(After our antenatal thread became somewhat hijacked with talk of Doctor Who)

Hello,

My name's (usually) MsMoss and I've been a Doctor Who Geek for over twenty years now. I grew up with McCoy, stood by it through its years in the wilderness and now watch, proud but slightly bemused, as it is no longer shameful to admit you're a fan.

Anyone else with me? You love the new series but don't want the old to be forgotten?

Join me, stand up and be counted!

Erm, yes, but I wouldn't like to post spoilers unless that's allowed. I'm kind of sorry I know, because it is rather cool, and I wish I'd had the surprise now.

Fubsychicksnbunnies · 29/03/2007 11:37

Dont worry, I think Ive worked it out myself now, and Im just excited to see if Im right

nikkie · 29/03/2007 19:43

I'm excited to see if I'm right

nikkie · 29/03/2007 22:10

The TARDIS is flat packed!
According to DT on Graham Norton

SueBaroo · 29/03/2007 22:53

Does it normally travel by Forklift, though? pmsl.

nikkie · 29/03/2007 22:58

Dt is switching on Balckpool lights!

Mossie · 30/03/2007 07:55

Oh get in! I'll be there then I think!

Hey if the Tardis comes in a flat pack... do you think I could get one in Ikea?

UnquietDad · 30/03/2007 10:57

"Easy assembly, only one sonic screwdriver with Philips head required"!

Mossie · 30/03/2007 11:20

Pmsl! Although surely with it being Ikea it would be a Sonic Allen Key?

UnquietDad · 30/03/2007 11:44

There's an article in today's Times here by Caitlin Moran, famous in this parish!

Be aware that it does reveal the name of John Simm's character.

UnquietDad · 30/03/2007 15:21

WATCH THE BIG TRAILER

And then watch it again
and again

How good is THAT??!

Mossie · 30/03/2007 15:24

Oooooooooh exciting!!!!!!

Will watch it again now!

Thanks for your friend's article too btw!

Don't forget ('cos I nearly did) it's the Weakest Link Doctor Who special tonight at half past eight!

SueBaroo · 30/03/2007 15:42

It's a real joy, that trailer. You can watch 72 times through and it never gets dull.

Not that I have, or anything...

UnquietDad · 30/03/2007 17:06

I meant she is famous in the parish of mumsnet, not known to me personally!

nikkie · 30/03/2007 17:44

Anyone see RTD on Richard and Judy or Freema on Newsround or John Barrrowman or breakfast tv or freema on radio 5 this am or..........
Busy people!

In you are on digital/sky press the red button on bbc , fab Dr who trailer!!!!!!!!
John Simm looks creepy!

I am VERY excited and am having to tape tomorrows as am at a Party (how rude would it be to go 3 hours late?????)

Fubsychicksnbunnies · 30/03/2007 21:15

The bit in the BBC trailer where they sandwich The Dr and Martha's faces together -

Looks like a dodgy 80s pop star!

Mossie · 30/03/2007 22:04

Nikkie sod the party. I've delayed my labour especially so I can watch it.

UnquietDad thought you meant she was another one of your "contacts"! I had never heard of her before I'm afraid! Unless she was the one with the floating walnut shelf?

I saw JB on BBC breakfast this morning, didn't see the others. Busy aren't they, you'd think they had a programme to promote or something!

Yes saw that trailer and I do kwym actually!

Anyone watch The Weakest Link? Pmsl that DT didn't know the capital of Denmark!

Fubsychicksnbunnies · 30/03/2007 22:14

Still hanging on to that baby Mossie?

Mossie · 30/03/2007 22:17

Yep, he's only three days over though. Still plenty of time before they start threatening me with pessaries! Who knows I might even get to watch this week's and next week's episode before I pop!!

Fubsychicksnbunnies · 30/03/2007 22:29

DD was finally born 16 days after her due date. She still hasnt forgiven me for making her "younger" than her three best friends (all born in the same week!)

nikkie · 30/03/2007 22:52

Just watched JB on Charlotte Church, was at a party earlier so am going to watch weaakest link now!

Mossie · 31/03/2007 11:44

I saw Weakest Link last night, I couldn't believe DT didn't know what the capital of Denmark was! Has it put me off him at all?

Nah, I'll let him off.

RTD was on Jonathan Ross this morning, and he's on Loose Ends later on; they really are getting about a bit!

I'm very excited about this evening!!

nikkie · 31/03/2007 13:37

I thought weakest link was funny!Bet they all have a laugh on set!

UnquietDad · 31/03/2007 23:37

Good, wasn't it?

Billie who?

nikkie · 01/04/2007 09:22

Still went to the party but taped on video and dvd (incase it didn't work) and watched it when I got homee and again now!
Liked Martha from the start (but have seen Freema on TV and she always seemed nice so that always helps)
Like the way she stands up to him!
'We might die'
'We might not!'
