(After our antenatal thread became somewhat hijacked with talk of Doctor Who)

Hello,

My name's (usually) MsMoss and I've been a Doctor Who Geek for over twenty years now. I grew up with McCoy, stood by it through its years in the wilderness and now watch, proud but slightly bemused, as it is no longer shameful to admit you're a fan.

Anyone else with me? You love the new series but don't want the old to be forgotten?

Join me, stand up and be counted!

I was shouting "yes, yes, YES!" and thumping the arm of the sofa so much at the end of that episode that I think the neighbours thought I was having sex!

DD said "Oh mummy, you're such a baby".

Fubsy · 16/06/2007 20:24

Tissue Compression what? Did I miss that when DD was asking why Dr is a time Lord but Jack isnt?

Pixel · 16/06/2007 20:24

That was exciting! But The Master is the baddie and how can I hate him when John Simm has such a lovely smile?

beansprout · 16/06/2007 20:25

I think I could forgive John Simm anything, so next week is going to be a bit odd.

MrsWho · 16/06/2007 20:26

I think JS can look quite spooky in the clip with the grin.

Martha recognised the voice at the end too didn't she!

Do you think they use Jacks wrist thing to get to earth?

And who is the face of Boe?

Fubsy · 16/06/2007 20:27

And that, Pixel and beansprout, is why the next 2 episodes are going to be so good!

Pixel · 16/06/2007 20:27

Jack's wrist thing has burnt out he said.

Macdog · 16/06/2007 20:27

WOW WOW WOW WOW

Am loving this series of Dr Who.
Just keeps getting better and better

RedTartanLass · 16/06/2007 20:28

Compression Eliminator

MrsWho · 16/06/2007 20:28

Jb and Dt are such fan-boys too its great watching them on Dr Who confidential!

Fubsy · 16/06/2007 20:28

RTD has just said we havent seen the last of the face of Boe!

MrsWho · 16/06/2007 20:29

Link doesn't work

and the doctor can fix it surely?

Aitch · 16/06/2007 20:29

pah! sonic screwdrivers are so over. laser screwdrivers, they're the thing.

turquoise · 16/06/2007 20:29

Quite so. The Master returning would be quite exciting - John Simm is Something Else.

foxinsocks · 16/06/2007 20:31

Aitch, does Russell T write the rest of the series?

MrsWho · 16/06/2007 20:31

OG keeps crashing!

Pixel · 16/06/2007 20:31

Is it possible to swoon to death? If so I'll be in trouble!

MrsWho · 16/06/2007 20:33

new thread before this gets too full!

Aitch · 16/06/2007 20:34

i thought... and i could be wrong, that next week's ep is the last one. it certainly felt like a last one, iykwim? but i thought the family one felt like that too so what do i know? anyway, RTD writes the next one, and it is frickin' hi-larious.

MrsWho · 16/06/2007 20:36

RTD is great his stories separatly can be a bit but they always link

foxinsocks · 16/06/2007 20:37

oh good. I love that side to it. I can see on digital spy that plenty of the more serious Dr WHo fans don't like his writing but I've always enjoyed his episodes. Some of the other writers do drama quite well but none do the humour bit as well as he does, that's for sure!

(2 episodes left - The SOund of Drums and Last of the TIme Lords)

Fubsy · 16/06/2007 20:39

Oh serious shmerious! Why cant it be fun?

Aitch · 16/06/2007 20:43

and you'd better believe that John Sim Gives It Loads as the master.LUH-oads.
cool that there are two episodes left, that's exciting!

MrsWho · 16/06/2007 20:49

new thread

AttilaTheMum · 16/06/2007 20:51

The master took the Doctor's hand on the Tardis, so if they can fix Jack's Doctor tracker, they can find him - does it carry three though?
