I can't think it's a continuity error. Way too central and it is their job to get this stuff right. Give the production team some credit!

friskybivalves · 16/04/2017 23:11

Delurking to say I'm puzzled about the timing at the end. Roz's boss thought he was going to get jiggy with her in one of the upstairs room - until she unexpectedly gave him the bum's rush.

But next scene we see him leaving the hotel and going round the corner to meet Maneet. Why would he have arranged that Rendezvous if he thought he was going to be bedding Roz? Would have meant leaving a shivering pregnant detective in a nasty alleyway.

Loving the phone number mystery.

Misovexed · 16/04/2017 23:12

Of course it could be an error on part of a character.

wowfudge · 16/04/2017 23:12

Ooh - maybe. I think Nick is going to prove to be Ros's downfall.

carabos · 16/04/2017 23:13

The arm is going to figure in the denouement isn't it? There's a swab with her DNA on it that's going to come into play I reckon, otherwise why waste a couple of minutes on that scene in the doc's office?

Deux · 16/04/2017 23:14

Oh be still my peri-menopausal heart. Aside from the tension I'm finding Adrian Dunbar a little pulse racing. Does he know that he's had this effect on some mumsnetters?

I really wanted Kate to wallop Roz. Crikey I've got no idea how this will pan out just hoping Roz gets her comeuppance.

I'm now thinking that Roz didn't kill Ifield but was maybe present. Does everyone think Roz killed Ifield?

Oh and I loved Bodies too. I'd love to see it come back.

Deux · 16/04/2017 23:16

Maybe Hilton knew that Roz was going to bail. Maybe they're all double agents. Who's good, who's bad.

friskybivalves · 16/04/2017 23:18

I have thought that perhaps she didn't actually kill Ifield but didn't do anything to stop him being killed.

Missanneshirley · 16/04/2017 23:26

I'm clutching at straws here on maneet's behalf here but is there any way Hilton could be working WITH ac12 somehow?

I know it's very unlikely Sad

Ferrisday · 16/04/2017 23:40

Hilton is a very senior officer, if he asks Maneet for info she will give it to him. But she won't betray the team, she'll tell them.
He is an absolute wanker, fancy a senior officer like that being so easily manipulated

mrsmuddlepies · 16/04/2017 23:41

Rox accuses Kate of having a son she hardly sees. Is this common knowledge? Does he live with Kate? What is the story there?
Someone at ac12 must be feeding personal info to Huntley, who then passes it to Roz ( Maneet).

TizzyDongue · 16/04/2017 23:55

Not happy about Maneet!!! She CANNOT be dodgy. I won't allow it.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 17/04/2017 00:11

Considering Ted Hastings had a techy meeting with Hilton earlier on is it possible they are already investing him and the information Maneet is leakin is part of a double bluff?

ktel1 · 17/04/2017 00:13

I came across an image of balaclava man on another forum.

Of the potential suspects who do you think this resembles?

SinisterBumFacedCat · 17/04/2017 00:14

investigating ffs bloody phone. Was there anything that Ros knew that wasn't pretty obvious, apart from Kate's identity being blown, which they worked out themselves via child-detective Jodie.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 17/04/2017 00:16

That screenshot is definitely Nick Huntley, it's the eyes. But may not be Balaclava man.

TheElephantofSurprise · 17/04/2017 00:33

I am confused.
I was sure Roz was unconscious, so how could she have killed Ifield? However, he did scratch her so someone had to cut his fingers off to get rid of the dna and the most likely person to do that is Roz. Unless Balaclava Man Nick arrived, saved his wife and removed the evidence. But then how/where would she have woken up and why wouldn't she suspect Nick? Did she wake up to find Ifield dead, his fingers gone, then try to remove her own blood from the scene? There was blood under her head on the floor, not just on the unit. Too much blood. Was it hers? Where's the injury? She touched her head once, as if it was sore.
When Roz left her phone at home, Nick can't have taken it with him because it showed at their house all evening. But he told Roz he'd brought it when he followed her to Ifield's, to return it.
I have a memory of Nick opening a box (all those storage boxes in his old office) and finding a balaclava and jacket, but it must be false because I can't find it in the episodes! Also, Arnott's Balaclava Attacker had the wrong trousers and boots for Nick - there wasn't time to lace up boots while Arnott was in the lift. If the screenshot is Nick, he's a quick-change master.
Jamie is some kind of spy.

Ferrisday · 17/04/2017 00:44

The language used by nick was a bit strange
'He ended up falling down the stairs'
He didn't say, I threw him down stairs

ktel1 · 17/04/2017 00:53

Here's another snapshot

I think it looks more like Buckles than Huntley

Otherwise it could be someone we haven't seen yet

FeralBeryl · 17/04/2017 02:11

They haven't found the weapon used on Steve yet either.
He specifically mentioned it when looking at the bally man in the entry saying 'he doesn't have a bat and I thought it was a baseball bat' or something along those lines.
I'm going to have to rewatch the last episode as I was too highly strung to process everything.
I hated Ros for hitting her husband though.
I was quite warming towards the lying, scandalous bastard until then.

Wingedharpy · 17/04/2017 02:13

I'm confident that's not Lenny Henry😁

weaselwomble · 17/04/2017 03:20

Can somebody clarify something for me? In that interview scene they show her firstly a picture of Ifield at the diy store and then a picture of Steve's attacker in the alley. For both of these pictures both Ifield and Michael Farmer (Pharmer?) Are suggested as possible suspects. But a) at the DIY store Michael was already locked up and b) Ifield was already dead by the time of Steve's attack. Unless I have misunderstood? Sorry for any spelling/ grammar errors - it's late and I am reeling from that episode!

RNBrie · 17/04/2017 06:21

@weaselwomble that's the whole point. Balaclava man couldn't be Farmer as he's banged up which suggests Roz is wrong about Farmer and he's been framed. Hence why they are investigating her in the first place.

RNBrie · 17/04/2017 06:25

@TheElephantofSurprise Roz woke up... She opened her eyes just as Ifield brought down the chainsaw. It was a heart stopping moment as you were supposed to think she was dead hence the fact he was chopping her up to dispose of her.

I agree with you about the phone. It couldn't have been left at home like the evidence says as well as being in the car with Nick.

wowfudge · 17/04/2017 06:45

Did balaclava man go to Nick's office after Nick, but bump into Steve instead? Maybe there were two of them in balaclavas - one with a baseball bat and one unarmed?

I even looked at Danny's list from the last series looking for Jimmy Lakewell, but he's not there.

It did make me laugh when the continuity announcer said "you can breathe now" after last night's episode.
