(After our antenatal thread became somewhat hijacked with talk of Doctor Who)

Hello,

My name's (usually) MsMoss and I've been a Doctor Who Geek for over twenty years now. I grew up with McCoy, stood by it through its years in the wilderness and now watch, proud but slightly bemused, as it is no longer shameful to admit you're a fan.

Anyone else with me? You love the new series but don't want the old to be forgotten?

Join me, stand up and be counted!

I loved every second of it, fastest 45 minutes I've had for a long time! I love Martha already, I think Freema is so down to earth, in fact everyone on the show seems so normal and un-starry. DT was, as ever, brilliant (how much did i enjoy the frantic hair ruffling and running around in bare feet!)

can't wait for next week, or the one after that, or the one after that.........

I realised, whilst watching this ep and laughing at all the in-jokes, that I have become SUCH a Doctor Who geek. And I'm proud of it!

Mossie · 01/04/2007 10:27

Oh wasn't it excellent? Yes, Billie who?

So fickle aren't we?

Yes I get the feeling Martha will stand up to the Doctor a bit more...

...and those "Vote Saxon" posters, and the reference to Mr Saxon... I think John Simms is this year's Bad Wolf!

Although it didn't send me into labour.

UnquietDad · 01/04/2007 10:48

So Saxon is still in Opposition at this time - and yet he gave the order for the tank to destroy the Rachnoss in the Christmas episode?

JackieNo · 01/04/2007 10:49

Just because there are 'vote Saxon' posters, doesn't necessarily mean he's in opposition, just that there's an election coming up, doesn't it?

UnquietDad · 01/04/2007 10:57

ah, but there is this!

UnquietDad · 01/04/2007 11:13

And while I'm in linky mode - have we all seen

this?

JackieNo · 01/04/2007 11:55

Ah - I see. And can I just say, about Mr Saxon, phwoarrr. (sorry).

nikkie · 01/04/2007 13:56

Mossie -we did think you'd gone!

UQD-That was hilarious on Deadringers!

Have also read 'blood' may be a running theme this year too so have to look out for that!

Wasn't the drinking blood through a straw funny though!

nikkie · 01/04/2007 14:07

Saxon with that grin though

Did anyone notice last night
'do you have a brother?'
'not anymore'
Hope I am doing 2+2=5 don't want to be right!

Mossie · 01/04/2007 15:23

Oh I loved those spin-off web sites last series! Will have to have a proper explore and see what I can pick up!!

Nikkie... yes I did notice that, you're not thinking they're going to try and make Saxon his brother or something like that are you?

That Dead Ringers sketch is funny!!

JackieNo can't see the attraction with John Simms... he just looks a bit too much like Frank Skinner for me!!

nikkie · 01/04/2007 19:32

Mossie-thinking it may be even worse than that!

HAve you seen the forums on the Saxon site?
I've loads of fake sites saved on my favourites, Guinevere 1, UNIT,MArtha my space, and Who is the Doctor?
Anyone got any others?

nikkie · 02/04/2007 13:35

news

JackieNo · 02/04/2007 13:38

nikkie - love it!

Mossie · 02/04/2007 16:10

Nikkie lol where do you find these things?

I used to have the Bad Wolf spin off site on my favourites, also the Cybus Industries one, in addition to some of the ones you mentioned.

So which others are there this time?

MrsWho · 02/04/2007 22:27

Outpost gallifrey! Never have time to post but read all the gossip!
Got 2 Lazarous (sp?) links too but not confinced that they aren't real (no discalimers anywhere obvious anyway)

SueBaroo · 02/04/2007 23:00

OG is the bain of my life. I love love love it. But it sucks me in and steals hours from me.
Still, with screencaps of DT aplenty, I think I'll live with my addiction. I'm so glad I didn't watch DW in the same way when I was younger. Screencaps of Sylvester McCoy aren't quite as appealing...

MrsWho · 02/04/2007 23:05

NOt quite the same attraction was he!

Between here and OG I have no time in the evenings!

MrsWho · 03/04/2007 20:41

The Plasmavore also made alot of ominous comments too, can't remember off hand, will have to watch again

MrsWho · 03/04/2007 20:42
