school has a Miss Bland 👍

TheSecondOfHerName · 06/10/2017 16:08

She was very good. When she was talking to those girls, there must have been something in my eyes, as they were watering quite a bit.

ToffeeCaramel · 06/10/2017 16:15

Looking forward to catching up with this

ASauvignonADay · 06/10/2017 19:36

Miss Bland is great!

Papergirl1968 · 06/10/2017 21:49

Quietly impressed by the long haired lad, Tom. I wanted to tell him that lots of us feel misfits at school - square peg in a round hole - but that at college or work we find our place.
It always strikes me how nurturing secondary schools are these days, with teachers and support staff helping boost confidence, counsel, guide, resolve arguments, and generally go the extra mile. And as a parent of two adopted dds who struggle at school, it's definitely not just the schools in this series which do this. So different to my schooldays when it was sink or swim.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 06/10/2017 23:10

I agree there's loads of support for the kids these days,it's lovely.

While it worked sitting round the table with Caprice facing the girls that bullied her,it could have backfired completely, I think she was lucky it went the way it did tbh.

I really don't like the female black haired member of support staff who was dealing with the girl with eyebrows posting on line. Every week her manner makes me cringe, she's so accusatory in her manner and body language.

Tom did brilliantlySmile

NoCryLilSoftSoft · 06/10/2017 23:24

Mrs bland is fab! She reminds me of Julie Walters. She did a lovely job with those girls and I could almost feel her own pain when she mentioned that she was bullied too. You could see she really felt what that girl was going through.

Ahh poor Tom. Is it just me that thought he looked totally exhausted? Big purple bags under his eyes. Probably anxiety keeping him awake. I thought he did a very good job of describing how anxiety feels. So glad he got to do his drums on stage.

ToffeeCaramel · 06/10/2017 23:49

Agree re support in schools being better and Mrs Bland being brill.
I liked it when people were walking into the concert and the guy in charge of behaviour asked if some girls were from their school and the Head said "They are nice kids, you wouldn't know them."

ToffeeCaramel · 06/10/2017 23:59

Or "Yes. They are nice kids, you wouldn't know them."

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 07/10/2017 08:38

My teen ds and I were watching together and I mentioned Tom looked shattered and he said "it's hard being a teenager mum."

Sad
2014newme · 07/10/2017 08:44

Mrs bland reminds me of julie walters too.
Kerry, the one that picks up the girls in her car, has the loudest voice ever.
All the children seem to have troubled home lives. What a challenge for the teachers.
Leon will go far

6isthemagicnumber · 12/10/2017 21:44

Anyone watching tonight?

am i the only one who'd be pissed off if i was 'Tia's mum'?
poor girl having the naughty kid put next to her....because she's good Hmm
