Last thread here.

All ready for tonight's episode Smile Glitterball

OP posts:

I can well believe that Ed and Yvette and the kids do that.

I think his response to Len was quite natural - he is out of his comfort zone and it shows.
I don't see why he shouldn't do this if he made the decision with his family.

MargotLovedTom · 02/10/2016 08:39

I love him.

SoupDragon · 02/10/2016 08:40

I don't think Len is grumpy, I think he is often right.

SoupDragon · 02/10/2016 08:43

There's enough gushing from Darcey and Bruno. Craig andLen are often the only ones offering proper criticism.

DiegeticMuch · 02/10/2016 08:57

"You look great" and "you were having fun out there" should be banned phrases. They're vacuous and pointless. If a contestant is poor, explain why, in a polite way!

HalloToJasonIsaacs · 02/10/2016 09:02

Monkseal always has a go at Darcey for saying "The boys are right" but this series she's found loads of other ways of paraphrasing it: "the boys have said it all", "I agree with what the others have said" etc etc etcz

digerd · 02/10/2016 09:06

Craig has always been candid and says it as it is but Len has become grumpy in his manner, facial expression and tone of voice.
Bruno is always gushing/flamboyant and stands up. Darcy is always very kind and likes to give advice.
I get Len's expression with Bruno standing up next to him with his flaying arms Grin
I also thought Ed gave it his all and was impressed by his commitment.
My biggest disappointment is Melvin as he showed so much potential in the group dance. But think he will go tonight. Sad

ppeatfruit · 02/10/2016 09:35

Who the eff is Melvin? Who does he dance with? (from what you all say he'll be out before I even know who he is Grin ) I recorded last night 's but came in near the end.

Enjoyed the spat between the 2 gay judges!!! Rinder and Revell Hallwood!!

paulapantsdown · 02/10/2016 09:49

Why is Louise redknapp wearing such awful outfits each week? Unflattering and frumpy.

ThursdayLastWeek · 02/10/2016 09:54

Ah yes digerd I forgot Claudia and AJ. While I wish he would cut his hair, I loved their waltz last night and thought she did a brilliant job of it.

HalloToJasonIsaacs · 02/10/2016 10:33

Melvin Odoom. Tiny DJ and ex kids TV presenter, dances surprisingly badly with Janette.

SoupDragon · 02/10/2016 10:50

I think Len is pissed off with the fact that the audience boos every time he makes a negative comment, however relevant it is. It is ridiculous - I understand it with Craig as he fills the "pantomime villain" slot on the judge's bench.

raisedbyguineapigs · 02/10/2016 11:18

Lynda oops! I genuinely can't remember any dancing in it, and I only went in May!
I did end up pity voting for Ed, but I genuinely thought he deserved to stay in, if only because of the amount of effort he's out in!

raisedbyguineapigs · 02/10/2016 11:21

soup I hate the booing of Len. At least he calls the audience out on it. Hope theres not more panto booing when he goes next year. X factor is unwatchable for many reasons, but the bear baiting ring atmosphere is one of them for me.

Fiderer · 02/10/2016 11:41

I also think Len is right to be pissed off. Just as Craig is the pantomine villain pantomime judge, the audience act as a pantomime audience nowadays.

Don't remember it being every single time as it is now.

Meanwhile, here's the hilarious Monkseal

ppeatfruit · 02/10/2016 12:23

Thanks HellotoJason I do remember him now quite cute and not too bad a dancer . The trouble is in this series no one is totally crap Grin.

Fiderer · 02/10/2016 12:28

I just went to close the Monkseal tab and saw at the top of the page:

(Monkseal) "Is processing Ore being married, give him a minute."

My first thought was "Why is down a mine and why is he marrying a miner?"

ppeatfruit · 02/10/2016 13:18

Thanks for the Monkseal link Fiderer I can't mange to read it all though Grin.

DiegeticMuch · 02/10/2016 14:04

Oh yes, the audience booing is tedious.

DiegeticMuch · 02/10/2016 14:07

Gosh, that Monkseal has a lot to say.....

LadyConstanceDeCoverlet · 02/10/2016 14:23

There was an old film on with Oliver Reed and a very young Hayley Mills in it recently

Catching up ...

This can't be correct, can it? Hayley Mills is only 8 years younger than Oliver Reed.

LadyConstanceDeCoverlet · 02/10/2016 14:44

Last year we were all convinced wardrobe hated Kellie Bright. Given what Louise Redknapp is turning up in this year, I think we have to look at the common denominator. It must in fact be Kevin who they hate.

ilovesooty · 02/10/2016 14:56

Perhaps they're sick of the preferential treatment Kevin seems to get. I know I am.

MargotLovedTom · 02/10/2016 14:59

DiegeticMuch - that's the short version! The longer one, with photos, will be out through the week. It is always utterly hilarious.

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 02/10/2016 16:01

I like Danny. I don't care if he is a ringer: I love watching him dance. I thought the story telling in their waltz was excellent (compare to the dreadful "story" cooked up for Joanne and Ore's tango last week, for instance).

HalloToJasonIsaacs - "that was a politically dodgy quasi-abusive routine" - what?? Confused
