I'm confused about the dynamics in Ros and Nick's relationship. Is she abusive to him? Is he scared of her? Do they really even love each other? Or is it something besides love? If she lied to him and is having an affair why is he still so willing to lie to the police about her and end up incriminating himself and also risking his career? Why does she act so nonchalant about her betrayal and affair when she comes home the next night?
They're both a bit weird.

pepperpot99 · 17/04/2017 07:47

I still don't think that Roz necessarily killed Ifield. With those injuries and also lying prone on the ground how would she be able to? a third party must have been involved, but it's driving me mad trying to work out who/how. Maybe Nick turned up - we know he followed her - and he killed Ifield . Roz had slipped back n to unconsciousness so didn't remember? sounds mad I know.

Are we supposed to believe there are three different balaclava men? one who killed the original women, one who killed Ifield (but Ifield was one of them wasn't her?) and one who attacked Arnott. I am getting v confused.

Gutted if Maneet is a spy.

Outstanding interview sequence in yesterday's episode, Thandie has balls of steel. I like the way she put Kate in her place! Jamie and Ted were pulverised weren't they?

Whatever happens I think Huntley (Roz) will get away with it as she's too damn clever.

cherrytree63 · 17/04/2017 07:47

I thought Roz switched her phone off before going to Tim's flat, would the tracker still work?

Loftyjen · 17/04/2017 07:53

@MrsMuddlepies - Kate's marriage broke down in the first series - hasn't been mentioned at all this series so can understand if new to LOD but if a "What...?!" moment

Tiredemma · 17/04/2017 07:55

I remember in Series 1 Kate was living out of her car etc.

DispatchReady · 17/04/2017 08:01

Well I was confused at the end as I thought it was the last episode so I was all What?!!! weird ending! Blush

The announcer set me straight! Grin

EachandEveryone · 17/04/2017 08:17

Was the lawyer the slimey consultant from Bodies?

DubiousCredentials · 17/04/2017 08:20

Yes he was Each.

insancerre · 17/04/2017 08:23

So Roz is playing Hilton by offering sex for favours
And then accuses Hastings of sexism?
At the same time she is abusing her husband
She has got it coming, I think

I was wondering that too Navy.

stonecircle · 17/04/2017 08:46

I think Buckles is the one brought in to take over from Roz when she was first being investigated. The one who knew Kate was undercover and was warned to keep quiet by Hastings.

makushla · 17/04/2017 08:47

Pepperpot
'.......sounds mad I know'

Well if Arnott can recover so quickly from his attack anything in LOD is plausible.

If the spurned ( by Roz) senior officer can meet Maneet so quickly after being turned down by Roz anything is plausible - was Maneet supposed to hang around outside in the cold while they 'dtd' ?

badhotfanny · 17/04/2017 08:49

But all the conversations between Ros and Nick about where she was/who was she shagging, and her telling him she was shagging someone else near Ifield's flat but not in it - how could you infer from that that Nick killed Ifield while Ros was watching? I don't understand.

How soon after Roz left did Hilton meet Maneet? He said he had a room booked so maybe there was a time lapse before he left the hotel?

BaggyCheeks · 17/04/2017 08:52

In those screenshots Balaclava Man definitely looks like Nick - look at the shape of his mouth.

But I'm so confused by it all. I don't know where Maneet fits into it, unless Hilton has asked her for information on Roz because he's pissed off that she played him.

That was an excellent programme last night and the interview was so unexpected. Roz is abusive to her husband and has obviously little respect for him. I wonder why? It could be that she is an abusive person or that she is covering up for him. She is certainly throwing Hastings and Hilton under a bus.

As for who Balaclava man is? It has be someone who knew Arnott was on his way to interview Mr Huntley, it can't have been Huntley even though he was missing from the office for 8 minutes, that would have had to be a very quick change and BM was seen in the alleyway sans baseball bat.

Maneet!!! Please be a double agent.

ILikeBeansWithKetchup · 17/04/2017 09:03

It isn't Nick _ they actually said they tested his hair and it had no traces of balaclava.

Surely, it'll just be a stuntman??

ILikeBeansWithKetchup · 17/04/2017 09:05

Also, the conversations Nick and Roz are having privately in her car really do suggest he is not lying about lots of things (puts him out of the frame for killing Ifield, I'd say)

He is lying to her about the phone though surely as it had to stay in the house ...

In the last series , lots of stuff people obsessed over weren't resolved!

Elendon · 17/04/2017 09:06

cherrytree Roz left her phone at home when she went to Ifield's flat. Her husband followed her because he thought she was having an affair, she told him she had a ONS and that it was over.

ILikeBeansWithKetchup · 17/04/2017 09:06

Jed M is a great writer but he often doesn't notice his own plot holes!!
Patrick Baladi won't be in this for just that small appearance either.

ILikeBeansWithKetchup · 17/04/2017 09:07

Yes, but Elendon - he told her he went after her with the phone??

ILikeBeansWithKetchup · 17/04/2017 09:09

He was missing for fifteen minutes.

But, as said, it can't be him...

Still think it's Hilton!

The fact that Nick's a corporate lawyer has to be relevant somehow?

PollyPerky · 17/04/2017 09:10

One hole in the plot so far is that Hastings should have terminated the questioning from Roz Huntley on the basis he could only be interviewed by a more senior officer (than himself.)

He looked very weak and the writer is taking liberties here...not following police protocol.
