True. Would you make a casserole at all unless the kids were supposed to be home earlier and it was the last meal she cooked. I don't suppose that is out of the question.

But yes it sounded too slick and is it the ONLY pub she has an invested interest in? Surely development companies or whatever they are have loads of properties? Or even chicken shops lol. I still laugh to myself that Lauren got a promotion in her first week for her insightfulbess about chicken shops. How all those other qualified, experienced market researchers in the office must hate Lauren!

Wouldn't have been surprised if Mick had offered her the famous pink robe and a hot toddy as she puts her feet up on their bed. Can't believe I missed the beginning of Inception to catch up with EE. The plot of Inception was a lot easier to follow and less complex.

I have to add that I was glad to see Donna had some great comedy lines (out loud and muttering to the distance!) this evening.
I like her and her character and feel she's underused.

Fi and Clark Kent. (Siblings?/ lovers?)
Fi and the casserole cooking mum. (All I kept thinking of was Jean and her sausage surprise!)
The baby monitor that time forgot! (In the 4 seconds they took to get upstairs after hearing Louie on it!)

And why is Grandad Bert involved?? How is Phil bribing the Grandad?

I'm still interested to know Linda's secret. Assume Whoody both know that Elaine is totally ok in Watford? So why has there been no furtive conversations about Elaine and Linda's big secret? Could Fi be Linda's sister? I honestly have no idea where all these Inception-like storylines are going!

Re Inception, I'm still hoping the last year will erased a la Dallas (shower, Bobby), seeing that we already have the Dynasty-like maze that Theycalledme mentioned – but what if it's a dream within a dream within a dream? That would actually make more sense. The casserole gets its own level...

It's a shame bake-off has moved to c4 as I was thinking they could have an eastenders themed signature dish round, Jeans sausage surprise, Bianca's chicken nuggets and chips, Dots Victoria sponge, Shirl's roast lamb and now Fi's mum's casserole and who could forget (Stacey's brother) Kyles duck a la banana? Lots of characters have their own dish, I think Ev used to have something too can't remember what it was though ......

Something that occurred to me about Abi and Steven - she knows he wants to have custody of Louis and talks about "our own little family", but I don't think I've ever seen her take an interest in her nephew.
