The Fall is back on RTE 1 in Sunday at 9.30
Jamie Dornan survives I think.
Looking forward to it.

Will Gillian Anderson still be wearing those lush silk blouses?
Anyone know where they are from?

I think the nurse will still feature. She seems to have a bit of an obsession with death - she kept asking Spector about it, and referred to it in her note. So either she's a potential victim or she might feel it her duty to assist Spector to die. I think the dropped the note primarily because he had no choice - he was in handcuffs, and if he put it in a pocket or elsewhere he might be searched and it would be found.

LadyConstanceDeCoverlet · 22/10/2016 13:10

I wonder whether one of the other patients is a plant to see if he drops the facade? Maybe the one who was looking at him?

hollyisalovelyname · 22/10/2016 14:19

Will it be shown across two nights on RTE ? Second last episode is on this Sunday night.
So then so we catch Episode 6(?) on BBC 2 on Friday?

I've tried to look at RTE programming & ep 5 is on tomorrow & then again 30 Oct 2016 12:15am, with ep 6 following at 1:25am!

But ep 6 on BBC2 Fri 28th at 9pm!

So how come BBC are showing it before RTE?

(Unless I've misread the guide!)

alltoomuchrightnow · 22/10/2016 19:40

I wonder why the patient when he first saw PS, looked at him in that way? i.e. looked sad/disappointed..but later came back to talk to him.
Did he even know who PS was? Would they be protected from media in there?

hollyisalovelyname · 22/10/2016 21:07

diddl - I think you are right.
BBC viewers will 'overtake' us RTE viewers- unless we have BBC 2. Which most Irish viewers have.Smile
Stupid of RTE.
How many will wait til the Sunday?

I really enjoyed the last episode. I think that it showed that beneath that calm, controlled exterior Stella is a very empathetic person. Her face was horrified as she saw the news report on Sally Ann. She has such compassion for her and the children, while no one else really seems to care what they are going through. I can't imagine how poor Sally Ann will get through this. Will they really have to charge her with attempted murder of the children?

I was once again frustrated by the way the hospital casually let a suspected serial killer wander about. Once again the nurse spent lots of time deep in one to one conversation with him. I guess the NHS in Belfast must be very well funded if nurses have so long to just chat to patients or stand in doorways gazing at them. Whenever I've been in a hospital the nurses seem to be completely rushed off their feet.

I also can't believe he wasn't in handcuffs until he left the hospital, especially now that he is more or less better. Aren't they afraid he'd attack someone or make a run for it?

If I was a parent of a child on a paediatric ITU ward and found that they'd let a suspected serial killer onto the ward with just a couple of doctors in attendance while my child was sleeping is be furious. Honestly, it's the equivalent of letting the just arrested Yorkshire Ripper onto a ward full of sleeping children. Unthinkable, surely. I'm not surprised that Stella felt she had to check out the psychiatric unit and warn them to be careful. Does anyone except Stella realise just how manipulative and ruthless Spector is. I can't figure out why people aren't more terrified of him knowing what he's accused of and that there's a live witness and a taped confession.

EverySongbirdSays · 22/10/2016 22:35

Is it just me who feels this series just is simply not very good?

Series 1 - BLOODY AMAZING
Series 2 - Good, but marred by the awful Katie storyline
Series 3 - What has ctually happened? A whole lot of nothing.

LadyConstanceDeCoverlet · 22/10/2016 22:44

I think quite a lot has happened - Spector recovering and "losing his memory", his lawyers beginning to work on this defence, Kira the strange nurse, discovering the 2002 killing, Sally Ann's suicide attempt, finding all the other notebooks, Katie running away, Rose's recovery and account of what happened ...

AppleYumYum · 22/10/2016 23:24

I'm really enjoying it, it's slow and not much actual action has happened but slowly more meaning to why he might have become a serial killer is coming out. We're seeing beneath Stella's ice cool silk blouse wearing calm surface. I'm interested to see what the psychologist in the new place makes of him.

Though I do agree just ridiculous about him wandering around the wards not handcuffed and obviously recovered enough now to do a runner or hurt someone. Surely he should have been handcuffed to the bed the whole time with police guards 24/7. The nurse scenes have really got on my nerves, better have a good reason behind it!

Was glad to see that Detective Glen back, I rather fancied him and liked the character, especially that time when he started mirroring Stella and copying her to demonstrate what Paul had been doing to his boss, her puzzled face. I thought that too about it being a slip up asking if he knew him, you tell me indeed!

MyakkaState · 23/10/2016 00:59
  1. There were quite a few references to PS being able to leave his body in tough times. Wonder if this split personality possibility may develop.
  2. I thought there was a spark again in this episode btwn Stella and the broken armed policeman...
  3. Didn't previous series allude to Stella being a victim of something, hence the dream diary?
EmilyDickinson · 23/10/2016 02:10

After Stella dreamt that she was in the bath and Spector tried to drown her she appeared to wake up and an older man came and sat on the side of her bed and then it turned out that that was a dream as she woke up again. (It was all rather like Inception!) Was the older man supposed to be her father? I'm sure that there has been a suggestion before that there was something odd about their relationship

alltoomuchrightnow · 23/10/2016 02:13

Yes I'm sure there are daddy issues.
Also remember how it totally seemed to break her heart when Olivia came to see Ps in
custody in the last series.

hollyisalovelyname · 23/10/2016 11:10

In Stella's dream there was a man opening the curtains. Who was he?
The old lady in the ICU saying You came to see me or words to that effect. Was that alluding to long term family ishoos for Stella. Do we know anything of her backstory?

OP posts:
Maudlinmaud · 23/10/2016 11:19

holly that was her father. She said five more minutes daddy and he called her a pet name but I didn't catch it.
Yes I felt the old lady was significant too.

OlennasWimple · 23/10/2016 13:30

Thing is, I sort of don't care if Stella has daddy issues or a deep family history. I don't need to understand her motivation for the way she acts, because she is more or less awesome (and I'd be really cross if it was implied that she sleeps with people as freely as she does because she wants to be loved because daddy abandoned her or something trite...)

I want to know what happened to Paul / Peter, because he is a psychopath. Presumably Wallender guy is going to feature more, helping to work that out

VashtaNerada · 23/10/2016 13:50

Pretty sure old lady in ICU was just confused, she didn't actually know Stella. I think that scene was just supposed to show her compassionate side, sitting with a stranger even though she was knackered and needed some rest.
The relationship with her father is clearly important to her, the pet name was a play on her name "Stella, my shining star" or something.

user1474221222 · 23/10/2016 15:37

Anyway I've just watched the penultimate episode. Shock

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/10/2016 17:21

Ahhhh at a wedding fri. Won't be able to watch till sat

I still think the nurse has something to do with either police as a dangling carrot

diddl · 24/10/2016 18:13

"Ok RTe just confirmed it's on Friday at 9"
