My life just exponentially improved today after i started following a couple of Sam Heughan fan accounts on Instagram. JS.

Oh I'm really enjoying spoiling reading the Scotish part of Dragonfly in Amber. Think SH has caught Jamie so well. Claire is great too.

And oddly today was driving through town and saw a kilted gentleman taking a stroll.....unfortunately nothing like Jamie though

the DDs laugh at me watching "hot men in kilts" and can't see the attraction . The I realised that their only RL experiences of men in kilts are DH, and my dad and brother. And none of those look like any of the Outlander cast .

I've only finished season one but I am obsessed.

Just joining this thread having watched season 1 and what I can of season 2 in the last week. Have resorted to googling for ugly pics of Sam to try not fancy him so much! Actually not ugly, just not in Jamie Fraser mode. In real life he looks a lot like Alfie Allen who is Theon in GoT i think, and i hate that charactor so that kinda works!

wibble I've done the same! And luckily, I don't fancy him at all when he's out of character, which is bizarre but shows how good of an actor he is, I suppose.

In fact, I had to stop looking at pics of SH from before he got the part of Jamie, as it was actively putting me off Outlander. (And I can't stand Alfie Allen as Theon either ) But if you need anymore help, just look at comparison pics upthread of SH and Henry off Neighbours

yh thats not a great comparison but i can blank out Henry when I see Jamie :D Its his voice as well. I live in Scotland and no one speaks like that cost its 2016 not 1746 but hes made me really lust over it!

I love the voice. I went to uni with a highlander who spoke just like that. His accent was incredible and when he spoke Gaelic, it was enough to make you go up in a blue lau.
Luckily, my DD appreciates a hot man in a kilt much more than your average 16 year old. I feel less of a failure as a parent because of it.

The way he says 'Sassenach' does it for me.

Just think J and C are so romantic. When I started watching season 1 my first thought was that it was cheesy,cliched chick flick, but actually got totally sucked in and thought it was beautiful, brilliant, well acted and well written on the whole. Which is why I'm just willing them to have a happy ending so much....I'm fed up with the lack of happy endings in GoT.
