Thank you - you're verra kind lass Wink

Drywhitethanks · 19/04/2016 20:23

Righto, Red thank you. Can I skip book 1 and go straight to book 2 don't think I can face Wentworth again

Redglitter · 19/04/2016 20:24

If you've seen season 1 you can just start with Dragonfly in Amber

Fiderer · 19/04/2016 20:31

Thanks Red

I'm skipping Wentworth as well.

hudyerwheesht · 19/04/2016 20:38

Ach, darn, I'm too late. Ironically because I've had my head in the brick-sized paperback of book 1 that I've been lugging around.
Ah well...

I'm not skipping it, in fact I'm loving the extra detail. May have to skim over Wentworth prison though, admittedly.

Fiderer · 20/04/2016 06:49

I've been reading about the Jacobite Rebellion & France's role.

Must admit I far prefer the TV version to be more Scotland, kilts & mud than the French courts, chandeliers & bizarre dresses.

Drywhitethanks · 20/04/2016 07:47

Saw an interview with SH Last night doing my research see grin where he said thepart in France is supposed to be unsettling because it's a tricky time for C and J, I get that. Clever I suppose. you'll be glad to her his hair looked great, back to natural colour--

I've been doing similar research Dry Grin.
I know I'm obsessed when I start searching on YouTube and googling images!

pixieg1rl · 20/04/2016 08:16

I've just given in and gone all teenage fan girl. I have a tumblr where I repost slomo gifs of Jamie Grin

hudyerwheesht · 20/04/2016 09:50

You aren't properly obsessed until you have subscribed to the Starz Youtube channel and watched all of the some video clips.

Grin
Drywhitethanks · 20/04/2016 12:18

Or liked the outlander FB page! or had a peek at SH's rather disappointing page

Drywhite only one fb page? Haha! Amateur Wink

Avoid the one with 57k members

Drywhitethanks · 20/04/2016 16:55

Am feeling worried about this week's episode....

Actually watching some interviews on YouTube made me cringe, especially the giddy US ones. Actually feel sorry that the actors have to go through that although they look like they're having a laugh. TM looks a bit baffled. They must get bored answering the same stupid questions all the time. unlike the questions I'd ask of course Grin

Just going to leave a link to the Outlander Kitchen in case any of you love your food as much as your kilted highlanders Wink

I've made a few of the earlier recipes from here and they're all lovely.

OohMavis · 20/04/2016 17:16

Oh but should add they make recipes from the books and occasionally quote from them, so spoiler alert.

Ahh, you mentioned my favourite clip (well one of them), Dry. It's my love of textiles honest

hudyerwheesht · 20/04/2016 20:08

Ahh the kilt deleted scene! I remember it from the S1 thread. Someone said "the man can fill a kilt" Wink

drywhite have you watched the Gaelic tutorial ones? I can remember if I said it on this thread or the first but I can highly recommend the one with SH saying "sassenach"

Drywhitethanks · 20/04/2016 20:39

Uuummmm yeeeesssssss Hudyer I think I've seen that one too. Blush

anyone seen SH in anything else?

I'm watching "Being human" at the mo, catching up on a bit Aiden, taking my mind off the trauma of Outlander Smile

Can someone explain/translate what Jamie says to Claire when he hugs her before she leaves him with Randal at Wentworth....."I love you ...?" Sounds like 'ma mine' or something. It's bothering me. There are lots of Gaelic terms of endearment he uses that are quite sweet.
