Walking Dead - Who's dead?

As TWD returns at the end of the month we (me and DD) have been pondering as to who is dead.

My guess is Glenn - I know that the series makers are not wedded to the comics but I think they will on this point and I feel it has to be Glenn - he saw the pictures of the people who had already been killed by Lucille. He is one of the original cast.

Will be mightily pissed off if we don't know by the end of the first episode who it is. Also although it could be Eugene or Abraham they are not one of the Atlanta ones - I think this would be a cop out.

I guess because it would be relatively easy to 'cure' by killing all infected/walkers if it was standard zombie virus. Being in everyone, it only takes one person to die in their sleep and it starts all over again.
So the twist helps it to last 20 years like eastenders!

That's the thing - you're right. It would be pretty easy to eventually wait it all out, wait for the zombies to starve and disintegrate away. A long, long time to be sure the world was safe but still - an end in sight. So the killer bad ass twist that they all have it and there's just no way to contain it because of people dying through natural causes...it's just SO bloody good.

But it's like...they've done nothing with it. It's gone nowhere. So from a writer's perspective, what was the motivation for it? Robert Kirkman has created just too good a world with too many things not put in by accident or for no purpose. Everything he writes is for a purpose. A design. And it's such a huge thing to add in just cos it's kinda cool...and then to do nothing with it. He's a way better writer than that - to think up a brilliant twist, drop the bomb, then do nothing with it.

I've only just watched (part of) the new episode and can't sleep so came to look for this thread.
I actually couldn't finish the episode. I have watched every series so far and despite being incredibly squeamish and unable to watch horror films, I've really enjoyed it. But this was too much. I just felt sick and had to turn it off. Just at the point where negun was putting the belt round Carl's arm, so I'm assuming he gets Rick to cut it off?
Can anyone fill me in on what happens next as I really don't think I can bring myself to put it back on?

Yep that really. Rick properly breaks down too: snot and all.

Neegan tells them that they are to supply them with (half?) Of all they harvest, Rick agrees. Then The Meanies take a few selfie with the Headless Two and go home. Our lot take the Headless Two back with the looking slightly less cheerful than The Meanies.

So so gutted about Glenn and Abe though . Why couldn't they have gotten rid of the rubbish ones like Carl and Eugene?

The first episode of this season, obviously.

Abe was the one killed at the end of last series it was revealed. Then we got Glenn battered to death in graphic style as an unwelcome 2 for 1 bonus.
