Just saw the trailer for a new series of this - can't wait! Smile

I also think the killer is Neil but the idea that it's Frances is interesting. Has there ever been on TV a fictional female serial killer that sexually assaults her victims? I don't think so and SW is bold enough to make it happen.

hollyisalovelyname · 17/02/2016 19:24

Who is Neill?
Who is Frances?

southeastdweller · 17/02/2016 19:31

Neil is Claire's old school friend and love interest. Frances is the TA/Moaning Myrtle played by Shirley Henderson.

hollyisalovelyname · 17/02/2016 19:37

Thank you

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 17/02/2016 19:46

In Cracker there was a woman who violated victims after her dh was arrested. She tried to get him off by killing women.

LizKeen · 17/02/2016 20:14

I thought that Molesly killing Vicky was a bit daft tbh.

Other than that, I love the show and I love Siobhan Finneran.

southeastdweller · 17/02/2016 21:57

I hope that whoever the killer is, it's someone we 'know' instead of some random who pops up at the end.

delilabell · 18/02/2016 08:05

diddl it's been bugging me too. "Winnie" was in the last series of Whitechapel. She kept turning up/stalking them when bad things happened. Then they realised she was in photos and pictures from hundreds of years and maybe thought she was the devil. Then they cancelled Whitechapel and we never found out!!

diddl · 18/02/2016 08:08

Why would it be Frances though?

diddl · 18/02/2016 08:10

Ah yes, delila

Her name (first & surname) sounded like Lucifer iirc.

Loved that show!

Phil Davis was great & RPJ fine to look atGrin

delilabell · 18/02/2016 08:58

Yes! lucy something.....
I signed a petition when it ended Blush it was a fabulous series.

He is indeed a figure of beauty.

diddl · 18/02/2016 09:32

Louise Iver!

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/02/2016 20:43

Havnt read any replies yet as still watching

Just wanted to say I used to sing that veggie song in Assembly and children I've nannied for still sing it

Clawdy · 18/02/2016 20:45

I remember Winnie playing Catherine Howard in the Six Wives series as someone mentioned up thread. Her dad was Donald Pleasance, who usually played sinister characters.

southeastdweller · 18/02/2016 21:46

Why would it be Frances though?

Like a P.P says, she could have killed TLR's mother so he could stay dependent on her. As for killing the others, she's obviously unhinged anyway. Plus most people would assume the killer is a man so if it's a woman then dramatically it could be really shocking.

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/02/2016 21:53

Was fab. Another great episode

Yes the drinking scenes were good and a tad close to home :(

I did wonder if claire would get killed .....

Vicki signed her own death warrant and yes proves people will do anything when pushed - not sure how will get rid of for body

Guess he can wipe files easily being a copper

Neil could be the killer

And yes I puzzles about the house layout - looks like the conservatory is out the front???

Ans totally agree about ta jobs

They are like gold dust and def use local people/ often mums who have done the course

Gwenhwyfar · 19/02/2016 22:43

"I wondered if TA woman killed Tomee lees mother as part of wanting him to be dependant on her."

I think she killed the mother because she'd misunderstood him and thought that was what he wanted. She was shocked when he was sad about his mother's death.

TeaT1me · 19/02/2016 22:49

ah good point! I still think its her though. She's super creepy (good evidence that!)

ILikeToClean · 20/02/2016 08:37

Only just caught up. Great episode. Yes the TA thing / Vicky's murder were unrealistic but tbh this programme is so good I can forgive!

Poor Claire - just finding happiness and looks like she's going to blow it. I hope not.

Such good acting all round.

It was obviously daft for Catherine to go to the funeral, but not necessarily improbable. After all, TLR is the man who raped her daughter, impregnated her and drove her to suicide, tried to murder her and kidnapped her grandson.

What I found more unlikely was letting Ilenka go back with Winnie when there was a possibility of the traffickers coming after both of them. I would have thought they'd have spirited her off to a safe house somewhere else.

OnlyLovers · 20/02/2016 14:01

Am I imagining it, or did the TA/psycho girlfriend not speak to TLR with a Scottish accent?

No, she had a Scottish accent. A fairly soft one, granted.

And in the first episode we saw her arriving with lots of luggage, as if she might be relocating for at least the medium term, and checking in to a hotel or B&B or whatever it was.

Pike, instead of just enjoying the celebrity status that your hometown is currently experiencing, perhaps you should be trying hard to convince us that not all its inhabitants are wild-eyed obsessives!! Wink

CreepingDogFart · 20/02/2016 17:28

In series one, I can't remember properly but maybe someone here can: was Becky (Cath's daughter) involved with drugs before her death? Also do we know for sure that Tommy raped her? I feel there's more to this part of the storyline and it might surface in this new series.
