Did we ever find out how much they got for the freehold? It must have been quite a bit in that area. I got the impression they were managing to pay for the dog's op, Leak's debts and have a bit left over I may not have been paying attention

I suppose we are to think that the freehold money just went on all the things that needed doing - dog ops , new roof, Leek's many debts , sylvia's funeral etc etc. The dog hasnt been around much since though. probably off playing with the invisible children on the square.

I dont know about all this - in real life you would go and visit your spouse and child ( watford isnt miles away) then you would smell a rat pretty quickly i would have thought.
I suppose the writers just did what they could with Kellie's mat leave and tried to make it as realistic as they could - sometimes the actors dont return or come back with new heads, or just go abroad, so thats a bit easier to explain away (Grant in portugal, phil in Italy, Lauren in NZ etc etc etc) i suppose they could have said that linda has gone to live with Nancy and Tam abroad with Ollie. anyway, i still think its to do with Weyland and we wont know anything for a while. Kush will ahve to be written out to do strictly too.

I don't think writing Kush out will be an issue, I won't miss him tbh he's quite boring.

And Richard Blackwood is a good actor so not sure what that's about. I suppose in rl some people have little drama. Or he's a sleeper, a quiet background character they can spruce up if/when needed.

a few speculations might be in order: i still believe its all to do with Wayland, max and fiona.

Could it be that Max visited L in Watford to persuade her to sign over the freehold and discovered Elaine wasn't actually that ill or even ill? So he has that hold over her and she agreed for his silence?

Ohhhhh good thinking! I forgot all about max! My bad. At first I thought maybe woody and linda were working with max. Then I thought maybe linda and woody wanna fuck Whitney over (linda didn't like her and deffo didn't after she warned her off when she was still with lee) so maybe the whole being engaged thing was part of that plan. Then I thought linda may have went away to have a secret abortion. Now I'm not sure what to think, all I know is whatever the secret is, I want it to come out soon!!! I wish my hair, which is not as long as Twitney's dried so quickly! And do they all go to bed with a face full of slap on in Walford? I don't know what the 'ell is wrong with L, I am very concerned about her clothes...was it a skirt? culottes? and it was very ill fitting. Mick should divorce her immediately for whatever it, they, were.

It makes me laugh how people disappear off to places like Watford. It's on the tube. You could go to a meeting with carers and be back the same afternoon.

i liked the Carters at first - DD wasnt that bad, linda was feisty and funny they seemed a solid couple ( they kept saying it) and the children were happy. Shirley even survived telling Mick the truth and he started calling her Mum.
3 years on and its all gone pear shaped. Only sausage seems remotely happy (ish) and lady Di survived her operation. The rest hasnt been great.

In my opinion Linda is being a bit short-sighted about this whole Twitney thing. At least Mick confessed - something MNers usually advise wrong-doers to do - and it was only a kiss or two.
Linda kept quiet about the rape and she conspired to sell the freehold without consulting Mick. She now seems to be harbouring another Big Secret. So, pots and kettles. Mick is an emotional illiterate so she should make allowances . And she really needs to stop calling her 20something son 'Sausage.' It's beginning to sound pervy.
If she brought this to AIBU or Relationships on here, I wonder what the consensus of advice would be. Any suggestions?
By the way, I think Twitney got what she deserved and Linda delivered a few home truths for a change.

In the Mock/Twitney fiasco Twitneys has been the instigator, in real life L would have dragged her out of the pub by her badly dyed hair

I think Linda knows something about Lee. She mentioned that he was happy or 'will be' happy but the Lee drama went on while she was away and I thought Lee's army friend came to tell Whitney that Lee is now engaged to someone else? Not sure why that would be such a big secret unless Lee is in care somewhere getting treatment and is desperate for Mick not to find out in case he thinks he isn't being 'manly'.

Linda doesn't seem to know that Lee hit Whitney though.

to be fair to the Mockney one, he did confess - they didnt sleep together and it was only a kiss.
I know that Linda has had words with her last year about coming on to him, so i can see why she is upset, but she must know that he loves her and it was a moment of madness etc etc , plus he was so good when he found out about the rape and didn't, for one second, even think she was complicit in that at all ( as other men may have thought at first) I am not sure what they would say on here to an AIBU thread - trouble is, linda would write it and it would be from her pov, so i would imagine LTB would be the overall feeling - most people dont believe others when they say ' it was a kiss' anyway! they always believe theres more to it. Whitney is also in the wrong here too. Oh well, someone will find out L's big secret soon i bet. My hunch is either Twitters or Shirley - both will have an axe to grind about her treatment of Mock.
