Will the new exec producer lose his obsession with bins?
Has Max really forgiven Jane, Ian and Phil?
What secret does the new 'Chelle have?
Will Johnny Sausage learn to act?
Is Denise going to go through with the adoption?
What's going to happen with Lee?
What are your hopes for EE this year?

Come and discuss here!

Sorry I'm a few days behind with eastenders. Watched the episode where Whitney said to Lee "has she ever asked for anything". I nearly spat my wine out. Then thought, technically she never asked for anything, she demanded. The flat, the wedding. How annoying is she?

LineyReborn · 05/01/2017 22:35

Yes the towel nonsense is crap. Unless Michelle is now going to break down and admit to some sort of false luxury towel memory syndrome in a desperate bid to stave of the actual realities of her deprived childhood.

iknowimcoming · 05/01/2017 22:55

Oh god I do hope we're not heading towards a 'the marriage wasn't consummated therefore Ronnies next of kin is technically Glenda and Matthew, then she could go with a custody battle to get Amy and Matthew and thus be in charge of the wonga (see what I did there)!

dingdongdigeridoo · 05/01/2017 22:56

It felt like everyone was trying to get Jack to buck up and start looking to the future. He's not even buried his wife yet!

He really should have told Glenda to fuck off though. Awful character. I keep forgetting that Vincent shagged Ronnie.

Mini-Pauline is most irritating and hope she fucks off back to Florida soon. Cos it's so easy to move to the USA whenever you want.

HoHumming · 05/01/2017 22:57

The towels were probably softer because they were dried in a tumble dryer at the launderette (for free seeing as Pauline worked there). We know that Michelle doesn't have money troubles or she wouldn't be spending money on her credit care online (she was going to buy them without confirming Martin would reimburse her).

Arthur's allotment would have been taken back by the council years ago. There aren't any gardens in the square, there must be huge demand for them.

I never liked Jack but he is really touching now.
I like Shirley's new hair!

nancy75 · 05/01/2017 22:57

Glenda might get Matthew but Amy is Jacks so he would keep her

nancy75 · 05/01/2017 22:59

Shirl does look loads better now they've given her hair a wash

Parmaviolets13 · 05/01/2017 23:04

I assumed Max meant he needs to buck up for the kids. He can't mope around and send them to their rooms everyday, something will have to give. I could be wrong though.

But ergh Michelle 😠 it's not like Stacey's character to not say anything. I really dislike her

GentlyOnTheShort · 05/01/2017 23:11

The "new" actress playing Michelle is a ridiculous concept. She doesn't look like her, sound like her, or act like her 'character' - she is a completely different person! Its totally pathetic and stretching incredulity to the limit. She's a boring character (whoever she is) too already. Why didn't EE just create a new character.

HoHumming · 05/01/2017 23:16

I presume they are lining her up to be one of those annoying busybody characters, like Pauline.

The only other reason I can think of for her to return to her childhood home and get nostalgic is she is ill or has lost everything but then she wouldn't be buying towels. You'd think she and Sharon would be joined at the hip after all the times Sharon jetted off to see her in Florida!

GentlyOnTheShort · 05/01/2017 23:16

The Michelle actor really should be playing a detective inspector in a small town in a shit drama about minor insurance fraud. Very funny, Limey. Also agree with whoever said she sounds much too posh. What a joke!

GentlyOnTheShort · 05/01/2017 23:18

Possibly HoHumming But at least Pauline had a personality! I lose the will to live when I see the update who I agree looks like a copper!!

iknowimcoming · 05/01/2017 23:21

Nancy - ah yes sorry of course Amy is jacks!

Nuchelle is awful and how can Martin who was mostly pretty good at looking after Stacey and spotting bi-polar issues be so oblivious to her irritation with his sister, not to mention 'really miss parents especially at times like these' what times? 'Oh nothing' Hmm

MichaelSheensNextDW · 05/01/2017 23:59

Just catching up. Vincent's lunchbox in those running leggings nearly had my eye out.
Agree New Michelle is dire, and not credible at all.

Hohumming · 06/01/2017 00:17

Pauline was bolshy, always screaming and shouting. I think the new EE is moving away from that. Michelle's character hasn't even begun to develop really. I think Max and Stacey will turn to each other for support.

HateSummer · 06/01/2017 02:12

Omgoodness the drawer really fascinated me too! It was one drawer but pretending to be two! Who ever knew such a thing existed?!

Just when I thought we'd never hear it again, Jack had to mention flipping Ongar again 🙄😆.

Max said jack had been acting like this for a week...it's not even been a week yet Confused unless they've skipped forward in time? Let the man cry.

Vincent didn't look too sad at Rommies death. Didn't her cover Fatboy's death for her? Do you think he'll tell anyone she killed him now?

The80sweregreat · 06/01/2017 06:56

how could anyone 'move on' after a few days when anything bad happens like that? it will take Jack months, possibly years to start feeling even remotely normal. Max has had Bradley die , Emma , a broken marriage , a secret wife, an affair with his son's girlfriend , done time for a crime he didn't do - (amongst other things) you would think he would understand more than most!!
I suppose he may have meant ' you need to do this for the kids' but come on. No, Vincent didn't look that upset - he did help Ronnie with Fatboy, although how or why fats ended up in that car baffled me. ( if he was, indeed, in the car??) Its a complicated place to live.

The80sweregreat · 06/01/2017 07:02

Nu Michelle isn't the 'real' Michelle so she is spinning Martin a lie about fluffy towels and nice decorations. She is an imposter and managed to brainwash Sharon into thinking its her - She is going to take over the world and make us all buy new bath towels and make pies. ( why the obsession with pies in EE lately..)
Evil cow. We know the truth, we were there in 85 when it all began.

SoupDragon · 06/01/2017 07:35

It's been over 21 years since OldChelle left though. I'm not the same person I was 21 years ago either. Although, to be fair, I still have the same head.

SoupDragon · 06/01/2017 07:36

I'm surprised Stacey hasn't told her to fuck off though. I didn't think she was known for her tact and reserve.

Iwantacampervan · 06/01/2017 07:45

It amused me that Martin and Michelle were reminiscing about the allotment/growing up etc but both have had new heads - it's probably why 'inconsistencies' have crept in as they wouldn't have known (I know it's not real!).

MrsBotox · 06/01/2017 08:47

For heaven's sake. It's not the dark side of the moon! Ongar, a parish of Epping Forest which includes High Ongar and Chipping Ongar, is easily commutable to central London, just off theM25, 15mins from Epping tube station and the forest and close to Brentwood for main line trains. It also boasts some of the most expensive property in the home counties.
Not sure Ongar would want thicko Jack and his tribe to move in. Def have adverse effect on house prices.

The80sweregreat · 06/01/2017 09:36

if jack and his 3x3 do move to ONGAR I could drive over with a frozen lasagne and some findus crispy pancakes, I am sure he would be over the moon! It is a very pricy area, some roads in Chipping Ongar are purchased outright I read somewhere once ( probably before 2008 though)
I used to go to Epping forest as a kid, part of Essex felt like the real country to me when I was 8!
I don't think they have furniture with odd drawers in their houses that would have to go to the charity shop.

woodhill · 06/01/2017 09:42

Also wouldn't there be more chit chat about Florida, her house, her job, dc etc not just Albert Square.

Bull about Pauline's towels, if I remember Pauline was pregnant with Martin and they were really hard up, she couldn't afford another mouth to feed. Plus the house was not palacial and its walls seems to have magically expanded now Jane and Ian inhabit it (maybe it's the light coloured walls, think not 😜

MrsJayy · 06/01/2017 09:45

Caught pfft Towels was chelle living in another house like Pauline fowler had good towels to her special snowflakes didnt get rashy skin she has nostalgic memory syndrome real chelle couldnt give 2 hoots about towels. Babe the pigeon catcher its was the vic roof not trafalgar square how many pigeons were up there. Glad somebody told Amy and Ricky now jack can bugger off to Ongar thought we had heard the last of the place.
