I am largely listening, not watching, because I am making real life cake!

Report
Doublemint · 24/08/2016 20:12

Omg is it just me wondering if one of the contestants is the original "lemon drizzle murderer" off of classics?!?

Report
Trills · 24/08/2016 20:12

Don't put a filling in a drizzle cake. That's not how that works.

RebootYourEngine · 24/08/2016 20:12

Did you see marys face when he mentioned gin Grin

seasidesally · 24/08/2016 20:13

daft ??? maybe but if they have asked or a lemon drizzle how come some arent,or is it used as a base and then they design their own take on it

I do not like Candice.

I can't remember their names. They need name badges like the celebs on masterchef!!

Strange definition of what a drizzle cake is going on here me thinks. Quite like the sound of the G&T cake though.

PurpleDaisies · 24/08/2016 20:14

I'm not keen on a lot of these...too fancy! I agree, what's a filling doing in a drizzle cake?

Report
CrotchetQuaverMinim · 24/08/2016 20:14

they're missing the innuendo and the contestants are almost deliberately feeding lines...

"I like the flavour of a Cox" and something else moments later that I was sure they'd run with, but no.

Page 3 of drizzle cakes... The innuendo begins in earnest Grin

I have KitchenAid envy once again!

I love the scientists. Their baking procedures are so absurd.

I would do the MarsLady lemon drizzle cake if I was competing. Yummiest cake ever!

Report
Raahh · 24/08/2016 20:15

DD1 and I love this. She is the kiss of death though- she likes to draw pictures of the contestants. At least 4 times last year, it was the person who ultimately left.Grin

I miss Tamal, and his syringe method Grin

Why have some of them not done a lemon drizzle cake? Will they be marked down do you think?

One of my nurses is in this series!!! I'm so excited for her!

Not keen on Candice either.
The one I'd love to try is Benjamina's.

HalsallRedux · 24/08/2016 20:16

I'm afraid I'm getting rather irked by the physical jerks woman.

Report
Trills · 24/08/2016 20:16

Or just name on screen every time they are on, yes.

At least for the first few episodes.

Report
Roussette · 24/08/2016 20:16

Not sure about some of these, but my dear old Mum used to do a mean lemon drizzle, it was delicious, all lemony and crusty on the top with sugar and drizzle

alemonypea the brief was a "drizzle cake", not a lemon drizzle cake.

Am so glad this is back, but am slightly confused as to most of their definitions of a drizzle. Am also loosing track of names.

Report
foxessocks · 24/08/2016 20:17

I don't think they have to do lemon drizzle just drizzle
