I very much doubt that the writers' know what years are which themselves and some of the kids playing the parts are older than the characters too, just to confuse matters.
The prom is very late for them too, they are all over around here and they all break up tomorrow.

I can't work out why they are still at school. DS2 has been off for weeks and he sat one of the last GCSE exams.

Yes, year 11s usually leave mid June time , come in to finish GCSE's or A levels ( if its a sixth form) and then are off till september. all the exams are usually over before the end of june.

Can we please stop the speculation about how old the bloody kids are? WGAF? The whole storyline is boring beyond belief.

No, don't worry, I would like to know what subject to talk about as the whole thing is bonkers! Spaniel brain tumours, Linda's cliff hanger mystery still hanging and never mentioned again, Lucky's secret life as Dave the Cat, Max's evil plans... it's all ridiculous.

The age and school attendance of the teens is perhaps the easiest thing to get to grips with.

Speaking of Dave/Lucky the cat, I do hope the newbies don't try getting him back from Dot. She'd be lost without her fluffy companion and I love the conversations she has with him

I think Dave is safe as far as James Herriot is concerned. He seemed to be sympathetic about how much Dot loves the cat he saw her when she came home from hospital. He is going to get caught in the middle of a battle between his wife and Dot. What are this couple's actual names anyway? I can't remember!

what is the point of Ted and Jean ( or whatever she is called) anyway? so far he has revealed a secret gun, for no reason, and has a part time job as potman with patrick. all she has done is moan and wear dubious looking cardigans.
maybe there are bigger things planned for them. not that i saw any mention of them next week in my trusty tv guide..

I don't mind new families coming in, it needs new blood, however pointless they currently seem to be. Ted and Jean (lets go with those names) replace Les and Pam, Karen plus brood replace the Jacksons? The Teens do add realism (loosely speaking!) insofar as there should be teenagers about.

Ted and his gun seem to have gone the way of Linda's cliffhanger. Unless Lucky was a member of the local Cat Mafia and the gun is actually his. He is currently living with a new identity under the witness protection scheme.

I forgot the cat non story was still going on. Nothing more about Ben and Jay spending on the credit card. Did they buy new stock for Donna. In one episode they were ever so hilarious and put what looked like new stock on her chair. Presumably that was brought on the stolen credit card and will be traced back to her. Or probably not. I used think I zoned out a lot these days but now realise there is no point trying to piece together the smaller stories as they make so little sense or difference overall. So much for SOC's 'realism'. It is like picking up other people's shopping lists and reading them. Vaguely time passing but who really cares.

It's sad that we are reduced to talking about non-existent story-lines and cliffhangers that don't lead anywhere.
What I want is answers to the BIG questions - ie does Mad Max wax his head? How can Carmel afford so many pastel-coloured leather jackets? Don't Baby Pearl's Minnie Mouse-ears bunches hurt her scalp? When the hell is Linda coming back and WTF is going on with her and Elaine?
If things get any worse am going to migrate to the Emmerdale thread (is there one?).

Jay and Ben put bubble wrap around Donna's chair - she remarked they were wasting it as they needed it to use for the parcels to send all the stuff back that they bought on the dodgy credit card.
I guess that Carmel gets a discount from Kush for the clothes - 'mates/ son rates ' and all that.
Linda and Elaine was 'just a dream ' or something that 14 year olds usually write when they run out of ideas for a story. The writer they have now has forgotten that happened.
I think that Max buys products out of 'lush' as that strikes me as a hipster type place he would now frequent.
I think there may be an Emmerdale thread as there is a Corrie one.

ps, dont know about the bunches on Pearl - poor child always looks uncomfortable anyway all dressed up!

Just caught up with about 3 weeks worth of EE. There's 400 hours of my life I won't get back. Half way through each episode I kept stopping because they all felt like hour long "specials"
