middleclass they look lovely.
Alas I am working tonight so have set it to record.
I said to DH that I was excited it was on and I was sad I was at work. He said 'oh is it the final then' 🙈

Grin face palm at your DH

My DH is looking forward to benefits of my eat along...

I baked cakes and flapjacks a few days ago but my greedy family have already polished them off! I thought it would be OK to bake more today but it's far too hot to have the oven on and I have run out of eggs - I may have to get dh to bring a cake home from the shop!

I baked a blackberry pie last night, looking forward to sitting down with a slice and a cuppa.

I absolutely adored Holly and James, from seasons 2 and 3.

Fingers crossed you get something in, foxes, great prep teablanket! I struggle watching cooking programmes without having something to pick on.

Looking forward to seeing if we like the same people tonight!

Very exited- I have made some Paul Hollywood scones, to have with some jam & cream to 'eat a long with'.

Just said to DP, 'Do you know what special day today is?' after a delay he relied 'our anniversary?!' Hmm 'No that's December! it's Bake off!' he didn't look all that exited to be honest.

Placemarking. DH is already hoping it may inspire me to bake something.

Probably not, lol.

Counting down the minutes now! DH is out with work and DC's tablets are fully charged, prosecco in the fridge for me ...

Hiya
Just placemarking. I'll need you guys on my virtual sofa as this is the first Bake Off without my D fiancé as he died 6 weeks ago. This was one of the few programmes we watched together i used to force encourage him to watch it with me. Anyway, i don't want to be a party pooper so let's bake!

OK I have some shortbread biscuits which were intended for my grandad birthday yesterday...I'm not seeing him again until probably next week so I could eat them and replace?!

I need something sweet while I watch it!

GhostInTheBackOfYourHead so sorry for your loss. Flowers My dad died four weeks ago and I've been struggling to even think about the books/TV/music/jokes we used to enjoy together, but now I'm determined to reclaim it all.

Ghost and Van sorry about your loss Flowers

I can't wait! One of my favourite bakers was Brendan, he was sooo serious and when he did his penny biscuits or whatever they were called... everyone else was doing all these ingredients in their biscuits and he had butter, flour and sugar and that was it! No fancy stuff for Brendan Grin

My DD runs a competition at her work (so far 18 have signed up) each one is assigned a baker (names out of a hat) and she does a really hilarious email with pictures and comments after each episode, she has a sharp humour! Whichever baker is out the work person has to bring bakes into the office and they all scoff them, great fun Grin She is obsessed by GBBO!

Cake to Ghost, my MIL had exactly the same thing with Casualty after FIL died. She does watch it now though.

I have bought a Double Chocolate Swiss Roll. All the local corner shop had, but it will suffice!

OK must confess, as much as I love to bake I'm more of a savoury girl - I've got stilton. How festive is that?

What time is it on? I know I could turn the TV on and look it up, but then the DC would expect the TV to stay on and I'm trying to get them to bed.
