Anyone eles exited for serise 10?

I'm sure at one point the Master said something about the future being female - meaning Missy. I took that as a possible clue to the next dr being female too.

There just seem to be loads of female references when before there were none that I remember. All can be taken purely in the context of the current story but I do suspect they have double meanings/are hints.

It might be coincidence of course.

@WhirlwindHugs. You can watch them all on dailymotion. I find frustrating that Netflix only has half of serise 7. Then jumps to 8. Then has the specials in the wrong order

too many sexual references and things in this modern docr Who.

wasn't like that in the classic ones.

I cant believe ive loved Nardole in the end. hope he comes back.

and despite the ''luke'' moment at the end, I hope they don't take away the original mysteriousness of the 1st doc, he and Jon P are my fave doctors.

Female Master worked really well, I don't think it was done as a pc box-ticking exercise. Don't see why a female doctor wouldn't work.

Is anyone else sceptical as to whether they'll actually manage to keep it secret until Christmas?

Here's hoping for Olivia Colman as the new Doctor then. She has just the right blend of reassuring presence and being slightly strange. (thinking back to her time in Peep Show and That Mitchell and Webb Look)

I think the BBC have already denied that the Doctor will be female, I'll try and find a link unless I dreamt it.
Personally I don't want a female Doctor next time, purely because I would love it to be Richard Ayoade!

I don't think it will be a woman. They have just been winding people up. I think of it were to be a woman they would do it out of the blue and early enough for all the fanboys to explode and burn all their DVD's. I agree with pp that Id prefer if they went with another ethnicity but still male first.

FunnyFarmer I've not heard of Daily Motion before. I went onto the site but can only find clips from series 9 and 10? Is it a subscription service to get full episodes? I can't work out how it works?

And I hope it IS just a wind up about a female Dr. I'm all for equality but after watching from behind the sofa age 5 I just couldn't get my head round a women Dr for some reason.

@Ramsbottomthesnake. I've not got an account. Don't pay for anything. I just usually put. Ie doctor who serise 3 episode 5 dailymotion in Google and it takes me right to it. Or if you know the title of the one you want to watch you just type in. The day of the doctor dailymotion.
There is a dailymotion app too. But I find it a little complicated and I dont really have the space.

FunnyFarmer Thanks for that. I found the website pretty hard to fathom never mind an app. I will try searching for series on google the way you do. I have opened an account but it didn't ask you to pay anything. I just figured that to get full episodes and not the clips I came across, that I might need to be a registered user.

Paxillin yes a 2 hearted alien who can regenerate is absolutely fine. I have no problem with that :)

I don't think I could take to a female dr either. But on the other hand I didn't think I would take to a female master but I did.
I think its a massive risk for a new show runner to take on.
If Moffat was still in charge I would say it would be definitely be a possibility.
I just really can't see chibnall running with it. If it was to flop he would never know if it was his writing or changing the dynamics of the leading character that did it

Also changing the sex of the master is entirely different to changing the sex of the doctor. The master is only a an occasional character.
I would like to see a male companion though. Who is a companion in there own right and not just the boyfriend of a companion. I was very disappointed they never did any story's with just the dr and Rory. I think that would have been great.
I thought Rigsy from flatline and face the raven would make a good companion
