Ok, like our sister thread for those who have read the books, this is for discussion of Outlander Series 2 but for those who have not read the books and/or don't want any spoilers.

Love this bts photo that SH put on twitter earlier.

He asked "how many crew does it take to remove a french boot?"
That's a nice job to have.

hudyerwheesht · 01/06/2016 11:19

That reminds me, my DH spotted the actor playing Dougal as someone he had just watched in a film, but he said he had an English accent.

I thought he must have it wrong so he showed me and sure enough, there was Graham McTavish - clean shaven with a cockney accent.
It was all kinds of wrong.

hud I thought he might like it as he did enjoy watching Poldark with me. I'm looking forward to snuggling up and watching episode 7 together Wink

Drywhitethanks · 01/06/2016 15:33

Hudyer Dougal a cockney Shock surely not? ..... And I'd advise you to watch more of Vikings, Rollo gets better and better, but I agree I don't like the second wife either.

The trailer for the Scottish part made me all nervous.

snozzlemaid · 01/06/2016 19:06

Seasons 3 & 4 have been confirmed by Starz on twitter!

TheHiphopopotamus · 01/06/2016 19:08

Hurrah!! snozzle that's brilliant news! Was beginning to think we weren't getting anymore. Phew! Grin

hudyerwheesht · 01/06/2016 19:43

Yes! Two more series!

It made me nervous too, drywhite.

Dougal with cockney accent was most bizarre, like it had been dubbed over! I couldn't cope with it and was all 'argh, make it stop!'
It was Creed with Sylvester Stallone in it, I'll try to find a suitable clip...

OP posts:
hudyerwheesht · 01/06/2016 20:12

Wasn't Creed(which he's also in, to confuse things) but Rambo:

Hudyer tbh I'm in a constantly stressed state between Iutlander, GoT and Vikings....need to detox and get a bit of love in my viewing Smile .....
Spoke to DS's Scottish friend today, said I was going to run off to the Hughlands and find myself a man in a kilt...he was Confused.....Grin

Drywhitethanks · 01/06/2016 21:56

Sorry, rubbish typing, on phone

Drywhitethanks · 01/06/2016 21:57

And YIPEE to season 3 and 4 Grin

TheHiphopopotamus · 02/06/2016 08:45

Just seen on Twitter that the Ep9 is going to be available earlier for anyone who watches it on Prime.

snozzlemaid · 02/06/2016 09:14

Ooh. That's good news Hip.
I saw that it's available now on the Starz app but we can't get that here in the UK.
I'll keep any eye out for it on Prime.

Drywhitethanks · 02/06/2016 09:49

Great! But why?

Verbena37 · 02/06/2016 09:52

When on Prime?

TheHiphopopotamus · 02/06/2016 09:56

I think it's in 'celebration' of the fact that Starz have renewed it for S3 & 4, they're calling it World Outlander Day on Twitter Hmm

Not sure how Starz works exactly, but it's a subscription service and they're trying to draw more people in. I think Outlander has done amazingly well for them. A few people have asked if it will available early for Prime as well, and they said yes, some I'm not knocking it Grin I've really missed binge watching it this series though.

TheHiphopopotamus · 02/06/2016 09:58

Doesn't say when, though but hopefully some time today.

Lassies of Lallybroch - NO SPOILERS
Drywhitethanks · 02/06/2016 15:40

Hiphop I think watching one episode a week as opposed to binge watching series 1 has definitely effected my enjoyment of the new series.
world Outlander day?Hmm really?Grin .....I'm going to have a couple of those during the summer hols

snozzlemaid · 02/06/2016 17:34

Yesterday was World Outlander Day because it was 25 years since the first book was published.
Starz used this day to announce confirmation of the next two series and give us the next episode early.

Verbena37 · 02/06/2016 18:33

So Starz Twitter feed says people can get the Starz App to see Epi 9. Doesn't mention Amazon Sad so not sure if Prime are also showing it?

TheHiphopopotamus · 02/06/2016 18:37

verbena they did say to someone last night that it would be available earlier on Prime also, but I'm wondering now wether they meant the US site? Hasn't shown up in the UK yet Sad

Verbena37 · 02/06/2016 18:47

Hmm. Bummer.

hudyerwheesht · 02/06/2016 18:51

I checked Prime earlier, it's not on there. Starz own site seems to be the only place you can get it early. Sad

TheHiphopopotamus · 02/06/2016 18:59

Bit rubbish, innit. I half wish they'd waited and released them all in one go. Not that I haven't enjoyed the Lassies weekly discussions of course Wink but I watched S1 all in one go and I think I preferred that.
