Thought power of autory only came into effect when you could no longer manage? So you do paperwork then at some future point when you are unable they take over. It's very strange two capable retired people would hand over every aspect of their lives from gas bill to rent to consent to medical treatment.

How would Sonia even know a good gas bill rate? Mine is baffrrling it certainly didn't say I'm paying 10x the odds. If she know had two lodgers paying her going rate, she can afford any gas bill!
