(After our antenatal thread became somewhat hijacked with talk of Doctor Who)

Hello,

My name's (usually) MsMoss and I've been a Doctor Who Geek for over twenty years now. I grew up with McCoy, stood by it through its years in the wilderness and now watch, proud but slightly bemused, as it is no longer shameful to admit you're a fan.

Anyone else with me? You love the new series but don't want the old to be forgotten?

Join me, stand up and be counted!

MrsWho I'm fine... probably going to be induced on Tuesday night, hey if you have any positive induction stories please go and post on my thread (in childbirth)!!!

MrsWho · 08/04/2007 19:55

Well only know one person who was induced and her baby was born the next day if that counts? You could be out by Saturday then!
Don't forget all feeds must be finished by 7.00 in time for an hours sleep while dr Who is on!

Mossie · 08/04/2007 20:10

Well, I've already managed two more episodes of the new series than I thought I would!! I'm hoping though that if I go in on Tuesday I'll be out well before Saturday for number three...

Yes sod any of those routines in books and the like, I'll work his feeding / sleeping routines around Doctor Who and of course John Barrowman's punishing schedule

Have to admit, it is on now on BBC3 with the commentary... but I prefer watching the actual episode again, I really enjoyed it!!

MrsWho · 08/04/2007 20:22

I am watching it again too!
But if baby had come on time you'd have missed all the Tv interviews etc.

MrsWho · 09/04/2007 22:49

Mossie-Good luck for tomorrow!

MrsWho · 09/04/2007 23:15

munz · 10/04/2007 22:01

hello, guys I feel I belong here now! lol. i'm finding DT v v sexy! lol - feel a bit traitorist to CW thou as I didn't want him to leave/want DT to be the dr.

not sure on the new assistant - althou I liked billie pipper in it (rather surprised me she did)

is DT staying in after this series dow anyone know?

MrsWho · 10/04/2007 22:40

AFAIK - He is staying, think he loves it, he has admitted to being a DR Who fanboy and seems to enjoy all the extra stuff as well as fitting in other projects.Hopefully here for a while yet, would be nice to have a series without comings and goings.

I am looking forward to the face of Boe on Sat!

UnquietDad · 11/04/2007 09:28

If Watford hold Man United on Saturday (i.e if it goes to extra time) then Who could be delayed a week.

MrsWho · 11/04/2007 11:04

Don't upset me!

I think they should stop the football coverage and tell everyone to switch over to bbc2 for it as Dr Who is more inportant!

munz · 11/04/2007 11:11

WHAT!!!!!! I will be writng to points of view if they do that - yes i'm that sad! lol.

who cares about bloody footie - i'm glad DT is staying as I say v v ahem nicedreams about him of late I think it's the eyes

MrsWho · 11/04/2007 11:17

Not the tight suits then Munz?

munz · 11/04/2007 11:19

ooh erm yes ahem I forgot about those hmmm he's yummy! lol. and to think I didn't want him to be the dr and was heart broken when CE announced he was leaving lol.

MrsWho · 11/04/2007 11:21

Me too

UnquietDad · 11/04/2007 11:33

It's on at 7.40pm as it is - if there is extra time it appears there is nothing else they can delay. It'll screw an awful lot of things up, though - the Totallys, the Confidentials, the planned Dalek cover for the RT...

Mind you, I gather Man Utd have just beaten someone 7-0, so it's unlikely that Watford will hold them to extra time... we hope...

MrsWho · 11/04/2007 12:40

Thats why I can't see them cancelling it, they seem to have to do it that week
CANCEL the football , its the only thing for it!

lemonaid · 11/04/2007 12:42

Is Saturday's episode repeated at any point (and if so, do you know when and where)? Sky+ failed to record it for us.

UnquietDad · 11/04/2007 12:43

Yup, 9pm Friday BBC3

lemonaid · 11/04/2007 12:45

Marvellous! Thank you.

MrsWho · 11/04/2007 23:08

MOssie has had her baby -Congrats Mossie and hope you are home for Saturday

Bobsdad · 11/04/2007 23:55

cough bittorrent cough

I don't normally advocate the sharing of warez but in the case of BBC stuff we have all paid for anyway, and which we can tape at will, or borrow a tape if we forgot to record it ...

We managed to miss 2 eps of Life on Mars the other week thanks to a dodgy VCR but we got to see them anyway. ;)

If you miss the prog and all its repeats, download the Azureus program for Bittorrent and away you go.

lemonaid · 12/04/2007 00:42

Hypothetically someone who missed that particular episode might have been having trouble downloading from their usual bittorrent site and hence have taken until Tuesday to think that they might have to actually wait for the repeat.

But, hypothetically they might now have found another site that works well.

UnquietDad · 12/04/2007 10:36

Oh, congrats to Mossie. Boy or girl? Her offspring's "birth Who story" will be "Gridlock". Mine was "The War Games"!

Bobsdad · 12/04/2007 12:15

Good grief, I didn't realise our kids were supposed to have a patron Who episode! In which case our DD's is The Parting of the Ways. Possibly the most inconvenient time Bobsmum could possibly have gone into labour. I was timing contractions while the Doctor was battling the Daleks.

Our son was born during the interregnum, however, and I can't bring myself to find out which of the navel-gazing spin-off novels was published closest to his birthday.

bobsmum · 12/04/2007 12:22

OI - you! Get back to work! Gerroff my forum
