It's on next Monday and Tuesday.

Can anyone remember when the last one was on as it seems like years? They are all teenagers now. Shock

I think it was every year at the beginning as babies develop so quickly at first. Now they're doing milestones. They did starting secondary school in 2013 and being on the cusp of becoming a teenager. Now they're doing age 16/17 and on the cusp of adulthood and leaving school.

Dulra · 03/04/2017 08:23

Thanks for heads up on this chicaguapa working tonight so would never have known it was on have seen all previous updates can't believe 17 years has passed I feel old Sad

Groovee · 03/04/2017 09:33

I remember seeing the advert for child of our time in 1999. My due date meant I was 2 weeks too late then Dd arrived 3 weeks early. Was gutted.

FernetBranca · 03/04/2017 09:39

There was an article in the Times last week, although it wasn't hugely informative. There were a lot fewer children although it wasn't clear if it was a targeted photo shoot.

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 03/04/2017 14:20

Thank you! I've just set it to record. Dc3 was a baby during the 2013 update. I've loved it from the start (I was about 12 or 13 when it first started) but find even more intriguing since becoming a parent.

HeyRoly · 03/04/2017 14:45

I am so thrilled it's back! I really thought the BBC had shelved it for good. I love the show and catching up with all the families. Such a shame that so many have dropped out, but that's inevitable I suppose.

OliviaBonas · 03/04/2017 15:30

I'm excited too. I thought it had been shelved indefinitely due to funding cuts. I think of Eve's mum often too.

morningtoncrescent62 · 03/04/2017 18:32

Oh great, I hadn't noticed this was back, will definitely watch. I hope the twins from Glasgow are still in - I think their names were Alex and Ivo, but I might have that wrong. It must feel very strange, though, to be 16 and have bits of your childhood and your parents' stories documented and so easily available for anyone who wants to see them. I don't think I'd have consented to take part as a parent.

Graphista · 03/04/2017 18:35

Dilemma though - Broadchurch or this? Shock

PinkSquash · 03/04/2017 18:36

Thanks for the reminder as I'd have missed it otherwise. I remember it starting- I was 14. Lovely to watch them grow up

AllllGooone · 03/04/2017 18:40

Massively appreciate this heads up! There was one little lad with a single mum who is always on my mind. She seemed to be having such a tough time, trying so hard and trying to stay safe from his dad.

I also remember the lad parys whose mum was a well known artist-he always sticks in my mind too.

I'm excited!

OliviaBonas · 03/04/2017 21:02

Here we go!

I think James is the boy you're talking about Alll

DontCallMeBaby · 03/04/2017 21:12

DD has just told me they saw a video about Matt in assembly!

Blinkyblink · 03/04/2017 21:17

Loving it but goodness, Dr Tanya... you are an attractive woman, why on earth have you caked on such an incredible quantity of makeup??

jay55 · 03/04/2017 21:19

She had more makeup than all the teens combined.

IfYouGoDownToTheWoodsToday · 03/04/2017 21:21

I'm so angry Ive switched it off!

Why did they keep calling the girl a "tomboy" because she liked tractors, worms and fishing?! She's a girl for goodness sake. If a Professor in 2017 can't get it right, what the heck chance to women/girls have to be who they want to be, rather than the "if you don't like babies, pink and sparkles you a re not a proper girl"

bookworm14 · 03/04/2017 21:23

How can they be 16?? I started university the year it was first shown, and now the participants are nearly as old as I was then!

EsmesBees · 03/04/2017 21:23

Goodness they've all grown up so much. Always loved this show.

MrsDoylesTeabags · 03/04/2017 21:23

I find this fascinating, my son was born in the same year as these children so I love to see how they've grown

DontCallMeBaby · 03/04/2017 21:25

I think I can see now how DD will look at 16, then I see this and think, god, she could be unrecognisable!

Beebeeeight · 03/04/2017 21:25

Got it on now.

Thanks for the heads up!

HollyJollyDillydolly · 03/04/2017 21:29

Aww. How lovely is Eves dad?

DontCallMeBaby · 03/04/2017 21:31

He is indeed coolest dad ever Smile

AllllGooone · 03/04/2017 21:35
