Although I'm old enough to remember it first time round, I've just ploughed my way through all five series on sky box sets. I'd forgotten how good it was, I'm looking forward to watching the new series when it starts again in the autumn.

You feel very strongly about this!

There are lots of people who do nothing for me but I can see why other people fancy them. Benedict Cumberbatch for example. I'd rather snog my own grandfather but I can see that people like that posh, awkward, odd faced thing he's got going on.

Dozer · 06/09/2016 15:27

To be fair to Pete's ex Jo, the man she cheated with was RICHARD ARMITAGE! Even dressed as sleazy Lee in dodgy sportswear, couldn't really blame her!

Remember an interview with the actor who played Ramona, she had to wear a bikini and film a flirting scene with Lee not v long after having a baby.

Thought the actor playing Matthew was good in last night's episode.

Loved hearing Karen snap "what!?" To David in the old tones! And her workwear in the opening bit, although when you're that slim and look like that good workwear must be easy!

I disagree with PPs: thought all the actors looked good!

Tiggeryoubastard · 06/09/2016 15:28

Nah, just don't like sleazy men. I agree about Cumberbatch, but that's just lack of attraction, not disgust.

Dozer · 06/09/2016 15:30

I wonder if Karen will agree to take David's points and Robyn, given the state of her relationship and annoyance that david still pines for Karen, will report David to the police for it and get them both into trouble. Like Chris Hulme/Vicki Pryce.

Dozer · 06/09/2016 15:31

I reckon the Cold Feet writer must have a sleazy view of men - all the male characters come across as sleazy at times.

SirChenjin · 06/09/2016 15:36

The writer is a bloke - does he write with inside information perhaps? Grin

Squeegle · 06/09/2016 15:39

I suspect that may be accurate sirchenjin!

BabyGanoush · 06/09/2016 15:50

It's funny how their agedness jars...

I guess we have not seen them for 15 years, I am sure if I woke up tomorrow looking 15 years older (i.e. 60 instead of 45) I'd be horrified at the changes too Sad

MitzyLeFrouf · 06/09/2016 15:55

I didn't think they'd aged badly at all. But it's been ages since I've watched Cold Feet and I've seen them all in other things over the years.

Loved Hermione when she was in Spooks. That woman meant business!

Stillwaitingforthesummer2come · 06/09/2016 16:56

I loved it. The boarding school is Bolton grammar irl.

BennyTheBall · 06/09/2016 17:01

James Nesbitt looked a bit odd - he reminded me of David Guest.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 06/09/2016 17:16

It's the dyed black hair.

Cherrypie32 · 06/09/2016 17:49

I can't watch James Nesbitt since he played the murderer dentist in The Secret, he was soooo creepy in that.

MitzyLeFrouf · 06/09/2016 17:51

He was super duper creepy in that.

Tiggeryoubastard · 06/09/2016 17:51

It's Bolton School - my siblings and I went there.

rollonthesummer · 06/09/2016 18:27

Pete's son is called david and was in it a few times, inc hosp scene.

Surely Pete's son was called Adam!

Tiggeryoubastard · 06/09/2016 18:50

Adam (Petes son) was in the very first scene.
But can anyone remind me who is Jennys daughters dad?

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 06/09/2016 19:08

Jenny's daughter's dad was her boss in NY BUT as someone up thread pointed out Adam could be the father she wasn't aware for that long...

Peter son is called Adam not DavidConfusedGrin he was in first scene and hospital scene.

Tiggeryoubastard · 06/09/2016 19:16

Thanks, Dame.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 06/09/2016 19:19

AnneEyhtMeyer · 06/09/2016 20:24

It made me smile reading that article that Angela's real life name is Karen David! Made for the part!

EachandEveryone · 06/09/2016 23:15

I though airbnb woman looked like Lisa Stansfield!

CalmItKermitt · 07/09/2016 08:47

Adam and Jenny never actually slept together did they?!

Diamogs · 07/09/2016 10:32

I think I found the ageing thing most notable as I had binge watched the back catalogue all of last week so the difference was very noticeable as last week they were in their 30s and this week they are in their 40s.

But agree if it was in the US then they would be mega botoxed.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 07/09/2016 11:40

I enjoyed it - nice bit of lighthearted entertainment for a Monday evening.

Whilst personally ambivalent about James Nesbitt, I can appreciate that he would have an appeal to certain women. Even my DH, who could never be described as 'handsome' by any stretch of the imagination, has often (usually hilariously) found himself the subject of female attention, purely by virtue of being Irish. I think the cast seem to just have aged normally but perhaps we're not used to that when so many celebrities/actors appear to defy time and remain youthfully smooth and shiny-looking however many years may pass. DH has always had quite a thing for Hermione Norris and I thought she looked lovely.

As for the children, I heard the writer of CF interviewed on Front Row on R4 the other day and he said that the children will only feature when the storyline calls for it - the plot lines will concentrate very much on the adults and we may rarely see the children, unless the story calls for them
