I only watched Season One once it was over (in a mammoth four day so session), but I understand that it was actually released with a three month hiatus in the middle.
Hope they aren't planning the same for season two

hudyerwheesht · 15/04/2016 19:20

Oh yes, I watched that. And I've seen him in the kilt/leather jacket combo a few times. I'm quite partial to it, myself. Wink

Yes, thank god it's hear to keep us going till Poldark returns.

Drywhitethanks · 15/04/2016 19:25

THREE MONTH HIATUS Shock nooooooooooooo

Alison that's how I watched season 1 last week and again this week, best bits only. Fav episode is 9 "the Reckoning" I think it's a pivotal moment for Jamie, starts to grow up a bit and some fabulous acting by the river by both of them. You can tell he especially has a theatre background. Brilliant stuff damn may need to watch again

I have a horrible feeling in might alisonwunderland as there seemed to be a bit of a break in filming s2 with online talk of them filming the "second half" only a few months ago whereas they started in Autumn last year, suggesting there was a break in between.

Drywhitethanks · 15/04/2016 19:28

phew

Excellent!
Season 2 seems worlds away from season one, more silk less knitting

ValiaH · 15/04/2016 19:56

Phew! That's a relief- I had forgotten about the season gap last time, it was only about 3 weeks for me as I came across it after the first half had finished. Haven't started watching Poldark- is it in the same vein as Outlander? And worth watching?

ValiaH · 15/04/2016 19:57

Alison it does feel different doesn't it? Sort of neater and faster in the way it's introducing the storylines as well.

SenecaFalls · 15/04/2016 20:04

I just realized that the new version of the theme song is actually partly sung in French. I really need to pay closer attention.

Drywhitethanks · 15/04/2016 20:14

Can someone link the new version again please I'm lazy

Valia Poldark is lovely, same time, romantic, gorgeous couple but, in comparison can't believe I'm going to say this a bit low budget and the writing/acting isn't as good. I adore Aiden Turner, such a funny man IRL .Similar types of shows though appealing to similar audience, beautiful scenery, wonderful soundtrack.

And I don't think id have coped seeing him in sex scenes like those in Outlander.

Actually no need to link sound track....have it on Amazon duh

Dry, I have to agree with the kilt worn with boots rather than the lace up shoes. I noticed that the modern keep lots seem to have an external pocket. The leather jacket goes nicely too

Ooh thanks for that Pixie lovely, not sure about the pockets though.

Excited to find an outlander thread, especially one that explains why Jamie was looking so ropey - I was baffled.

Hiphop, do you know what time it starts on Amazon tonight? I'm out all day Sunday and watching it in the early hours tonight seems more feasible than waiting til Monday. ... Esp if Jamie is going to be in his lush court get up. Mmm.

In defence of the later books - while not of course without tosh i still love them and the main characters are great. You just have to skip over some of the duller subplots.

TheHiphopopotamus · 16/04/2016 18:49

Welcome to the thread Jane it's so weird about his hair Confused

Not sure what time it goes onto Prime exactly, I think someone either upthread or elsewhere said it might be mid morning-ish, so not until about ten, unfortunately. And it comes on the app quicker than onto Firestick too.

Redglitter · 16/04/2016 18:52

Season 1 came onto Amazon and the firestick just after midnight. Last week it was late morning let's hope they go back to midnight ish

Cerseirys · 16/04/2016 19:26

I watched it at around 7am last Sunday.
