Michelle Gomez is leaving after this series she said so in an interview. She said Peter is 'her Dr' and its the perfect time to leave when he does. Will miss her I love Missy.

I dont think its pushing Bill being gay at all, as pp said if she had invited a bloke round there wouldnt be people saying 'oh shes hetrosexual is she, big deal'. And the fact that her friend was black, erm Pearl isnt very peely wally herself! She even refers to knowing what racism is in a previous episode. Whats the difference if she is gay, straight, black or white.

I am curious as to why Missy was sentanced to death, no doubt something weird and wonderful and global Grin

Of course Missy is in the vault, the Dr spoke to her at the end of the episode!

I didnt find it confusing at all once it got going I liked it. Wonder how he will fight the Big Bad thats coming?

I also like the references to River, I like her, shoot me now Grin

Willow2017 · 22/05/2017 00:02

Oops how did that happen?

Fl0ellafunbags · 22/05/2017 08:08

I love Michelle Gomez as Missy. I'd be quite happy to watch an entire series with Missy as the lead

Me too, I like a side of funny with my evil.

Davros · 22/05/2017 09:46

Can't stand Missy, sorry folks! I need to watch ch that again without the phone in my hand. Enjoying this series much more than the last one so far Tardis

SoupDragon · 22/05/2017 10:11

I find Missy disturbing, which is perhaps the point given she is the Master. John Simm as the master was equally disturbing but brilliant. I did far prefer him to Missy.

RatOnnaStick · 22/05/2017 10:11

Hang on hang on...

What if
Doctor releases Missy when she promises to help fight,
They beat the baddies but Missy has to do something despicable to do it? Something that the Doctor offers to do but she steps in and says it's her role to do the nasty.
Then she ends up sentenced to death because of it, only he won't kill her because he can't for friendship, gratitude, history etc and that's how she ends up in the Vault?

RatOnnaStick · 22/05/2017 10:13

Head hurts now...

Funnyfarmer · 22/05/2017 12:29

Is it like a drumming noise in your head @RatOnnaStick?

The Scissor Sisters scene was genius.

SoupDragon · 22/05/2017 14:03

I'm going to have to find those episodes to rewatch them :)

Willow2017 · 22/05/2017 14:08

But the master is disturbing he is batshit crazy, he was sent mad from looking into the Untempered Schism when he was a boy. Thats when he first heard the drumming.

Those Time Lords and their rituals eh?

Fl0ellafunbags · 22/05/2017 21:57

I can remember beardy master from back in the day who was a sinister shithouse. John Simm and Missy make being bad a little bit fun and sexy

woodhill · 22/05/2017 22:02

Yes, beardy master man and banger sausage monster

Crabcanon · 24/05/2017 19:27

When I was growing up Roger Delgado was The Master. He was a bad-un and definitely didnt have a funny side. He was fab. I'm not a Missy fan at all. But mainly because she was in the series I'd literally lost the plot of and couldn't work out who was who and who was doing what or why.

RustyBear · 24/05/2017 21:43

Roger Delgado's Master did have a funny side...

Crabcanon · 24/05/2017 22:18

Rusty wow! I stand corrected :) I was 11 when I started watching and being a wimp I was always terrified of Dr Who from the second the theme tune came on. As my older brothers' both insisted it was on though, I persevered. But I was probably too traumatised to remember any humour and I was mainly watching from behind the sofa.

QuiQuaiQuod · 25/05/2017 17:48

Roger Delgado in 'the sea devils' watching 'the clangers' and whistling! Brilliant!

I loved his droll funny side.

crab I too was scared by the theme as a child. although its the best theme tune EVERRRRRRRRRRRR! (and theres a lot of great theme tunes out there). Tardis.

Im stills scared by davros (the character, not the poster on MN!Grin)

and the original till the 80's cybermen. modern ones not scary at all Sad

Crabcanon · 25/05/2017 18:26

Qui It's an amazing theme tune.

I agree Davros just IS scary looking. And I was terrified of the original cybermen. The new ones just look like something you'd buy the DC from Argos.

I'm trying to remember one particular episode set in Wales where Sarah Jane was the Doctor's assistant. For some reason the Doctor couldn't find her and she'd left him a note saying "Gone to get you a maggot". I always remember that mainly because one day my DB was late coming home from school and I wanted to go play with my friend next door. I left him a note saying "I'd gone to get him a maggot". We are 56 and 63 respectively now and still laugh about the maggot letter.

RustyBear · 25/05/2017 20:09

That episode was The Green Death, Crabcanon, but it was Jo Grant, not Sarah-Jane who went out to get a maggot for the Third Doctor. It was her last adventure with the Doctor, she married Professor Cliff Jones at the end of it and went off up the Amazon with him. Sarah-Jane arrived in the next story, getting accidentally carried off in the TARDIS to medieval England.

Davros · 25/05/2017 23:02

Heh heh, you don't know just HOW scary looking I am!

Crabcanon · 25/05/2017 23:43

rusty oh wow thank you. I can't believe you knew just which episode I meant :). You're a genius. And I'd totally forgotten about Jo Grant. I did remember it had Brigadier Lethbridge Stewart in. I always felt very reassured by him :)

Davros I can well believe you are even scarier in the flesh/metal then you are on screen. I like to think you have a soft side underneath though.

SoupDragon · 26/05/2017 07:31

The clangers are puppets??? Shock

The orginal cybermen were clearly men in silver painted rubber suits. I think the current ones are far scarier - or would be if I wasn't now an adult.
