And who is ta hubby. I said before but She always wears a wedding ring but took it off when went to visit and crawl over the table

drspouse · 20/02/2016 19:07

Gruntled they'd run out of safe houses, because there were so many trafficked women.

Also in loads of police dramas the police go to the funeral to see who turns up and who talks to who... it seems like one of those things that low lifes can't resist "but she was my cousin's step grandmother... she loved me like a mum..."

Gruach · 20/02/2016 19:14

Ah - is that why Cucumber detective was at the funeral?

GruntledOne · 21/02/2016 14:19

But surely if they've run out of safe houses in the immediate locality they just look further afield, or book her into a hotel or something? I just can't understand why they'd send her back to where the traffickers can track her down and where it would be not only her in danger but also Winnie.

drspouse · 21/02/2016 16:20

They did send some further away, and with no English she'd be a liability in a hotel, but as such a crucial witness I agree she has a particular need for a safe house.

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/02/2016 16:24

Yes they said she was silly to take home And give to neighbour in the police station yet send her back there Hmm

CreepingDogFart · 21/02/2016 17:30

I think that because Helen was a drugs counsellor and had dealings with the guy that Gallagher fired in Ep1..I think the fired guy has history with Tommy as Tommy was a drug dealer. So maybe he is the killer who is sexually assaulting women? And why he preyed on Tommy's mum, who has history as a prostitute. If the fired guy has history with Tommy then he may also have links with Becky the daughter...

Re house layout. The conservatory is at the back across the kitchen. Outside from this is the yard with a gate into another street. It's how they were built rather than backing on to another garden. Often the 'back' streets were narrower and sometimes they could be cul-de-sacs even if the actual street wasn't. They allowed horse and cart access and the men all left that way in the morning to go to the pit to avoid dirtying the front step.

southeastdweller · 23/02/2016 07:40

The TV reviewer in the Radio Times says tonight's episode is the 'most beautifully constructed yet'.

MorrisZapp · 23/02/2016 11:34

Ooh that's tantalising!

CreepingDogFart · 23/02/2016 20:20

I can't wait I'm too excited. It's like Christmas Eve but the scary version.

hollyisalovelyname · 23/02/2016 20:40

Thank you Myredcardigan

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 23/02/2016 22:01

Slower paced episode tonight but gripping in parts

I'm not interested in the human trafficking gangster saga , I'm finding that pointless if I'm honest.

southeastdweller · 23/02/2016 22:06

Totally agree StillStaying about the trafficking story. Maybe the point is that it's tied in with the prostitute murder story? I hope so.

ineedaholidaynow · 23/02/2016 22:19

Wondering if the human trafficking gangster will be linked in some way, would appear that he was murdered.

Wonder what will happen to Mosely (can't remember his character's name)?

Find Frances very creepy

Clawdy · 23/02/2016 22:20

Not sure about the "beautifully constructed " episode tonight. Found it hard to believe the young police woman would meet John for a drink, and also that she would blithely witter on about erections in front of him and her boss. It seemed out of character and rather silly.

Cocolepew · 23/02/2016 22:22

I really want to push Catherine and Clares hair away from their face Blush
Love it though.

southeastdweller · 23/02/2016 22:27

I think the ambitious young police woman sees John as her way to move further up the ladder. The net's closing in on him and I expect she'll be the one he'll confess to.

GettinTrimmer · 24/02/2016 15:30

I was distracted when the young police woman sussed it was Vicky found strangled - how did she work it out?

Really enjoying this, didn't see the first series. Frances is odd, I'm wondering what she's going to do, being very drawn in by vile psychopath, played well by normally lovely James Norton!

Cocolepew · 24/02/2016 16:24

She just mentioned about the woman missing from the flat that has been burnt out hadn't been found yet and put 2 and 2 together. She said the description fit her.

diddl · 24/02/2016 19:09

So do we think that John will get away with it?

I thought it was ominous when he crashed his car and the woman said something like "you need to be more careful".

diddl · 24/02/2016 19:11

The TA is really creepy isn't she?

Not quite sure who is playing whom there!

I was wondering if it really happened or if he was just visualising it iyswim.

Clawdy · 24/02/2016 19:20

I thought the John name-calling scene was not very believable. Some of those names sounded ridiculous, I think the scene was over-written. The whole scenario of him returning home to find them in bed just sounded wrong. There was no build-up to the story.
