Missys ever changing accent

Missy has always had a Scottish (Glaswegian) accent. I loved the bit at the start of this week's episode when both the Doctor and Missy were extra Glaswegian sounding, that's what happens to me when I meet another Scottish person amongst lots of non-Scots - I get more Scottish. I loved this episode, PC has been brilliant in this series, such a pity he wasted all that time on the Clara story line, which was both interminable and impenetrable.

I just rewatched all the modern series on Netflix and I have to say that Matt Smith was STONKINGLY good! Eccleston was also fantastic, Tennant was brilliant in some but his tiny mouth annoyed me in the end and actually, Capaldi's first series was really good. The second one is unwatchable and this one is better than his first.

I do miss Matt though, I hope the next doctor is a nearest him in personality.

I loved Matt Smith. His first episode as Dr was ace but it went downhill from there for me, partly due to the scripts (even though I thought MS was a brilliant Dr). All that bollocks about River Song being better and more amazing than the Dr and knowing how to 'drive' the Tardis properly and calling him 'her old man'. URGH!! (Although strangely, I quite liked her last ever episode with PC, she wasn't anywhere near as irritating).

DS13 surprised me the other day though by saying his favourite Dr is Peter Capaldi. I'd have put money on it being MS, but there you go.

I bloody loved River ( Hence username- I cant sing ) Apart from the 'Hello Sweetie' thing all the time and the unnecessary direct opposite timeline which they quietly got rid of, I bought into the story completely. I loved Matt and her together, despite the real life 20 year age gap. I also loved her with PC. Agree that Matt Smith was brilliant. I think they served him really badly towards the end, considering he took over from the hugely popular DT and nobody knew who he was. He made the role his own, grew the brand in the US and worldwide, yet they filled his time with gaps and messing around with the schedule. Then he had a weird 2 second regeneration as if to say 'bye. We've got a proper Doctor now!'

Can't believe it's only a day away from the finale! What did you all think of John Simms return?
Did anyone guess it was him?

I love John Simm in anything so I'm chuffed to see him back. I wasn't sure if it was him though I did wonder a few times.

I dont like Bill or PCs doctor so I'm pleased its moving on. Bloody love Missy though. I hope she stays for a while longer.

Girl in the fireplace is me least episode ever. hated it. althought he clockwork droids were beautiful.

Think I would have to say my favourite is blink. I know it's a typical fav but I loved it.
Think my top 10 would look like this (Modern era)

1. Blink
2. The empty child/the doctor dances.
3. Human nature/family of blood
4. Under the lake/ before the flood.
5. The angles take Manhattan
6. Vincent and the doctor
7. The girl who waited.
8. Army of ghosts/doomsday
9. Darlek.

10 the impossible astronaut/day of the moon. Although I'm pretty sure this list could quite easily change daily. I thought heaven scent was amazing but was really let down by he'll bent. It's a shame it didn't make my list.

Oh wait can I subsidute doomsday/Armey of ghosts for turn left? I know that was part of a bigger story which was a bit of flop in comparison but as a stand alone episode it was brilliant!.

Oh. If I'm having turn left as a stand alone episode. I should really include heaven scent shouldn't I?

And I said I didn't like Jon Simms but in this episode he was Brilliant! channelling the 1st 2 masters perfectly, including goatee.

Loved it. Need to watch the episode again. And then back to endless re-wqtching of the old ones until Christmas. I hope Netflix will have the full series 9 and 10 soon.

Ohmigod I literally had no clue what was going on tonight. The acting was bloody brilliant all round but I am totally confused. If anyone could explain what just happened I'd be very very grateful.

Can't wait for Christmas. Even though I like spoilers I really hope they don't pander to potential ratings and do a big announcement show like they did last time, let it be a Christmas surprise.
Favourite episode is hard to say, I liked The Big Bang and pretty much all of the season with Matt Smith, Amy, Rory and River but Heaven Sent is an almost perfect blend of acting and script writing.
Least favourite would be the episode where Rose came back (name escapes me ) but I never did like the romance between the two.

I'm 12 minutes in and had to pause to sort children out. So far I'm enjoying it except for the awful music which means I can't always hear the dialogue. I wish they would get a new score, this has plagued me for years. Whenever they use choral wailey music its just like a wall of impenetrable noise and I can't distinguish the different voices easily and it gives me a headache.

I'd have liked a regeneration today. Capaldi will be a tough act to follow.
