Ok, like our sister thread for those who have read the books, this is for discussion of Outlander Series 2 but for those who have not read the books and/or don't want any spoilers.

i've given up trying to get it. It's not even on any of the dodgy sites places I usually watch it from. Shame, i could have done with some jamie tonight!

AKAmyself · 02/06/2016 20:29

ARE YE READY FOR DOUGAL?!?!

snozzlemaid · 02/06/2016 20:59

Great pic. I love a 'filthy' Dougal Grin

hudyerwheesht · 02/06/2016 22:07

Always ready for Dougal!

Have you had a look at that clip yet?

Looking for it I came across a few interviews with Graham McTavish, think I'm getting a Dougal crush..Even the dodgy cockney-voiced GM didn't put me off.

snozzlemaid · 02/06/2016 22:20

He is lovely. And wears a kilt so well too.
I would. Wink

Drywhitethanks · 02/06/2016 23:21

Ooh nooooo, much prefer Dougal in a kilt. Just watched him in the Rambo clip.....not sure which was more disturbing, his camp cockney or Sly's weird eyebrows .....Grin

Drywhitethanks · 03/06/2016 17:49

Ive been imagining a Lassies mini bus trips tonthe s so we can stalk the actors while they make season 3 Grin sad,no life Grin

Drywhitethanks · 03/06/2016 17:49

"To the set" gah

MinervaMcG · 03/06/2016 18:11

Oh dear, I find myself joining the thread. I just joined Amazon Prime at the weekend. S1 Ep1 on Tuesday, now DEEP in obsession including audiobook/kindle version for home&car, and am now 7 (?8) episodes in. It's SO addictive and he's SO attractive. Is haunting my dreams and I can barely work.

There's no hope is there. May as well succumb.

TheHiphopopotamus · 03/06/2016 18:16

drywhite that would be amazing! We could make banners and everything

minerva hello and welcome! You've definitely found your spiritual home on 'ere, love, there's no hope for any of us. I'm planning on going cold turkey when S2 ends Confused

MinervaMcG · 03/06/2016 18:19

I don't want to think about when S2 ends.

AKAmyself · 03/06/2016 18:59

Drywhite I was just saying on the other thread that I finally convinced DH to take a mini break to the scottish highlands in september! We live in Europe so it is a wee bit insane but am actively googling flights to inverness in the hope they'll have started filming by then.

Any recs of places to stay?

Welcome, MInerva. You're among friends here :)

snozzlemaid · 03/06/2016 19:32

I'd love to do a trip to visit the sets and filming. One hell of a trip for me from Cornwall though.
Welcome Minerva. It sucks you right in, doesn't it? Complete obsession in no time at all.

Drywhitethanks · 03/06/2016 20:49

Minerva you're so luck being able to watch it all fresh again ..... Welcome to the place where you can just talk insessantly about Outlander Smile

Aka I stayed on the banks of Loch Ness not far from Uquart (sp?) castle October 2014......I wish id known about Outlander then, bet they were filming too.......so beautiful up there.

Ok road trip....yup for banners, and we could all wear the home knitting who was making it? .... Actually loved seeing Clare with her knits and wrist warmers back on last week and Jamie's knees

So I've finished Vikings. Am a bit bereft. What I need is to revisit Jamie, I've missed him. Hmm now which episode?

Here's a question......which scene is your fav so far?

Drywhitethanks · 03/06/2016 20:52

Oh...and I was out for coffee with 3 friends today. Managed to get onto tv shows they're all gritty crime fans, think The Bridge etc
I said I'd been watching O, incredible etc.
They asked what it was about :
"Well it's this woman who time travels back to 18c Scotland....."
Cue glazed expressions, they just smiled as if I'd completely lost it Grin

hudyerwheesht · 03/06/2016 21:52

I want to be on the fun bus! I'm already thinking about trying to tie in my next visit home with when they may be filming..

Welcome minerva, you're in good company!

My favourite scene...hmm, going to have to give that some thought.

TheHiphopopotamus · 03/06/2016 21:57

I have a few favourite scenes. Apart from the obvious ones, I loved when he burst into the courtroom shouting about 'my wife!' and saved Claire from being burnt as a witch. Made my knees go weak, that did Confused

Drywhitethanks · 03/06/2016 22:24

Posdible spoilers for anyone who isn't up to date with both seasons

By the river in episode 9, season 1. Great stuff.
Loved the Honeypot scene ....Jamie's face was hilarious!
The scene by the fire before he takes her to the stones in season 1.......then when he takes her to the stones so sad .....then when she comes back "on your feet soldier!"
When J came in through the window and said "get your hand off my wife" to BJR.
When he talks to the baby in her tummy...cute

Damn I'm going to have to rewatch

Drywhitethanks · 03/06/2016 22:33

Oh my goodness...just started a secret heroes board on Pin....there are some lovely pics on there

snozzlemaid · 04/06/2016 00:57

I love it when he says about her arse between his thighs on that long horse ride just after they met.
So many scenes to choose from though.

JessieMcJessie · 04/06/2016 07:13

Just dropping in to say that not only does my DH watch with me, he was the one who SUGGESTED we watch it in the first place Smile. I had never heard of it.

Oh God, he's gay isn't he?

snozzlemaid · 04/06/2016 08:58

I've been rewatching season one with dp. He's really enjoying it thankfully. We both enjoyed episode 7 last night Wink

Jane054848 · 04/06/2016 16:42

I can't decide on a favourite scene but my favourite line is when she asks has he never seen a naked woman before and he says "I have - but not one so close - and not one that's mine".

Other favourite scenes - when she tells him she's pregnant on the ship and his lovely smile - the argument after he rescues her from BJR - and the scene where he is trying to explain how being bitten by prostitutes was really a good thing.

Jessie I don't think your husband is gay. Claire is also naked a fair bit. (Plus exciting plot etc etc).

hudyerwheesht · 04/06/2016 21:16

What's a secret heroes board drywhite?

I like the scene when he talks about their wedding day and how she looked was like the sun coming out on a cloudy day, etc.
And also when he says he wanted her from the first time he saw her but he loved her that night she cried in his arms.
