I think the only reason they do it in summer is so that they can have the 'fete' at the end outdoors. although it sometimes looks a bit cold and windswept anyway

Yy.
I wonder if it'll be indoors now.

This is the perfect pregnancy TV, no alcohol involved, very easy watching and inspiration for what to make when I'm on Mat Leave GrinBrewCake

I love GBBO. I also loved Howard custardgate. But my best moment was Kathryn, 'I can't serve Mary Berry green carpet!'

Lemon
Dd and I still hoot with laughter at that, it was our favourite series.
Does anyone know if there's somewhere I can find out what the theme of each episode is so I can plan food in advance.

The bake off BBC website releases it week by week. It says of the first week:
The group first take on a British classic and are then faced with Mary's technical challenge - a popular little cake with a fatless sponge and tricky chocolate work. Finally, the bakers have the opportunity to show the judges what they can do with their showstopper.

The first weeks are usually cakes/bread/biscuits I think

Report
LemonRedwood · 19/08/2016 09:32

No, sorry, make that cake/biscuits/bread

MiddleClass's link shows the episodes from the previous series and it's been that for the first three weeks for the past few years.

My link is for series 7, this series

IHaveBrilloHair · 19/08/2016 09:59

Thanks, I'll assume it's cakes first then.

SapphireStrange · 19/08/2016 10:06

My system says the first week is cake week.

CAN'T WAIT.

MiddleClass I clicked on episodes at the top and it had all previous series there.

Report
MiddleClassProblem · 19/08/2016 10:40

Yup, because that's a like to previous episodes. The page it's on is this series week one. Only need to click on show more for more under the text for series 7 ep 1. You do t need to click to any other pages...

I know Middle, I was only referring to your link as to where I'd checked my info as to it being cake then biscuits then bread. This is what they've done consistently for a few years.

MiddleClassProblem · 19/08/2016 11:34

Oh ok, I thought you meant it was just old eps and couldn't find the series 7 bit x

Sorry, I didn't explain very clearly in my first post!
