The Fall is back on RTE 1 in Sunday at 9.30
Jamie Dornan survives I think.
Looking forward to it.

Will Gillian Anderson still be wearing those lush silk blouses?
Anyone know where they are from?

Why thank you Brontebiscuits, I like to think I'm a modern day James Joyce in other words I write a load of mumbo jumbo and claim it's wise, then people pretend it makes sense

EverythingisOK123 · 28/10/2016 22:55

I found the hug with Stella's female colleague very one sided and awkward. And Rose Stags daughter looked very much like Olivia....

SwedishEdith · 28/10/2016 22:57

Oh, phew at Wallender - I thought him not having his face covered was good news.

And, yes, again, I think they'd have had security guards nearer to the interview room. But I don't want to nit-pick as it was so good.

Fox, you're very clever.

Just finished 6. Well. I wasn't expecting that, actually I guess I was.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 28/10/2016 23:08

Just watching now.

She'd have a face the size of a football after a battering like that, not lying in bed playing 20 questions with friendly doctorHmm

Whatgives · 28/10/2016 23:13

Ahhhh just finished watching! That was brutal.

How long did it take for the police to get there after he attacked Stella?! Really hope she does another series, she's a bit of an enigma isn't she?

Random fall facts:
Olivia and Liam are real life brother and sister. Jamie's father was a hospital porter in one of the episodes (he's a gynae doc irl) and the female defence lawyer is Mary in love/hate. Took me forever to work out who she was as I wouldn't let myself google it.

Are we sure that Burns wasn't one if the foster homes 'favourites'? Totally abused?

Was JD really dead? Maybe he's gonna do a Jon Snow GoT and come back -we thought he was dead before? End of S2?

FoxesOnSocks · 28/10/2016 23:18

No we're not sure PrivatePike. No clue given to why he went wonky, I'd guess at his having been abused in his childhood. He was very attached to Stella wasn't he.

Whatgives · 28/10/2016 23:19

Yeah pike when he was lying in the hospital bed after the beach incident I thought it was Olivia.

Also my friend grew up with JD, his father and her father are best mates. She thinks he's 'such a nerd' (her words) and doesn't get the whole sex symbol thing.

Brontebiscuits · 28/10/2016 23:20

Oh he's dead alright, Oblomov.
I'm not sure I'll sleep well tonight, it was all really disturbing Confused

Whatgives · 28/10/2016 23:21

I thought the same re Jim foxes it seems to have been left wide open, so I think it will feature if there's another series.

Whatgives · 28/10/2016 23:24

bronte I can finally sleep well. Dh said to me during the first series that I was totally JD's type. Early 30's brunette, professional working in Belfast!! Shock

SwedishEdith · 28/10/2016 23:28

Are we sure that Burns wasn't one if the foster homes 'favourites'? Totally abused?

That's my thinking. In fact, seems obvious or he was an abuser and is scared at being uncovered?

Whatgives · 28/10/2016 23:32

I don't think it's plausible that he could be one of the abused and be the lead investigating officer.

FoxesOnSocks · 28/10/2016 23:37

I wouldn't think he was abused in the same home, and I think he's too upset, rather than scared, to be an abuser. I'd say he was systematically abused either at his family home or another children's home.

Missanneshirley · 28/10/2016 23:38

In the scene where you saw people obviously breaking the news of her father's death to Olivia did we see Liam? He was in worse shape in hospital, did he make it?

I did a big embarrassing shout when JD attacked them in the interview room, so sudden and shocking!

Wtf was the doc all about?

Creepy creepy poem to poor wee ginger boy.

Incredible acting by JD just before he went mental in the interview room - just little twitches of eyes and jaw!

Brontebiscuits · 28/10/2016 23:38

Whatgives- JD is a nerd?! In what way?

FoxesOnSocks · 28/10/2016 23:42

I did a big embarrassing shout when JD attacked them in the interview room, so sudden and shocking!

Oh I did that (it's possibly the neighbours heard) and sat there hands clasped over my mouth wide eyed and not blinking.

Whatgives · 28/10/2016 23:53

Just a bit of a goof bronte she doesn't see his sexy side at all.

JedRambosteen · 28/10/2016 23:56

The violence was shocking, perhaps because it is so stylised and Marvel comic bookish in most TV shows.

I am glad someone else commented on Stella's lack of swelling & bruising, which was very silly given the ferocity of the assault.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 28/10/2016 23:57

Amazing episode. The interview room attack was ridiculously shocking.

JD was bloody terrifying in that episode. Like he knew it was game over and let the mask slip.
I swear his eyes looked like they belonged to a shark at one point still bloody gorgeous though

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 29/10/2016 00:03

Oh Lord, apart from the attack in the interview room I found the whole thing ridiculous. I think I must've been watching a different show to you allWink

I won't watch another series if it's on, Gibson has become a husky voiced characature of herself and unbelievable.

First two series were outstanding though.

Did anyone see the Graham Norton interview with Spector and Julie Walters a while back? He's a pussy cat ,soooo shy! JW at her best ripping the piss out of himGrin

SwedishEdith · 29/10/2016 00:04

I'd say he was systematically abused either at his family home or another children's home.

Yes, true. (I have being only been half-watching most episodes, tbh).
