Had a look but couldn't see another thread.

Anyone else watched any? Just seen the first episode and can't make my mind up. I'm ambivalent towards the monarchy but the production seems sumptuous. It's nice seeing all the 40's/50's fashions though.

Ok I've just seen the potential BJ reference. Yeah I reckon it was just that! Cheeky.

I've seen some pictures of the Queen and Phil pop up on my Instagram because it was their 69th wedding anniversary. They still look in love. It's quite sweet. It's quite likely they did some sneaking into each others chambers!

They were young once! It's hard to remember that sometimes when you look at an older couple, but both of them were very good looking in their youth and you could easily see a young girl brought up in a restrictive household becoming enthralled with a dashing, roguish naval officer!

i loved the narration from Edward, the abdictated king, in episode 5, and assume it is based on truth since I think the letters were found -

I finished a mega-binge of the Crown on Netflix last night. I loved it. Especially Churchill. Can't wait for Season 2.

It seems to me that Zara, Peter, William and Harry get on really well, but Bea and Eugenie seem to be not so close.

Eugenie and Harry are supposed to be very close, double dating with partners and going on holiday together. Supposedly she introduced him to his last two girlfriends (according to the tabloids).

Noah apparently the DoW was paid to do a commentary from the Coronation by a magazine, and they really did have a big party! If you have Virgin, they have a behind the scenes thing where they said it.

Prince philip comes across as a right grumpy bastard, never liked him.
On episode 8, season 2

Happylittlethoughts · 21/12/2020 09:57

I'm on Season 2... have you found repeated scenes?!

  • "lets lay our cards on the table scene " Queen and Philip
  • the punching of Alderley?(?)
