Am I the only one who wants Mick to end up with Whitney? Blush

The80sweregreat · 15/08/2017 20:00

No, messy, Linda is being unreasonable.

The80sweregreat · 15/08/2017 20:03

What i meant was, i agree with you!

DearMrDilkington · 15/08/2017 20:09

Slight over reaction from Ben tonight..Hmm

Penguin27 · 15/08/2017 20:10

I think it's a bit ridiculous that Linda has re-hired Whitney, that just wouldn't happen! She's BVU about the whole thing, especially as she's got a secret of her own... But I liked her putting Fi in her place and bringing Tracey back.

Ben is an ungrateful drama queen!

On one hand I hate Max for being so evil to Carmel, but I hate Steven more so I like Max being evil to him. Conflicted feelings!

dingdongdigeridoo · 15/08/2017 20:34

Bloody Vic and the ongoing staffing saga. Hire staff, fire staff, hire them back. I've never known a business with five employees to need an entire HR department.

Akire · 15/08/2017 20:37

Yes could be carer but then you can only earn £100 odd a week without them taking carers off you so she be no better off to lose that. No mention of Ian saying I can only work 10h etc. Unless v slow story.

Plus her son didn't want to live like her so implies it's a choice to be on benefits, and you woulnt say that if their care needs we such that she couldn't work at all.

Akire · 15/08/2017 20:38

So now have
Mik
Linda
Whitney
Sausage
Tina
Stacey and
Tracey!

The80sweregreat · 15/08/2017 20:38

I might start working there! That would be funny..
They will be hiring mr price at this rate!

youarenotkiddingme · 15/08/2017 20:41

Carmel is about as subtle as a neon flashing light isn't she?

Akire · 15/08/2017 20:53

Was it just me that didn't get Carmel hiding under blanket on sofa when son walked in trying on swim suit? Different if underwear but she's going wear it front hundreds of people but her adult son, no?

Can't fathom why whit would want to come back to work?? She can't stay there? So communting from Watford where Linda failed? Woody must worked loads bars/know about jobs. Just total unrealistic

Akire · 15/08/2017 20:54

I am glad Mr Price has moved in though, is he supposed to be 25?35?? Who can he hook up with?

The80sweregreat · 15/08/2017 21:05

Whit is living with stacey i thought.
Where will woody live when he rocks up i wonder!

The80sweregreat · 15/08/2017 21:06

I have a feeling mr price is right will start going out with super son!

youarenotkiddingme · 15/08/2017 21:21

Someone suggested he'd become a regular and get it on with SS earlier - I never cease to be impressed by the predictions made here!

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 15/08/2017 23:19

Carnal irritates the shit out of me but I feel really sorry for her. Fi and Max are eeeevil.

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 15/08/2017 23:20

Carnal? Darn you autocorrect. Carmel.

Akire · 15/08/2017 23:21

Who is Fi anyway? At first we though she was connected to Mr Big but it's not clear and her max seem to be in relationship. Albeit I very strange one. How is she related to Clark Kent? To many baddies around!

Venella · 15/08/2017 23:59

Who is Fi anyway? indeed. Hanging out at the Vic at all hours like a bad smell, meddling with Minda's/Lick's marriage (v v inappropriate and unprofessional) and inviting herself upstairs.

Only noticed today that she's not a particularly good actress.

I laughed out loud at Shaki's one liner during the uncomfortable 'family' dinner.
Koush: "Max, what do you like doing?
Shaki: "Our mum."

Phil was all red and sweaty. More than usual.

CorporalNobbyNobbs · 16/08/2017 00:09

I was driven mad tonight. They all go on about Jay 'he's my bruvver' 'he's a mitchell' then the minute he gets treated like one of the faaaaamily they all go mental! Aaaagh.

Akire · 16/08/2017 00:17

She's around far to much hours there everyday, it dosnt make sense. Why was shell making out Sharon is loaded? When did that happen? She was working in the Vic!

Confused as to what Phil as left to all sprogs so far. Where is Cathy going to live? Though she works full time so surely can rent a flat.

Wonder if Kim will
Be going first class or in limo on holiday and the rest will be slumming it. They been making a lot out of it hope we go on location.

DameSquashalot · 16/08/2017 00:59

Maybe Phil feels responsible for the death of Jay's dad in some way. Just something about the way he said he had to leave J the money...

tobee · 16/08/2017 01:30

Phil was all ready and sweaty. More than usual. GrinGrinGrinGrin
There were also disgusting noises when they were eating. Thank god it didn't last long.

I laughed long and loud when Sonia told Mr Price that most of the people were nice in the area. Apart from all the murderers, wife beaters, adulterers, drunks, drug users, mobsters, thieves, etc etc etc.

BillyDaveysDaughter · 16/08/2017 08:19

Yikes we need a new thread.

My DH, not given to outward displays of humour, absolutely hooted at Shaki when he said Max liked doing "our mum".

Ugh, Max and Carmel are cringeworthy, but mainly because he is a heinous liar and she is such a drip she'll be utterly broken when it all comes out.

Totally agree with pp's about the Mick/Whit/Linda love triangle. So far away from the original characters, I feel cheated!

Ben didn't "overreact" - the actor, gawd luv 'im, OVER-ACTS! Fair play to him, I think he has improved (I snorted at the throwaway "get to work ya melt" to Jay last night), but moments of high drama when he has to be angry and cry, are terrible. All that pronounced juvenile stomping and shouting! Awful! Grin But so many new characters where the acting was questionable to begin with, either ended up being or are becoming really good - Lucy, new Martin, Shakil, quite a few had an iffy start but are really good now.

On the other hand, Sausage and Lauren seem to have gone the other way? Jacqueline Jossa was a fab actor before her first pregnancy, but I sense that she's not really not feeling this storyline. Absolutely no chemistry between her and her two love interests, she seems wooden and unhappy with the whole thing. Sad I hope she tells EE to fuck off and goes and gets herself a dramatic role somewhere.

As for Mr Price, his delivery is uncomfortable to watch. Hope that improves with time. I was convinced he'd be gay, but he speaks of an ex-gf. Wonder what dreadful secret he is hiding?

The80sweregreat · 16/08/2017 09:07

Mr price is right is bound to have a skeleton in the cupboard - or he will have a crush on Bex and get the sack - end up working in the vic.

Akire, you forgot to mention Ted and Patrick on your list of people working in the pub - however, i've not seen either of them pick up a glass yet or have any story lines.
I hate Ben when he starts shouting - trying to out act Phil is never a good move.
Does Carmel do any work now - throwing dinner parties in the week take time! agree, once Max reveals that he doesnt love her at all, she will be inconsolable.
Where have all the children gone too? a glimpse of Ollie last week, no sign of him anywhere or anyone around making sure his ok. he could be down stairs playing with the barrels for all they care. He had possible brain damage last year.
Fi - would a bar manager ( or whatever they are called when the freehold is sold on to another company) be there all the time hanging around?
It was good how Chelle talked some sense into Sharon about Jay - i suppose Sharon has money from when her dad died twice, when Dennis died, from having shares in the vic or albert before or money from her divorce from Grant , something like that. She has always come across as loaded.
i like Jay though.
