Walking Dead - Who's dead?

As TWD returns at the end of the month we (me and DD) have been pondering as to who is dead.

My guess is Glenn - I know that the series makers are not wedded to the comics but I think they will on this point and I feel it has to be Glenn - he saw the pictures of the people who had already been killed by Lucille. He is one of the original cast.

Will be mightily pissed off if we don't know by the end of the first episode who it is. Also although it could be Eugene or Abraham they are not one of the Atlanta ones - I think this would be a cop out.

Anyone else worried about American spoilers?

I raged about the cliffhanger as I don't see how we will avoid American spoilers. Am really dreading this episode, which is stupid - why am I watching it?? I just hate the line up, it's such a hideous concept and to stretch it out over six months is really horrible. I think the writers have really let down the fans in their drive to have everyone speculating and talking about it - it strikes me as a bit of a cheap gimmick and I'm not happy! Anyway, I feel more worried than excited about watching; I hope they do the line up in the very first scene and don't draw out the tension anymore!!

I am quite convinced now by my personal theory (I am not aware of spoilers so if this is correct it is purely coincidence!) that it will be Abe, everyone will exhale with relief that it isn't Glenn, and then they will kill Glenn in some other surprise manner in the same episode.

I have a friend visiting so can't get up Monday morning, send the kids to play upstairs, and watch it straight away. Will have to avoid the internet completely until I have seen it. It's not often I don't watch it early in the morning, but I'll never get over seeing dead Beth on TWD's Facebook before I'd seen the episode

As far as I know they are playing it in the USA and here at the same time so no spoilers? Can anyone confirm that?

I think USA airs it one day before the UK, if they do I'm going to have to avoid the internet for the day as well, I get suggestions based on my search history and TWD always pops up. Anyone heard about rick losing his hand?!

Caught that programme about the whole series and saw it was originally in the first episode of TWD. Had completely forgotten!

Just checked my series link and the clever TiVo box is recording the first episode at 2.30am, then the rest at the normal time! Shame it's half term will have to get up mega early to watch!

I watched the season finale again yesterday to catch up. It's so cleverly done you really can't see who it is that's being Lucille'd but the cast in the Talking Dead say it's someone you are really emotionally invested in so that really means someone who's been in it from day one or early on. I think it's someone negan doesn't address, so he says stuff to Glenn, Maggie, Abraham, carl, but NOT Darryl or Michonne! I'm presuming it isn't Rick?! See, if I was Negan I'd take out the leader! Makes perfect sense but I think he's been seen in the trailer yes?

But he's already broken Rick and Daryl but not Michonne or Abe. Hence my Abe prediction . But I also wavered over Glenn after so many near misses last season

I really have no idea, think the general consensus is Glenn or Abe...but the taking it like a champ comment makes me wonder if it's someone more vulnerable i.e. a woman or a child! Although Abe kind of stood tall to Negan so would probably take a beating without buckling, I don't want it to be "bitchnuts" Abe though! Glenn would break Rick more and is an original character but then I think everyone will be oh ok knew it was going to be him...not a shock and therefore not as upsetting.

I genuinely could not cope with it being a child I.e Coral. The taking it like a champ line really upsets me. It's so brutal.

It can't be a child. I know who the majority predict it will be. Imagine rick losing his hand though! It that happens it'll be savage!

I only have freesat, so I've paid about £11 for NowTV 2 months worth, so I can watch it live tonight! I don't think I've been this dedicated to a show since Lost!
