Trying to remember what the actor who played Paula's husband was in before.

huhpuh · 28/02/2017 22:09

He was in Teachers.

HemanOrSheRa · 28/02/2017 22:10

I think Georgia is someone from Paula's past who knows something eddie.

SuperFlyHigh · 28/02/2017 22:11

Misssuhb that murder one in the hills with the 2 families, forget the name, and wasn't there another one?

Nothing wrong with Scottish dramas was just wondering why quite a few.

OnTheDarkSideOfTheSpoon · 28/02/2017 22:13

I enjoyed this. What else are people watching if you liked this too? Need more recommendations!

PoloZolo · 28/02/2017 22:13

I turned it over after 10 minutes, it just didn't seem that realistic to me. In real life things would be a lot more subtle and less direct confrontation.

neveradullmoment99 · 28/02/2017 22:14

I really enjoyed it. I loved the ending :) Looking forward to next weeks episode.

Cherrypie32 · 28/02/2017 22:16

I didn't expect that ending, I thought she was being invited to a secret leaving do and they were all going to jump out saying 'surprise'!

chosenone · 28/02/2017 22:17

Loved it. At first i thought it was about perception and wasn't sure if Ellen was BU or Paula was. It seemed to focus on narc personalities and the hint with Ellens DH job seemed to suggest her. Then the ending made it much more sinister 🤔

ElenaGreco123 · 28/02/2017 22:23

I agree that it was a very uncomfortable viewing. It was like why are watching this, it is exactly like my old workplace?!

southeastdweller · 28/02/2017 22:24

I'd have liked Ellen's suspicions of Paula to have occurred more gradually but otherwise it was a nicely entertaining hour.

So, Ellen was a patient of her husband's - maybe this means he's unreliable and is going to do something else inappropriate?

neveradullmoment99 · 28/02/2017 22:25

I thought that the ending was a set up to get rid of Ellen once and for all. Paula has something to hide, without a doubt. Its creepy how she is at the window looking out as if she has some mental issues.

murasaki · 28/02/2017 22:27

I think Paula doesn't have a child but lost one

TinfoilHattie · 28/02/2017 22:28

I enjoyed it. Yes Ellen's character was a bit annoying but there was an obvious back story going on there with previous mental health issues. Same with Paula - something weird with the interaction with her husband. It's not really a "scottish drama" though, it just happens to be set in Glasgow with a mainly Scottish cast. Same could be said about the Moorside thing, and Last Tango in Halifax, or that other thing with Sarah Lancashire - why are there so many Yorkshire dramas on telly?

Paula clearly unhinged.

(And I'm SURE that the offices were the former Commonwealth Games offices in Albion St where I had my interview to volunteer as a Clydesider).

TinfoilHattie · 28/02/2017 22:30

I think Paula doesn't have a child but lost one

There was a child in the car when her husband came to the office. Doesn't mean it's her child though I suppose.

snoopyokay · 28/02/2017 22:32

I also thought secret leaving do cherry!
Really liked it and nice to see Kurt from Teachers used to love that show Grin

murasaki · 28/02/2017 22:35

The looking out of the window and what looked like an emergency Caesarian at the end made me think it. Not sure, mind, which is good f R next week

Clawdy · 28/02/2017 22:36

The meetings late at night in the deserted buildings seemed very unlikely - first Paula and Ellen, then Ellen and her boss.

ArriettyClock1 · 28/02/2017 22:58

Do they do emergency caesarians vertically down the abdomen, as she was being iodine swabbed top to bottom?

neveradullmoment99 · 28/02/2017 23:00

The meetings late at night in the deserted buildings seemed very unlikely - first Paula and Ellen, then Ellen and her boss.

I don't really think it is. She was quite passionate about her project. It was her baby. That is why she went the first time and then the second time after feeling ousted she gets a call that vindicates everything she thought about Paula. She rushes to speak to her boss who is also her friend and then her boss falls through the skyline. I don't see that as far fetched.

PollyHampton · 28/02/2017 23:05

I think Georgia is the woman Paula had a business with before she got Ellen's job. I enjoyed it, thought Ellen was being a bit neurotic but hated Paula's smugness. Can't wait for next week!

Cagliostro · 28/02/2017 23:19

Enjoyed that!

RainbowJack · 28/02/2017 23:20

It reminds me of The Kindness of Strangers with Hermione Norris.

Cagliostro · 28/02/2017 23:21

The husband seemed staggeringly young for a psychiatrist though (given the many years of qualifying etc)

daffodil10 · 28/02/2017 23:21

Blimey can't believe the amount of posts about it being unrealistic it was a DRAMA not a documentary!!! Have you not heard of poetic licence too make a better story
