Yes before this thread I'd have guessed an A/A* equalled a 1. Grin

troodiedoo · 09/05/2017 21:57

Will kush buy back the D for her? Wink

The80sweregreat · 09/05/2017 21:58

She was alright Denise, now she is going around hitting folk i do not like her at all.
Just tell Kim the real problem. She can help.

EnidButton · 09/05/2017 21:58

Will Kush give Dee the D?

The80sweregreat · 09/05/2017 22:02

I hope Kush gives Dee the push!
5 indeed.

EnidButton · 09/05/2017 22:03

Shock Nooo! I love D and Kush.

EnidButton · 09/05/2017 22:03

D meaning Denise there.Blush

iknowimcoming · 09/05/2017 22:04

I believe that a 9 technically equates to an A star star iyswim as its so they can award higher than an A star where applicable, hence the 9 being the higher grade, its apparently possible for them to award a 10 in exceptional circumstances (although not sure if that's immediate or in the future). So if you get a 9 it's technically a better grade than an A star (yes, I do have a child who sat the old system and one who is about to take the new system so there is no competition there no, no, everything is tranquil when it comes to exam results here Hmm)

Anyhoo, I can't believe none of you have mentioned the hugely exciting storyline of Abby being disgruntled with her housemates over her having to do all the housework Confused

The80sweregreat · 09/05/2017 22:04

Enid, she isnt what she once was ..
Rocky Dee. They will make films about her one day.

The80sweregreat · 09/05/2017 22:06

Ŷoghurt gate.. Another low

youarenotkiddingme · 09/05/2017 22:17

I wanna know what Max bought for Abby!

AGnu · 09/05/2017 22:23

For a second I totally thought Denise would/had hit Carmel with the saucepan!

I'm guessing Denise will miss the exam because she can't afford the tube/bus fare to get there.

Akire · 09/05/2017 22:24

Donna kept her flat v tidy plus with chair you have to you can't jump over crap on the floor! Why would Donna suddenly stopping food?

SpanishFly · 09/05/2017 22:28

What is Charlie's accent meant to be? ?

spiderslight · 09/05/2017 22:39

Charlie sounds like he has a mouthful of marbles. As to accent, no idea!

EnidButton · 09/05/2017 23:00

Denise used to hit Patrick didn't she? When he had his stroke and she was supposed to be caring for him?

That all got a bit glossed over.

tobee · 09/05/2017 23:05

Just catching up on your sterling work on this thread everyone. Miles more entertaining than current EE storylines.

For what it's worth (bit late with this) but I thought pound shops and nail bars were the sign of a depressed neighbourhood not charity shops and chicken shops?

Sadly, I can't see Eastenders storylines massively improving any time soon. Its got so I can't imagine what they'd do or remember what they used to do. It's like a different programme. But I can't help hoping!

spiderslight · 09/05/2017 23:18

I've never been able to warm to Denise again after hurting Patrick.

Theycalledmethewildrose · 10/05/2017 02:26

That is what I thinking as well Spider. DENISE won't be fit enough to do the GCSE and will fail and sink into depression cause she feels like a laughing stock or will resist and the bloody thing will rattle on for years!

Theycalledmethewildrose · 10/05/2017 02:29
  • re sit not resist!
Theycalledmethewildrose · 10/05/2017 02:31

Oh and my guess is Abi's gift is a blackboard so she can write out a housekeeping rota and/or food storage boxes with locks for her side of the fridge!

Youvegotafriendinme · 10/05/2017 03:33

Tonight's episode annoyed me so much, I'm wondering why I still bother watching it!

The camera angles were ridiculous for starters. if she had gone to a jewellery shop or pawn brokers she would have got lots more, surely even she knows that. I don't see how she has gone from ok to that desperate in a week. If she went Tesco or ASDA she could have bought a lot more for a £5.
Feel like it's becoming the Dee show. Angry

The80sweregreat · 10/05/2017 06:44

Charlie's accent is very 'fluid'. He is a bit of eye candy so i can forgive.
If you were in the dire straits that Denise is in surely you would go to your rich relatives for a bail out, a small loan for a while whilst you sorted out your benefits, to get you to the centre to do the exam? if it means that much to her you just would. The new place where she is doing the exams now cant be that far away and an oyster card for a week wouldnt be that much for Kim to pay out for? A better story would have been Dee being made redundant from the mini mart, going to sign on and being sanctioned for being late for one of the interviews ( as happens to people) because the bus was late or something. Then having money worries etc etc. I would have a bit more sympathy i think - as it is, she walked out of her job, she didnt want the cleaning one and is now being silly and starving herself by not asking for a bit of help. Its all very well doing social issues, but try to make them a bit more realistic.

Optimist1 · 10/05/2017 07:26

My guess is that Abbi's gift is one of those Dymo label makers so she can label everything that's hers in the fridge.

youarenotkiddingme · 10/05/2017 07:40

Thing is with Dee going to Asda etc is she'd have to use half the money at least I would think in travel.
When I was on bare bones of my arse I could walk to Aldi - but that wasn't easy when I'd not had breakfast and sometimes it had a proper meal the night before. A mile walk is hard when your blood sugar is so low.
So in that respect I think they are doing well to show that it's basics value stuff from nearest accessible outlet - and that outlet is probably not the cheapest!
