Polly I'm no medic, but I think Steve is brown bread.

Misovexed · 09/04/2017 22:44

I agree clawdy. That shark was well jumped in the last five mins of ep 1 and JM has been trying to wrestle it back ever since. Either that or he's traded top marks/quotes from The Sun for 'critical acclaim' but is wrestling with his Faustian pact.

We see you Jed

NoelHeadbands · 09/04/2017 22:48

I'm convinced that the crap solicitor/Roz/ "Jimmy Lakeland" are tied up in a 'Caddy' type way.

The way Roz's husband kept pressing the redial on his mobile, and then repeating the spelling of Lakeland (Lakehill? Can't remember lol) it to Arnott seemed so relevant.

I think Jamie could be the new Caddy... DUN dun DUUUNNNN!

Misovexed · 09/04/2017 22:48

Craic it's true farmer's solicitor looks like he's just whipped off a balaclava, scooby door style, to berate those pesky kids. Someone give him a comb!

Misovexed · 09/04/2017 22:52

How about ROZ as the new caddy. Dot got in to AC12 after being proved 'squeaky' and doing good work in an investigation AC12 where involved in. Roz is exhonerated and moves across.

DH is scowling at me. He was just a bit dismissive, tbh. Cheek.

CraicMammy · 09/04/2017 22:53

I'm going to have to watch the first two episodes (yet again) tomorrow and start making notes. My head hurts, not as much as Steve Arnott's tho WinkSad

Purpleprickles · 09/04/2017 22:55

Sorry to hear about the bog and cloud Misovexed! My why was in reply to your comment about JM deliberately making Steve annoying, I wasn't sure what that was covering up? And now you said flash some thigh.. so I'm thinking is it Kate?? Hope not, I love her.

ActuallyThatsSUPREMECommander · 09/04/2017 22:58

To whoever was worried about Hana not cleaning the blood on the side:
A) she's not the murderer
B) From the POV of the cops who think she was, the official line is that that blood splatter is Ifield's, so she'd have no reason to clean it - it's right next to his body in his flat. The only things Hana would need to clean would be her own fingerprints and footprints.

TizzyDongue · 09/04/2017 22:59

What the HELL!

Steves head is doomed: baseball bat + banister + three storey impact = unhappy head

CoolCarrie · 09/04/2017 23:01

OMG I wasn't expecting that, poor Steve, I love his cute face and he is a good actor. I do think he is a goner unfortunately, but look what they did to call the midwife actress in series two, Jed has form for this!

Misovexed · 09/04/2017 23:01

Steve has always been a bit annoying but this series it's ramped up so there must be a reason. It could be to throw us off scent ( is he framing Roz?) or to highlight tension between him and Kate or the sexist relationships in the force in general or between Arnott and Hastings in particular ( recall the pub scene last week? The man-to-man nod and a wink?). The sexism has also been ramped up (would Hastings have called a woman 'wee lasso' in previous series?)
Has Arnott joined the masons and sold out after being so isolated in the last series? Did he find a warm embrace in the arms of the dark side?
Is Arnott bent?

Just asking.

TizzyDongue · 09/04/2017 23:03

Oh btw - the neighbour/nurse woman who was interviewed and didn't want to tell Jamie that the taxi man was white. Who is the actress?

Recognised her, but can't place her. Was she in the Fall?

My favourite LOD tweet Smile

Misovexed · 09/04/2017 23:04

Wee lassie not wee lasso Hmm

I'm liking my Arnott is bent theory though. Oh yes . . .

whatsthecomingoverthehill · 09/04/2017 23:05

Beardy copper is a good shout, but wouldn't that be a bit too similar to the caddy storyline?

Misovexed · 09/04/2017 23:08

Jeez, don't agree with DH. I'm locked in a theory arm wrestle here, 'whatsthecomingoverthehill'.

TizzyDongue · 09/04/2017 23:09

When's Sunday? Tomorrow? Surely we don't have to wait more than 24 hours!!

Purpleprickles · 09/04/2017 23:12

Ahh I get you now Misovexed. You are right the sexism is rife, Ted would never normally be so inappropriate. Maybe Jamie was brought in to watch Steve by Ted and he is nothing to do with Jimmy.

Misovexed · 09/04/2017 23:14

Or maybe it's Hastings being watched. We've suspected him in every series . . . Is he/isn't he dodgy with his funny handshakes with kiddy fiddlers. Now we've all relaxed and see him as the moral compass of AC12 and BAM. We were right all along.

Misovexed · 09/04/2017 23:16

The only people accusing Roz are men.

Just saying.

Kate is on the fence.

toldmywrath · 09/04/2017 23:18

I proper gasped as well. Nikki not Steve. He must be a gonner. I think Mr Ros was in the A word ( world shut your mouth) as the father of the autistic boy. Further, the wife from the a word was in the Replacement along with the actress who plays Kate. Grin

toldmywrath · 09/04/2017 23:19

Sorry I've no idea what Nikki not Steve means, blooming autocorrect and I can't remember what I meant to type.🤔

Nellooo · 09/04/2017 23:29

An excellent tweet -

OutToGetYou · 09/04/2017 23:58

I think the work experience girl will save the day - blow it all wide open. Ros is sucking up to her, but I don't think she's as daft as they've tried to make her look.

Poor Steve! (but, in Rl, do they actually ever go alone?)

Megatherium · 10/04/2017 00:01

Roz's bullying, threatening questioning of Hana seemed far-fetched. This series is beginning to jump the shark a bit for me.

No, it wasn't. She knew she had Huntley watching her, she had to do it convincingly.
