Wait, Bill's gay? I hadn't noticed. Why was this essential piece of information that sums up everything about her as a person not repeatedly stated in all of her first few episodes?! How are we supposed to gain any affection for a new character if we don't know which genitals she prefers?!

And yes, 'gay' as an insult did seem acceptable in the mid 2000s, which is when the new series started. Fortunately times keep changing!

Hard to believe such a short while ago it was exeptable especially as the head writer was gay himself.
My dd watched some classic only fools and horses with me and was actually shocked and the mild racism, homophobia and sexism what was deemed funny in the mid 80's. In our life time. We probably never battered an eye lid back then.

It is strange! Captain jack was shown as bisexual although there was more to him than that - bill Potts has no character, no background and no history which is why she is boring.

'That's so Gay' has never been in my vocabulary, although i heard it a lot from some terribly right-on millenials.

When DC was at infant school, the term 'you're so gay' was banded about a lot by the tiddlers! Thankfully notby DC.

Funny we love dads army here too and there was amild rascist reference to Chinese people last week. It was 'of it's time' though as its a programme from my own childhood which I never batted an eyelid at then.

Damien Molony was brilliant in Being Human. His 'Hal going on a rampage' made me come over all necessary. I can't listen to Puttin' On The Ritz the same since.

It was very Moffatie. I think I'm starting to understand Moffats way of thinking because it did actually meme sense to me. Obviously a lot more story to unflod so much of it won't make just yet. I did enjoy it and I'm intrigued to see where it's going

I was a bit about who's in the vault unless there is an extra twist it all seemed a bit obvious! But I'm interested to see where the overall story goes!
