Those episodes were quite an anti climax, weren't they? I'm not sure how lou managed to walk to the ambulance after passing out from the pain a few seconds earlier. Hmm

Akire · 03/08/2017 21:14

Yes anti climax totally. Is oldest Taylor only supposed to be 18?? Berry is 16? And next son 17??

Whit still had feelings for Mik why would she come back? Even if she's over it he's not going too. Why would you then spend a noisey night in bed knowing everyone can hear?? Ewww. Why would Mik need to get on with woody? He's a bar manager so he be off to next job then woulnt he? Not staying where Whitney works for min wage for few hours a day. Just why?!

Thought Mik was going fall off roof!

DearMrDilkington · 03/08/2017 21:15

Why is Whitney back, in fact why are the carter's still in it at all! Easily the worst family to have ever owned the vic.

Sausage & mock can't act, Shirley now sits around with a face on and Linda has run away with the fairies. Even Tina is irritating the hell out of me. I have an awful feeling that leek will return now twitney has came back.

Rant over... for now

The80sweregreat · 03/08/2017 21:16

Twitney came back as she cant leave it alone.
I hope L sorts her out.
Someone needs to.
Mock is so weak.

nancy75 · 03/08/2017 21:16

Twitney couldn't wait to move out of the Vic when she was with lee, that's how he got in so much debt

southeastdweller · 03/08/2017 21:19

The drilling is annoying. How can they film with that going on?

80s they add the noise later, like they do with music.

The80sweregreat · 03/08/2017 21:22

South, i guess so. It is annoying!

nancy75 · 03/08/2017 21:30

Maybe the drilling could cause a massive gas explosion, blow the whole square up & put us out of our misery

MyBeloved · 03/08/2017 21:32

I reckon this is leading to twitters and wooders taking over from mick the prick at the vic.

The80sweregreat · 03/08/2017 21:35

Even if they blew them up, mick would survive i bet.

sidesplittinglol · 03/08/2017 21:44

2 episodes tonight ... about to catch up

youarenotkiddingme · 03/08/2017 21:58

I won't say what 2 characters it was Blondes will kill me!

I'm impressed everyone has guessed the hotel and Bex and kidnapping storyline.

For once I actually liked what Twitney was wearing.

The80sweregreat · 03/08/2017 22:05

Poor louise though.
Her dads a bully, her mum needs help.
Shes had a terrible thing happen to her, now this.
She will be in therapy herself soon!

DameSquashalot · 03/08/2017 22:12

I was thinking the same.

Twitters looked AWFUL tonight.

Thanks EE for the PSA about mental health.

It was annoying that Louise didn't run for it

Max was funny tonight with Steven

Robbie is a bellend

No t sure what else to say...

NoisyBrain · 03/08/2017 22:25

Was it just me irritated by the dayglo Public Service Announcement about mental health issues courtesy of Sharon?

Nothing wrong with Sharon telling Phil to go easy on Lisa because she's mentally ill, but the whole "She's got a diagnosis Phil" conversation in the car felt over-long, like they were piling it on with a shovel again in case we poor, stupid viewers didn't quite get the point. Which is a shame, because I thought Lucy Benjamin's acting was great.

NoisyBrain · 03/08/2017 22:26

Oops X-post Dame Grin

DameSquashalot · 03/08/2017 22:49

They really laid it on thick tonight

Akire · 03/08/2017 23:50

What's wrong with Lisa? Acting like they aware of issues but didn't know exactly what then Becks hinted she knew because did it in school. But no one actual said.

Thought Louise moved in with dad because Lisa had new man? Strange all of sudden to get a back story.

Wonder how long before Mik realised he's well and truely dumped? Though if woody who was running Linda's mum bar can move in his pub. Then he can run theirs.

Theycalledmethewildrose · 04/08/2017 01:17

I haven't watched it but caught up here instead (its usually better that way). When Louise originally went to live with Phil, it was because Lisa threw her out because Louise was too much to cope with, and Lisa had had enough of her and felt it was fair if Phil got to put up with her instead!. I still remember drunk Phil going into the gym hall with a big bag of cash! It was a funny scene.

spiderslight · 04/08/2017 01:43

Twitney's hair was massive at the beginning of the episode!

Favourite quote tonight from Phil on being asked for a photo of Louise "I'm not a photo on a phone sort of person" Grin Well, I thought it was funny.

Pah to the PSA!

Bad advice from Twitney to Lauren I thought about staying with Steven. Would people really suggest somebody marry a person they don't love, and feel suffocated by, because they're going to be dead soon and it will make them happy? Hmm

BadHairDay0 · 04/08/2017 07:12

Totally Noisy! Me too!

Loved Max's smile when he was enjoying himself winding Steven up. Loved shouty Phil. Lucy Benjamin was brilliant. Loved Sharon's shoes! I thought her bat-cape might make another appearance.

MrsBotox · 04/08/2017 07:53

When I was a pup Canvey was our holiday destination of choice necessity. Mum's sister lived in the Dutch Village and we spent the school hols at the beach and in the amusement arcade on the Mouse roller coaster. I think it's a giant oil refinery now with an 8ft sea wall all round it.
Why the hell is Whitless given so much air time? As she so resembles a mad drag queen perhaps it's part of the Beeb's gay/trans/etc week?

youarenotkiddingme · 04/08/2017 08:18

I missed what Bex said. Did she actually say what Lisa had a diagnosis of or just Lou had told her her mum had MH problems?

The80sweregreat · 04/08/2017 08:51

spider, i too had a chuckle at Phil;s ' i'm not a photo on a phone type of bloke' - classic line .- i will always have a soft spot for him.

Mrs b, canvey has changed a lot. The oil refinery was always a bone of contention for the residents of southend too ( in case it blew up!)
my dad is 95 and can remember when you could only get to the island on a boat! Its now full of houses and a big morrisons - and two roads in and out. I must admit, that anyone who lives there do love it - they rarely move away and there is a sense of community ( so i;ve been told) Essex is an odd county. ( born and bred in essex!)

Venella · 04/08/2017 08:52

I think Lisa's unravelling was too much too soon, like someone mentioned up thread,. And I found the scenes in the hotel very trying (in fact, I was catching up on this thread in the meantime) – but Phil being Phil and banging on doors and shouting at hotel staff and the maid that ignored him made up for it!

The two blokes Whitney loves the most in the world are Mick, her ex-FIL, and Woody, who's been around for two minutes? Whit, babes, do you remember Ryan, your brother?

I laughed out loud at her speech why she needs to live in the Vic because it's her home. Erm, how exactly?

I thought it was odd that it was mentioned she doesn't know Woody's real name. Are we meant to ask "What else don't you know about him?" Even Doctor Who's wife knows his real name!
If she's involved in a plot, she's only a pawn, not a player.

DH's comment on the Taylors, when Keanu was getting rueful about the bench: "pffff, they're not real chavs at all, are they."
